I'm really thinking of buying a p3, but have a few questions. basically I would only want to run it in 18350 as I like small setups. I also vape my v4's at around 1.3-1.4 ohms at around 18w.
battery life expectancy?
iq issues? been reading a lot of reports of people having issues with the p3.
I don't mind carrying around a few batteries, but I've read reports of 40 puffs on a 18350. I'd be changing a battery every 20mins at that rate lol
Littlebird, I have some conclusions. I accurately measured my juice consumption using one fully charged AW IMR 18350, 800 mah in my P3 until such point the indicator said it was "Empty". I burned exactly 3.0 mls of juice (7/8ths of a tank that held 3.4 mls). I was burning 70/30 on a 1.5 ohm coil at 8.2 watts. Your mileage may vary.
Anyway, that comes to 267 mah per one ml of juice burned. If you use this to infer, then a 1200 mah, 18490 should burn 4.5 mls. and a 2000 mah, 18650 should burn 7.5 mls. These all sound about right to me. Again,YMMV.
Your calculation is spot on with my experience. I only use 18490 and I go though about 4.5ml of juice in a day and my battery typically goes from 7:00 am till I go to bed at around midnight.

the P3 may become the last device you ever need to buy ... go for it.
by the way, this is by far the friendliest part of the forum I've come across so far!

Some might argue...![]()

Thanks for the advice fellas. yeah the kayfun barely leaves my mouth. I go through about 10-12 ml a day lol. so if I'm changing batteries 3 times a day it's no big issue for me. ta again.

Does anybody know if this battery is suitable for the P3?

IQ is an amazing feature, that will give the user the ugly truth about their batteries, as well as the cleanliness of the device. It simply tells the truth, as the P3 sees it. And this is a very well crafted, well thought out, safety minded device we're talking about here. Provape wasn't born yesterday. Their background was in electronics and programming BEFORE they got into the vape industry. So when I see people griping about the IQ, or the "unscrewed my battery cap and the battery percentage jumped back up!" issues, I just shake my head. Some people just don't understand the mechanics of these devices, especially regarding electrical contact points...
And here's to an (early) welcome to the family!

I've never had an ego or vaporshark, so I can't speak comparatively, but yes, you can actually scratch the soft touch with just your fingernail and remove the finish. I tried scratching my black P3 the same way and no damage. Both my black P3 and the blue soft touch have micro scratches, but the blue definitely marks up easier. I'm kinda sad to have learned that just now. Other than marking up easier, the blue also has a dryer, grippier feel than the black.
