Leave it to me for my 1st mech to be one that didn't have a locking feature. Imagine, if you will, riding in the front seat of a car going 70mph, mod so hot you literally can not touch it while feeling it trying to burn a hole between your thighs. You know how much room is in the front seat.......NONE!!!
Prior to this, I knew nada about thermal runway. Believe me, I know now!!!

Cordless phones use NiMh cells (a different battery chemistry than what we use in our vapes), and are happy to be left on a charge indefinitely, from what I've read.

Li-Ion is a whooooooooooooole nother animal.
