About six four hours and 66% battery. We're talking non-stop dripping here--just enough break to keep the atty from overheating.

I was wrong about that being six hours and 66%… it was four hours. Just now five hours and 56%… resistance still at 1.74Ω but IQ is down to 88 / Great

At 18 mg/ml, I'm getting a little OD'd vaping this much, LOL.

Well, mine was a no-show today, USPS failed again. I was at the mailbox, and my batteries came, and that was it. Yet the website is still saying delivery Saturday the 15th - lame...

I was disappointed but not surprised. If USPS has the opportunity to disappoint they almost always come through.

That's still real good if you've been hot boxing it all afternoon.

Okay… I'm throwing in the towel. I never vape this much for more than an hour or so. I have no idea how much juice I used since I was dripping, but it was as non-stop as I could manage without popping the coil.

At 9.6W with Boost on #2, the 1600 mAH AW IMR went about 5 hours and 20 minutes to reading 50% on the P3. It's (cheap) multimeter voltage started at 4.20V and upon removal was 3.65V.

Have a good evening, friends!

Son Of A Provi!!!

It just happened again.

Pulled a cardo out of my backup kit. Popped it on my P3. Set it to 3.7 volts with a BooST of 5.

And Bam... Textbook burned cardo. Keep in mind the cardo is only two days old.

Reads a rez of 3.2 ohms on the P3. Reads a unloaded rez of 0.8 on a unpowered Provi V2.5. Reads a loaded rez of 3.2 ohms on that same V2.5 Provi while powered up.

Be Aware of this Guys...

OK Guys

I just retested and could not duplicate the burnt cardo.

In a nutshell... Provi V2.5 powered down, reading cardo resistances.

Two 3.2 ohm rez cardos read 0.8 ohms. Cold, on an unpowered V2.5 Provi.

If we took those two cardos and adjusted the voltage or watts to what is recommended for a 3.2 ohm cardo, and also had BooST set to level 3.

And the P3 read them cold at 0.8 ohms, and applied the math to the volts, watts, and BooST... It could lead to a smoked cardo.

I think that is what happened to me, and something Y'All may want to consider.

Hi everyone, I don't know if it's a known bug or if my unit is faulty but my P3 seems to only monitors battery life if the screen is set to show info when firing. When the screen is set to stay off and I go in the Aup or Adown menu to check battery life, it gives the last reading that was shown before turning the screen off. Don't know if I'm clear...
This morning I put a fresh battery before going out, the screen was set to off since last night. Hours later I go in the Aup menu to check battery life and see 99%. More hours later still 99%... So I turn the screen on, fire and see 73%, take a few puffs and see 47%, like it has just started monitoring and is adjusting. Then I set the screen off, and an hour later it still reads 47% through the menu. I turn the screen on again and see 39%...

Firmware is version 35, production model. Brand new AW IMR batteries.

Second issue: since I got my P3 yesterday I've been using the same 3ohm Boge cartomizer, between 8 and 9W. Activating boost mode (whatever the level) gives me an error 31 (OUTPUT SETTING OR ATOMIZER OHMS TOO HIGH). The P3 fires, but I've got that warning sign on my screen. I've tried lowering watts, even down to 4W, and it doesn't change anything: activating boost mode gives that error. I've tried voltage mode as well as a different battery, same thing. Ohm reading is 3.05 and IQ is 89.

Plop1,
I just sent you a PM

I am sorry that I offended you. That was not, nor ever is my intent. Only reason I know this bit of info is because I own a Billet Box, and the suggested battery *is* the black protected AWs.
My desire is only to do my part when I can, as so many others have helped me in my vaping journey.

I apologize to you. I do not seek to score points, or upset folks on this great forum.

You know what PETER?!????
You know what????????

I wasn't really offended...so no apology necessary! Hahaha!
I was just a little on-the-fence in regards to how I should interpret your response...so I just kinda put on the sarcastic war-paint.

Anywho...I'm glad you shared about the difference, because like I said, I'd never even heard of the black AW's...

Plop1,
I just sent you a PM

Which was informative, thanks again!

Interesting: I noticed I am getting a slightly better IQ reading when using my old v2.5 extend cap in 18490 mode, compared to the stock one (IQ 87 vs 85 when I tested last night). Possibly due to the fact that there is less threading?
Besides I prefer the look and feel that way :)

Was it regarding your second issue, the warning? I'm interested in the reply since I get that warning too occasionally

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
It appears use of BoosT is limited to resistances of 1.8Ω* and lower.

DETAILS:
With Boost On (2B), regardless of the voltage or power level set (even if as low as 3 watts), if the displayed resistance is greater than 1.8Ω, whatever's displayed in the upper right will alternately flash with the error symbol, an exclamation point in a bell (flat top triangle), and that symbol will be added to the end of the main menu.

Selecting that from the menu yields: WARNING - OUTPUT SETTING OR ATTY OHMS TOO HIGH [31] TO FIX - REDUCE WATTS OR CHANGE ATTY … And yes, it says to reduce WATTS whether in VW or VV mode. It will give this error even with wattage set down to 3 watts.

Regardless of all this, the device will vape normally, but without BoosT.

EXCEPTIONS:
During and after a 1+ second button press/draw, the error is not displayed until a short click of the button is applied.

For what it's worth, it worked with boost when the A display of resistance of my atty showed 1.82Ω and the main display was showing 1.8Ω.

POSSIBLE FACTOR:
1.8Ω is the highest resistance that can produce 20 watts with the 6.0 volt maximum voltage.

* DISCLAIMER: I was only able to test this with resistances of 1.8Ω and 2.2Ω. I don't know for a fact what happens with 1.9Ω - 2.1Ω, but I am sure this doesn't happen at 1.8Ω and below at 9.6 watts with BoosT #2… and it DOES happen at 2.2Ω and above as low as 3W with BoosT #2.

Edit to add: with 1.7Ω load, I can set it as high as 19.2W / 5.7V on Boost #2 without error.
