No P3, no pink slip. Site still says Expected Delivery Saturday (today). I had a feeling it was NOT going to come today. It will probably show up Monday or Tuesday. Thank Goodness there are no holidays next week

Bronze, my tracking says the same thing. Left Kent, WA at 1 something. There was no way in heck it was going to get all the way down here overnight. Not when you are talking about the USPS. But you never know, sometimes miracles happen ;)

My track said it left 1AM yesterday (not today)...nearly 36 hours ago. I'm guessing my P3 is sitting at the post office. Seriously, these weekend USPS carriers rank as some of the laziest government workers there are.

I thought the government dropped the postal service as a federal entity? I don't know why but I remember hearing something about the USPS being a privately owned corporation now, same as UPS/FEDEX/DHL, except the USPS still maintains its previous federal entity status...
That's why they started charging more and offering more shipping style services...Cuz they're not paid by the government anymore...
That all could have been my brain making stuff up, but I could have sworn something like that happened...someone please tell me the real deal!!!!!

Something like that. But it's like Fannie and Freddie. They were a publicly held entity but for all practical purposes they were quasi-government run. Add enough regulations and it is, in effect, government run.

Wrong - all of AW's "protected" batteries are black in color. The 'red' ones are unprotected.

Thanks for the condescending vibe!
"Wrong -" way to go about replying to me.
I literally said in my post "I am not a battery authority" and that "I'd never heard of the black AW's"...
I was just trying to help out a fellow vaper, by answering their question to the best of MY ability...not lay down some kind of battery law. Nobody else had answered them.
Regardless of whether I knew the difference between red and black AW's, I was still right in telling that person to not use the black ones...protected batteries are no good in a Provari.

Thanks Bronze!
I knew I wasn't crazy, but I also knew I didn't have all the info...so USPS employees aren't ACTUAL government employees...they just work for a company that has all kinds of special protections and whatnot...yeah?

*** It's here! ***

There's been a
lightly used, freshly charged 1600 mAH 18650 AW IMR battery
sitting next to a
new, ohms-checked 1.8Ω (measured 1.79Ω) Empire Mods bridgeless atty
sitting next to a
well-steeped bottle of Mountain Oak Vapors Apache
on my end table all morning.

Time to christen my first ProVari. :D

I know as much as you. It's not exactly a government owned/operated function (not sure what the true structure is) but with all the regulations imposed on it the USPS is, for all practical purposes, a government operation. Amtrak may be similar. Perhaps someone more familiar with this topic will clarify for us. I'm too lazy on a Saturday afternoon to google it up.

Installed the battery and it came up in "mech" setting--9.6W, 4.2V @ 1.8Ω.
(reports 1.82Ω and 93/Great IQ at the end of A up or A down scroll)
(actually 4.2^2/1.82 = 9.69W)

Haven't checked what display brightness defaults to, but it's perfect for bright indoors.
The OLED characters may be a little small, but are so crisp I can read them up close without my bifocals.

Wouldn't fire when I squeezed my little finger on the end cap, LOL!
I keep doing that out of habit every time--not used to a push button.
At least the 18650 size helps me keep my little finger off the bottom.

OMG, the Boost is great! Set it on 2 and you can really hear and taste the difference!

Edit: Think of IQ as reflecting voltage to the coil as a percentage of that plus the voltage drop of the internal battery resistance under load and that of all the connections. In other words, the efficiency.
