Well, i've had every single provari model they've come out with, so I suppose i may as well get this one too. Hope it's as reliable as they were. I say were because i've had every single one stolen from me, or i've left them at bars, etc., so I need a new one anyhow. God, i've lost over a grand in provaris'.

I'd be sick over it. But then hard to feel too sorry when you leave them at bars. :)

It's every bit as reliable. You might want to consider chaining this one to you. They're too expensive to lose........

Get the P3. But get a simple backup too, for those moments in life ;)

..or get the P3 Casting Iron Special Limited Edition :D

LOL......my OCD about things looking perfect, would trump you OCD about germs, thus my P3 goes in my mod carrier right side up. I just grab it below the drip tip, so I'm not putting my fingers on it before it goes to my mouth.

OCD and germs...

I think about two different things when something like this comes up; Who drinks from soda/pop cans without washing them first, and, little kids that put anything and everything in their mouths without dying, and, (lastly) the fact that most all of us swallow a dozen spiders during our lifetime while asleep (factiod) - LOL

Um, Thanks Peter. As if I don't have enough to worry about. Now I have to add sleeping and ingesting spiders to my list of worries. Thanks A Lot!!

Mmm, spider meat. Yummy!

Just a few posts I picked out and no wonder we had pages and pages of posts about the P3 IQ system. If you are OCD you are compelled to buy a Provari because it works. If you are OCD the IQ is driving you crazy. For those with OCD the P3 is a gift and a curse. Yes it is.

Hence the new "Classic"! - that does not come with 'IQ'...

Get tested for 'sleep apnea', and then sleep with a 'CPAP' - then you can sleep with you mouth open breathing filtered air :)

I really dislike that facepalm emoticon thing. Really adds a condescending tone whether it's there or not.

But anyway - I'm not debating germs. I know I'm the one who's admittedly overly worried (for no reason what so ever). But if keeping my mod face down in a carrier versus throwing it in my pocket potentially with other stuff to get scratched and more likely to fall out of said pocket is all that it takes to make me feel better then itsallgood.

Hey folks. I love my P3, but the battery issues are really starting to wear on me. I just took out a battery it said was empty and it reads 4V on the charger. Contacts have been recently swabbed with iso, but it didn't completely solve the issue. The batteries I'm using are Sony VTC4/5's, and I can run them in an SX Mini all day at 16W. They're not fresh out of the package, but they work fine in other mods. Is there a good reference for debugging these issues, or is this just part and parcel to the P3 experience?

Yep, similar experience here, though I vape at 20W and my batteries get down to 3.8V or so before "EMPTY". I too have an SXmini, which truly does go down to 3.3V before cutting off voltage. ProVape claims they're cutting off the battery when they detect 3.3V, but something must be wrong with their detection method. 20W at 3.8V won't cause enough voltage sag on a high-amp battery to hit 3.3V and trigger the cutoff. Too bad there is no live battery meter on the screen like the SXmini has - at least then you could see the actual voltage sag.

Based on the forum posts here, the lower your wattage, the lower your battery voltage when "EMPTY", which makes sense as there is less current draw, and thus less voltage sag. But, I do agree with you - the P3 cuts you off **WAY** too early. Most of the specs I've seen on these good batteries claim a minimum voltage of 2.5V, so 3.3V is still high, but seems to be an industry standard. The SXmini will let you fire at 3.4V, and at higher power, I've seen the voltage sag down to 2.8-ish, so for a high power mod, 3.3V nominal cutoff is probably a good idea - for a low power device like the P3, it doesn't make much sense.

I hope Vape360 is listening, and can relay some better technical information from their engineers than last time - "it cuts off when it detects 3.3V". Clearly something is not right based on scratch's and my experiences with GOOD batteries (Sony VTC4/5, LG HE2, etc.), especially when used at higher power on another device that displays realtime voltage sag.

PS - I have a pile of "EMPTY" cells ready for charging today - AW 18650's, AW 18490's, AW 18350's, Sony VTC4's, and an LG HE2. I'll have more data on battery size, brand, etc. to try to find a pattern, and I'm logging all of this to try to figure out what ProVape can't seem to figure out. I really should build some sort of extension so I can monitor voltage sag on the P3 with high-end test equipment (though that would also affect internal resistance / IQ). Speaking of IQ, that's where I believe the issue originates, but it's just an educated theory at this point.

I am sorry that you feel this way. I think it's a funny 'smily', and I tend to use it with humor. I neither feel nor write to be condescending towards anyone. I am not perfect in any way, and have neither the right or desire to throw stones at anyone.

If I had a wish, it might be that before being upset by something a person wrote, perhaps by reading other posts by the same person could give a better perspective if it was meant harshly or not. It wasn't, and I am sorry you choose to take it as such.

My father sleeps with one of those machines. I think I'll take my chances and eat spiders instead!

Here I am drifting off-topic again...

My 'OSA' (Obstructive Sleep Apnea) was so bad it caused heart issues that are only some 18yrs later starting to calm down. I am a hosehead, will be for life, and don't even take a nap without my 'dream machine'. With all of my issues, this one issue (and the fix) has had the most drastic change in my life. It's all about the *degree* of apnea.

BTW - my P3 is still working flawlessly. So much so, I am honestly wondering if I should keep my P2 (looks just like day one) or if I should sell it?

Peter, I know those CPAP machines can save lives and I'm glad to know it does just that for you. I know what you mean about not being able to sleep without something. I'm a tooth grinder. A big time grinder. I have to sleep with a tooth guard and I'm so used to it, I can't sleep without it.

My P2.5 is in its' box in my vape drawer and doesn't get any vape time either. I toy with the thought of selling it, but then I worry that the moment I do, I'll do something to my P3 and be mod-less, which for me, is a horrifying thought. So, I'll likely keep my 2.5 as an emergency backup, just in case I have an emergency.

I'm with you on this. My 2.5 mini is practically useless to me now that I have the 3. If I'm gonna have a backup I'd like to have the Classic 2015 version at least. Or another P3! Or just one of my box mods for a backup.

I hate "flying blind" on my battery with the old 2.5. Sure I can check the voltage, but that's a hassle. And the lack of a floating 510 pin drives me nuts as it won't work with my Erlprinz, Erlkonigin clone or KF4 with the beauty ring on (unless I unscrew the pin a bit in the atomizer of course)... Somewhere along the line it seems 510 connections have been getting shorter! Or am I nuts?

What you say holds allot of truth. Ive been on this thread since its start. Often i can tell who is saying what, just from their style of writing, grammer and whatnot. I rarely have to even check the user names untill i see something out of the ordinary, and ask who did that come from?? (often from a new poster) Lol, we're all friends here and i can confidently say that no one here purposefully offends anyone with their comments.
