you caught that before i edited my response. Sorry. My screen doesn't show ohms always. It alternates between ohms and boost as it's supposed to.

That would mean that my answer is out of line.

I apologize.

Jim

Don't post things like that. It makes me more confused.;) Now I have to figure out what you think is out of line. Stop it!!!

I just spent 5 minutes conducting an experiment to illustrate what I thought was how the battery gauge works. I was wrong. Now I don't understand how it works at all. Please don't anyone try to explain it, my mind has shut down. 93 IQ is only condescension at this point. I feel mocked.

Has anyone else gotten this error code?

Provape programmers... Remember when people would put easter eggs in software all the time? This^ is a thing that should show up with the right combination of menu changes or something.

I love the main display as it is--don't change it !

9.8W | Ω …….. (W and V swapped vertically if in VV mode)
3.9V | 1.6

or

9.8W | BoosT …. or same as above if boost is off, which is never for me
80% | 2B …...….or same as above if boost is off, which is never for me

Putting it in perspective:
Check Battery
ProVari 3 - click once 50% of the time, twice the other 50% of the time
Previously - click the button eleven times

Check Atomizer Ohms
ProVari 3 - click once 50% of the time, twice the other 50% of the time
Previously - click the button thirteen times

Wait....What???? You're getting IQ readings at 93?? My P3 isn't that smart. Mine hovers in the 90 range to start the day, then goes down to the mid 80s. Geesh. LOL Oh and I don't understand most of the readings on my P3. No I don't. But it vapes so wonderfully every single time I push the button, that I figure it's smarter than I am and I'm not really supposed to understand what it says anyway.

Very strange...
The right side of your screen doesn't display the ohms?

I have my display set to Off. Four clicks and it shows the voltage, but when it scrolls and I click either A↑ or A↓ then don't click it again, it will show volts, watts, battery%, ohms, and IQ. It doesn't show Boost though.

I'm glad the button blinks when the battery needs to be changed, so I don't have to know what any of it means. I have been vaping long enough to know that one should always brings a spare battery along, no matter what.

Have you put on your ProVarinati cap? It made my IQ go up.

But, when the upcoming zombie attack does happen, we will need 12v DC chargers for our batteries~! I for one have yet to find one at a reasonable price. We must be prepared - links anyone?

Yes, I immediately put on my ProVarinati cap, but IQ didn't change. It still says great, but not as "great" as some have reported.

I'm not worried about it. Somehow I have survived without knowing the "IQ" of any of my devices. It works: 100 IQ; there's a problem: 0 IQ. I don't understand the difference between 91 (which mine is now reading) and 93 (which it read a couple of hours ago) if they are both "great."

I just built my first dual-coil (Fogger V5). It came out to 1 ohms. I tried it on my usual 12 watts, but I was under-whelmed. It's probably due to my inexperience as a builder, anyway, I turned it up to 14...then 18 and at that point my P3 gave me an error.."output too high, lower watts/voltage". It should be able to fire a 1 ohm coil at 18 watts correct? Did I just build a crappy coil? It still did it when I turned Boost Off, btw.

It's actually the IQ of your battery...and subsequent circuit path, i.e. threads and battery contact on the chip.
The higher the score, the better your battery.
IQ = Input Quality
So Provape finally created a Provari that will not only tell you when it has a problem, or if your atomizer has a problem...but it will also tell you if your battery has a problem!
The v2.5 could only do the first two things!

Ah...you are definitely a v2.5 fan...not used to having a display on the screen when in use eh?
Yeah when you do those four clicks, you're entering the menu system. When you select A-UP or A-DOWN, and wait for it to pass watts/volts, it shows you the other info (battery/ohms/IQ), but won't show your boost setting...
2/3 of those things show up on the display when firing anyway.
