I found a good use for the two part top cap.

i use the Sophia with a cage tank from house of mods and after a long day, it can become screwed down pretty hard, anyone with a Sophia or carto tank for that matter knows that at times they can be a bloody nightmare to remove from a provari or any mod, as when you turn the tank it just it spins around the carto preventing you being able to unscrew it, with you ending up having no choice other than pulling the tank off the carto over the sink, in the process wasting a tank full of juice.

well good news the 2 piece design P3 cap allows you to just unscrew the outer ring instead, which in-turn will gently lift and unscrew your tank, without removing the inner 510 part provided you have screwed it down nice and tight with a penny on delivery.

Ie hold this ring tight with two fingers and with your other hand turn your provar in the opposite direction.

Am sure it's not a design feature but a welcome trick for carto/Sophia users :)

Just watched Dmitris' video...made mention of the price coming in under $250...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yLe85YcTv_c&list=UUnWnGz5VVXme87MNUpm_Drg

See, that's where I am. Which is why I like dimi's take on things. He likes the hobby side of things but he is basically a fairly low power vaper. I thought the price might be coming in under $250.00.. Stands to reason. Provari 1, Provari 2, you'd think they'd want to keep the P3 within range of their current market.

Thanks for posting the link.

Vape360 - Another observation / feature request. Hey, it's just firmware, so can't be TOO difficult, right? ;)

I've spent an exhaustive day at ECC with the P3. Lots of people playing with it, making comments that have already been made, etc... However, I noticed that while in my pocket, it's possible to get into the menu and change settings unintentionally, even when "OFF". Not sure I noticed this in the v2.5...

It'd be great if the ON/OFF menu setting had a 3rd option - LOCK. When LOCK is engaged, the 4 button presses to get into the menu should go to the UNLOCK option, perhaps with another sequential number of button presses to unlock it (not more, not less), which not only unlocks it, but prevents you from having to navigate to the ON/OFF menu item. Just thinking out loud, making a suggestion.

2 more exhaustive days left, many more hands yet to fondle the P3.

ProVari 2.5, black $179. Green LED, +$20. 18650 extension cap, +$20. $219 grand total.

P3, comes with every color LED plus "extension cap", $239.99 - you heard it guessed here first. ;)

Provape is actually doing the right thing by supporting the B&M's that have invested in their products. I just wish Provape had come up with a better solution to the cumbersome menu system. Perhaps they'll change it prior it's actual release date. Their fit, finish and service are second to none, but it's still much more complicated than it should be...

Disrespect to not have it online at the start, there's no B&M for hours near me, I might have to reconsider buying it. No appreciation for online customers it seems

An interesting review of the P3 Beta. Appolagies in advance if you have already seen this vid:

I am sticking to my guns we are months away from launch day..... IMO there are still a few tweaks to work out... Menu system-maybe? Penny tight atty connection ? I still think reverse threads would be the way to go.... As long as the P3 has been in the works it should be near perfect, after all it is a Provari. :)

Spot on. While a menu system can't please everyone, having a QUICK "ON/OFF" option is a must before putting any device in your pocket or bag. I'd even settle for 5 or so button presses with some button lighting confirmation, just like I have now with my little iTaste VV, that's only 3 button presses. Not having to go into any menu to turn on/off is a must in my opinion, but it's beta so we'll see.

Nah, not buying your months away hypothesis. The holiday's are coming up and it seems to me Provape fully intends to have P3's in our stockings this year. That means B&M launch in the coming weeks and online sales in time for Santa.

Care to wager a gentleman's bet??

Vape360 and John, I think I understand your post but please humor me and don't hesitate to correct me. :)

The P3 should have a "LOCK" feature which means the device can fire BUT NO settings can be changed and the screen displays a "visual cue" indicating it's in "LOCK" mode. Once the device is in lock mode and you try and enter the Menu system it should also display a "visual cue" indicating it's in "LOCK" mode

When the P3 is in "LOCK" as I defined above, you can also "Power Off" the device and the screen displays a "visual cue" indicating it's turned off.

When you "Power Up" the device to vape it is still in "LOCK" mode

When you swap/change bats the device is still in "LOCK" mode

Assuming I have both oars in the water, IMHO, these features are required. After all, it's got to be purse/pocket friendly and ideally "set and forget"

:)

If they reverse threaded it, people would complain about the connector loosening when they tighten down their atty. Some people just need something to complain about.

That means absolutely nothing to the rest of the world.

I'm sorry, but that statement is a bit ridiculous.

There was a time when "MADE IN THE USA" was a standard for things to be measured against.
Yes, 99% of those days are gone, but that doesn't mean America has nothing left. Maybe the majority of companies outsource their manufacturing to Asia, or Mexico...maybe Europe produced all their own high-falutin' snobby stuff...but companies like ProVape make me proud.
Not only do they source as much as they can from within our own country, but they create jobs for Americans as well, directly and indirectly.
With today's economy, and the TRUE unemployment rate (not the one the media sells you), creating even one job for an American worker is something to be proud of. America used to be the blue collar, factory of the world. Now it's filled with vain, selfie-snapping imbeciles, addicted to "realty TV", convinced they'll be the star of the next Teen Mom or Jersey Shore...in the rat race to make America look even more foolish.
Companies like ProVape are hanging on to that old school American pride, and making it count. They're giving a top shelf name to an American company, in a fast paced, ever-expanding, Euro-Asian dominated industry.
By today's standards, being able to go toe-to-toe with a European or Asian product, and beat out most of the competition, is really something worth being proud of.
So you can think it means "absolutely nothing" to the rest of the world, but from where I'm sitting, ProVape has raised the bar in the world of regulated mods, in both finished product and manufacturing process...and is PROUDLY MADE IN THE USA.

and a little pride on a product that was designed and built right here in the USA.

I didn't want to quote your entire post. It was just too long. There are many people who feel exactly as Lem. Not everyone with a ProVari lives in the US so all that proudly made in the USA would mean little to nothing to them.

I do live in the US and I'm not one who thinks made in the USA makes my device the end all be all so for me it also doesn't mean much either.

EVERY device I own has the same legendary ProVape quality & customer service attached to it & didn't come from the US. I'm not worried should something happen I'm stuck with no recourse.

6.3" MEGA!
