It could occur with them as well though. I guess?

You may be right… the cartos in tanks I tested were at 2.3 and 2.6 ohms (Ikenvapes) and they did get that error. (I confirmed those resistances on an ohmmeter)

It may be boost doesn't work with more than 1.8Ω, which is the highest resistance you can use to get 20W at 6.0V.

It definitely had no problems when this atty was measuring 1.8Ω.

OK Guys

I just retested and could not duplicate the burnt cardo.

In a nutshell... Provi V2.5 powered down, reading cardo resistances.

Two 3.2 ohm rez cardos read 0.8 ohms. Cold, on an unpowered V2.5 Provi.

If we took those two cardos and adjusted the voltage or watts to what is recommended for a 3.2 ohm cardo, and also had BooST set to level 3.

And the P3 read them cold at 0.8 ohms, and applied the math to the volts, watts, and BooST... It could lead to a smoked cardo.

I think that is what happened to me, and something Y'All may want to consider.

Got mine about 25 minutes ago,,,
After watching the Busardo video earlier today, I was able to navigate the menu without having to read the manual. Set at 11.6 watts with Boost at 2.
Topper is a ceramic-wicked AGA-T with a 1.7 ohm coil. The ceramic is quite a heat sink and the Boost is an extremely great feature to have. Going to experiment with higher Boost settings, but so far the vape is excellent.

Thanks for the report. Glad to hear the positive feedback on the boost.

Well, it's up to 25º and clear (from 16º) this morning. P3 is "Out for Delivery" as of about an hour ago. This is just such a day I'd get a missed delivery slip to save getting out of the truck.

edit: at least the wind is dead calm

Well, mine was a no-show today, USPS failed again. I was at the mailbox, and my batteries came, and that was it. Yet the website is still saying delivery Saturday the 15th - lame...

Sorry to hear that Peter...

Sounds like you may have to take Monday off of work, just to catch up on some vape time!

My condolences, Peter--to you and others who didn't get delivery. FWIW, mine arrived in Cincinnati an hour before it left Kent WA according to the tracking. Pilot's name must've been Marty McFly.

Thanks for the condescending vibe!
"Wrong -" way to go about replying to me.
I literally said in my post "I am not a battery authority" and that "I'd never heard of the black AW's"...
I was just trying to help out a fellow vaper, by answering their question to the best of MY ability...not lay down some kind of battery law. Nobody else had answered them.
Regardless of whether I knew the difference between red and black AW's, I was still right in telling that person to not use the black ones...protected batteries are no good in a Provari.

I am sorry that I offended you. That was not, nor ever is my intent. Only reason I know this bit of info is because I own a Billet Box, and the suggested battery *is* the black protected AWs.
My desire is only to do my part when I can, as so many others have helped me in my vaping journey.

I apologize to you. I do not seek to score points, or upset folks on this great forum.

This one.

Given what I've experienced with the boost, I'd get the 1.5Ω ones. (and I have one of those)

Very Good Sir.

I picked up an HH.357 at Vapercon 5 East from Avid Vapers.

Haven't really done much with it though.

I do want to get the Dripper Pro ByLeo though.
