xtar VC4 is on my list...

I hated my Intellichargers. I gave them away when I got my XTAR VP2.
It makes them feel like toys.

Xtar VP2 - RTD vapor

Thank you for the quick answers! My 4 bay Intellicharger suffered sudden death tonight, for no apparent reason. Luckily, I have a 2 bay one for back-up. I used to have a 2 bay Xtar, that worked quite well, but I gave it to a friend (the same friend who I was going to give one of my 'Varis to, but at the last minute thought about how well I know her and gave her my Vamo. Good call. She's not vaping, she's now into rolling cigs because vaping is hard.)

Anyway, Xtar it is. I think I can use the 2 bay until I find a Memorial Day sale.

RB, how long until you build a sub ohm coil and report out on the P3's new capability? Don't bother sayin' "never," cuz your track record with coils suggests otherwise :D

When building coils, there's really no need to sub-ohm on a variable voltage/wattage device. The practice came about in order to get more power from a mechanical mod, but on a regulated mod you can just turn up the power. Usually, it's better NOT to sub-ohm because you can get more coil wraps, thus more surface area, thus more vapor. Thicker wire takes longer to heat too, even with boost.

The only reason I wanted the P3 to handle low ohm coils is for flexibility with all the sub-ohm tank heads that are all the rage these days. The first thing I did when I upgraded my P3 to v38 was use the 0.5-ohm coil that came in the box with my SubTank. I've been using the 1.2-ohm coils the whole time, and prefer them over the 0.5's - just don't want the 0.5's to go to waste!

The P3 doesn't have enough power (wattage) to take advantage of the extra power the sub-ohm coils can handle - it just takes longer to heat them up. Now if ProVape increases the wattage limit... ;)

Thumbs up on XTAR. Love my VP2 for the house and the SP1 for traveling. Great chargers!

Gah, I hate catching up on multiple pages. Still suffering sticker shock from some of the schools I visited with my daughter...

You and me both. It almost feels like work playing catch-up. Am away like 20hrs, and there are 42 unread posts in this thread alone. Bleh - you guys type too much :)

Wake Forest isn't in Wake Forest anymore. Wake Forest is in Winston-Salem. Has been since 1957. So you went to UNC. Did you look at NC State while here? Duke is super expensive.

We only went that far South because of how aggressively UNC has been courting her. Unfortunately, their FA package for her isn't very good--which means she'll likely choose another school...

Good luck Tim ... hope she lands somewhere she's looking forward to.

I'm going to reserve judgment on that, but my initial reaction is it's pretty darn fantastic! I do really really like how much quieter it is. I had watched the PB video comparing the KFL+ to the Russian 91% and it's one of the things he commented on. It's nice to have two very similar RBA's that both vape great!

RB are you are politician or lawyer? Judge will you please have the witness answer the question??

I gave it to a friend (the same friend who I was going to give one of my 'Varis to, but at the last minute thought about how well I know her and gave her my Vamo.

With friends like you who needs enemies. ;)

So that's how you went from No-Ox to SvoeMesto. You knew the job was open. Very bad... sounds like insider trading in the jobs market.

I know right??!! And Now I may have to start working for UCT/Kenbo. Lately Sir Rod's been gettin' around!

So sounds like cotton bacon is worth buying. The KGD has other uses, so no loss there :)

LB, cotton bacon is the easiest cotton to work with. You decide how thick you want it and the length and just pull on it. You can break off the end by just pulling it. 2 twirls with your fingers and slide it in the coil.

Lucena is out for delivery. I'll let you know how it tastes.

The day shift just took a nine pound Boston .... off the smoker, and is letting it rest. Dinner is pulled pork, corn tortillas, mango salsa, guacamole and queso. I was planning on scotch for cocktail hour, but am thinking perhaps from scratch margaritas ... Anyone interested in popping in for dinner? :)
