Exactly!It's like wrestling w/a pig.
Eventually you realize you're just getting dirty & the pig is enjoying it.

Beating yourself up is not productive. But but......How am I to learn what was wrong if I don't have a clue?

Can someone please tell me how a "kick" works? I spent the holiday weekend reacquainting my self with a mech (yes, Sir Rod, they really are a nice change on occasion), and while I enjoyed it, the lack of P3-type safety features was a bit scary ...
Does the kick provide any safety features? I'm thinking that's what LB is asking.Basically you adjust the blue knob/thingy with a small Phillips screwdriver to adjust the wattage you want to vape at (it tops at 15,) put the kick on the kick ring of the mech mod, or just way up top where the positive pin of the mech would touch the pin/plate on the kick, put your battery in, with the positive touching the bulge below the kick, and there you go (based on the Kick2 by evolv, as that the only one I have.)
Hope it was clear enough and helps, if not I can try to get some pics up later when I arrive home.
Oh, and you should use a battery size smaller than the tube(s)/tube combination allows to. E.g. If your mech is sized for an 18650, use an 18500 instead to allow for the kick.

Huh???
Oh! Yes, it does. I believe it has reverse battery protection, but don't quote me on that, which many users struggled to know why then the DNA30 didn't have that. And it has low battery protection, it will not fire when the battery needs a recharging and won't kill it by discharging below safe limits.
It's basically a smart-ish mod, where you can't adjust Amon the fly or as easily, but well protected and with a stable power delivery.
Yes. The kick is like a fuse. An in between the battery and mod. Not only to provide regulated power. But to trip if you go wrong.
And that thread. They kept referring to .9 as sub ohming. Not realizing that provari just issued an update to sustain .5 ohm loads. Which is truly sub ohming They kept referring to the features. But never going into detail. Like just leaving battery safety as that. Never actually talking about battery IQ technology. B. Seems like none of them ever owned a rari. And there for knew nothing about the ups and downs to owning one
I can make a rari shine. Without the gimmicks or blowing thru 5 mils of juice in 3 vapes.
Completely agree with everything you said. Mechs offer zero performance advantages today except for form fit and cosmetics.Don't worry, RB. With your ProVari you'll never have to deal with that, it's only for mech mods.
Mechs have their place but nowadays mostly from the beauty of them, as the advantages of them are little to none with today's overpowered regulated mods.
And a ProVari is and will continue being a great experience, and safety like no others.
Do you happen to know the amp or resistance limits? Not important. I'm just curious so don't bust your hump looking for it.

No true, built right, they can exceed many regulated mods...Completely agree with everything you said. Mechs offer zero performance advantages today except for form fit and cosmetics.
Thanks Neo.It goes from 0.5 to 3.5 ohms, and its limit is 6 amps.
You have a 3.5 ohm limit on your confidence in understanding things. Remember. you're the guy who said rebuilding was way above your pay grade. Now you are able to offer your insight to builds. Yes you can!!!Trust me, I'm not worrying. I can truly say what you explained, while I'm sure is quite accurate and would help someone who wants to know how to "kick" a mech (if that's even correct the way I said it) will likely never enter my vape-a-cabulary. No, it likely won't!

The key word is "many" but not all. If someone wants the parameters you provided there are reg mods that will do that.No true, built right, they can exceed many regulated mods...
How bout this? Can they go here? The key word is "many" but not all. If someone wants the parameters you provided there are reg mods that will do that.
