Just got my Provari 3 a couple of days ago... it's working great so far and i'm loving it.. However, the battery life indicator is rather inaccurate. I'm using Sony VTC5 batteries with it. After I use it for a while, it'll show "empty". Once I unscrew the cap and screw it on again, it'll show something like 50%, 70%, or whatever the battery life actually is. I've never used a Provari before so I'm not sure if this is just something normal for Provaris. Is anyone else having the same problem???

Also, I noticed that I have to turn up the wattage quite a bit for a strong hit. My cousin has some kind of ZNA clone and when he turns his up to 7 watts, it has a very strong hit. On the Provari 3, I get a very weak hit at 7 watts. I would have to turn mine up to like 13 watts to get a comparable hit on it. We are both using VTC5 batteries and .8 ohm coils...

I would say with a .8 ohm coil you're at about the right setting at 13 watts on a P3. Provari are VERY accurate.

I can see me going through a battery as I learn the menu.

Nah, you'll be surprised how easy it is to set one up. I think I spent less than 5 minutes going through the menus, making my selections and then just marveling at how fantastic the P3 is!

I doubt they would be appropriate for the P3. IMHO they are the most trusted protected battery out there, but not good for any of our mods with regulation/chips. I think it has something to do with amp limit:blink: They are protected li-ion batteries and are on ECF's list of acceptable batteries for mod use.....just not all mods. :)

After reading Can I Use this IC Protected Battery in My ProVari? I guess there's not much point in trying the newer 3400 mAh protected ICR batteries. I'll continue using unprotected IMRs.

One more day of wating. I'm really looking forward to trying the HotShot™ Boost mode this weekend! My son's P3 is already out for delivery this morning.

Same problem with the battery. I posted it here a while back. Cleaned everything up with ipa and it worked good for a few hours. Now the battery empty comes back all the time. Drives me nuts since i love the p3 but it is annoying. Happens to all my batts, including 2 new ones from pro ape. :(

It seems to be pretty simple actually. Most of it you'll set the first time and probably never fiddle with it again. I mean, how many times does someone want to change their LED color? Is life that uninteresting that changing the Provari LED color becomes a highlight of one's life? :)

My LED changes color every time I press it. Didn't you read the manual :D

There's definitely something going on- I reported battery concerns earlier but I'm finding it's not consistent. Some of my batteries are less than optimum, but I also have a new VTC4 and I'm expecting those Panasonic NCR18650LFs are in my mailbox (although I'm waiting for a reply or comment on those Hybrid IMR LF's specifically).

Make sure you clean everything - threads, bottom cap, contact, battery ends etc...

I'm starting to suspect something with the bottom spring  - noticed a big improvement when I soaked it in PGA (I have a small flask I use for deep cleaning that barely fits). Also I swabbed the connector with a well soaked qtip. Now (on my 3rd day) my VTC4 is getting acceptable 7-10 hours which is ok for me- not as good with the AW's.

Also, I've noticed it'll drop down to low 80%'s then stay there a while before plunging quickly to single digits where it stays for a while before hitting empty. If I remember, I'll check the loaded voltage on a p2.5 before recharging next time.

24 hrs with this guy, and I'm loving it.
AW 18500s seem to be lasting me around 5 hours at 12w w/ nautilus bvc 1.8ohm coil and Level 1 Boost. Which I thought was pretty fair due to the 18500 size. Crushing this 5ml tank.
This is my first vv/vw device, and first provari, with that being said, I found the menu to be very intuitive. The one button scrolling system works. I set the speed to the 2nd setting and it's perfect for me.
