From what I have learned from my Friend, Hank, (Rip hank! Who was a retired station chief from Kan. City MO. FD), The coffee machine and the plug in air fresheners are the two most dangerous things in a modern home). go figure!

I already carry a .45 everyday. It would make me looked like a South of the Border Bandit!

My (our) coffee maker is MADE IN U.S.A. We keep it plugged in. It is made to be and the instructions say so, to be kept plugged in so the water is constantly hot. Still, when we go on a trip, we unplug it even though it has a, "vacation switch." I should add it is plugged into a GFI.Can confirm multiple plug in air freshener related fatalities in my not so humble County; however, Mr Coffee has not done anyone in recently. But ya never know, them coffee maker types, they tricksie precious!

that would be anything with a heating element (those two items both have heating elements inside) are fire hazards. From what I have learned from my Friend, Hank, (Rip hank! That sounds like a Bunn. Mine consistently makes the best coffee I've ever made and does it with no muss or fuss. Due to extremely hard water here, and the resulting lime build up, I'm on my third one in fifteen years. That's after monthly de-limings.
If they could break the laws of chemistry and get one to last a long time in my environment, I'd say they are the Provari of home coffee makers.
And that's probably my absolute worst contribution to posting off topic. My apologies to all.

DING! DING! DING! DING! DING! DING! DING! You win the prize! It is a Bunn! When Jackie first started coming around, she was just amazed at how fast it made coffee!
One has to be careful, when picking it out, I could have bought a Chinese Bunn and paid $10 more. You don't have to hit me in the head with a brick!
I think it has (had) a 4 year warranty. Back when it was a month past that, I called (yes, CALLED) them and told them it was leaking out the back when I filled it. The lady on the phone (yes, PHONE) said, "Well, it's a month past the warranty but as a courtesy we will send you a new one, please send yours back when you get it." Well, there was nothing making me send it back (I had to pay shipping) but since they were so cool, I did.
My guess is a Primer, how close am I?Hehe. The only heating elements that regularly kill in my neck of the woods by way of "fire hazard" are small, often made of mercury, and usually enclosed inside a thin lining of brass.
Some even say "Welcome to Los Angeles!"

We use Nespresso Virtuoline
Same here.I buy quality things like Provari's for just this reason. The company stands behind their products. And that's VERY important to me. Yes it is!
I believe that is a blister pack coffee machine.![]()
The Clooney/DiVito commercials are idiotic though.I believe you are correct. But unless you've tried Nespresso, don't knock it. It makes one amazing cup of coffee........
Called? No way! When you buy quality you should expect quality service and so it seems Bunn delivered. We use Nespresso Virtuoline, which came bundled with the Aerocino machine to froth milk. Just about a month ago, when ours became a month out of warranty, it stopped Aerocino'ing. I called Nespresso and told them what happened and even out of warranty they expressed a replacement to me free of charge next day. I buy quality things like Provari's for just this reason.
