What is Boost suppose to do? When I had my P3 - only for a short time mind you - all I found was it changed the way I vaped. I like long slow deep drags...yea yea...and boost got too hot too quickly for me. I didnt like it so it was wasted on me.
Yep, boost is not for you.

The idea, of course, is that depending on your coil build the ramp-up to a glowing coil can be noticeable. I used to be on the habit of hitting the fire button a moment or two previous to taking a drag to compensate for that--and that worked, especially after it became automatic, something I did without thinking about.

But the boost feature worked also for me, and pretty well. Yeah, if I set it too high it was too much, but at 1 or 2 it got the coil going then cut out and I'd take a long, slow drag with vapor production throughout with no noticeable peaks or valleys.

Don't be afraid to use fatter wire for your coils now. Boost compensates for the slower heat up time inherent with thicker wire. So now you can have more coil area and not lose performance.
I'm using 28 gauge Kanthal in both my kayfun 4 and Mini v3. Other than that I'm hitting a Kabuki. What do you use on your Kayfun mini? Thanks.

I'm using 28 gauge as well. I had been using 30 gauge (pre-Boost) because it had quicker heat ramp up time. With Boost I was able to go to 28 gauge. 26 works too but I prefer 28.

I am building with 28G on both KM3s and the KFL+.
Spaced coil, 1-1.2 ohms.
No Boost for me on the P3 or the Radius.

I didn't like it either, @MsLoud :)

But it's good to have choices/options

Hello everyone! I've spent the last three days reading through both Radius threads and I wanted to make an account to say hi and stop lurking. I haven't posted on a forum since I was a teenager, so please let me know if I'm breaking thread etiquette, and I apologize in advance.

Some background (if anyone cares, haha) : I got my Radius a few days ago after having broken my Vanilla mod. When I first started vaping, I went from a Blu-like setup straight to a ProVari within a few weeks. That was back in September of 2013. I didn't switch over to my Vanilla until about a year ago. Seeing as how my ProVari is still going strong, I decided to jump and get the Radius. It seems I waited just long enough to be able to customize it and now worry about waiting for weeks for it to show up at my door!

Anyways, I'm enjoying it so far and wanted to introduce myself. Hello from Eastern Iowa! :D

Please ignore the beat-up, ill-fitting, copper Tugboat. She's all I have right now...

I got Ghost White, Graphite Gray and a purple button.

Hey, you could have a half-eaten trout on top of your mod and as long as it keeps ya off the analogs nobody here would give a damn. Well, cept maybe the trout.

Very snazzy. I've never been a big fan of the white, but it looks pretty slick with the graphite ends.

Which TVC flavors you got lurking there in the background?

Schweethart (new favorite!) and Hobbes' Blood. I don't vape anything else. What do you normally get?

Normally Honey Pearry and Trillian, although a friend recently turned me on to Miley Pearrus and that one may take over the #1 spot from Honey Pearry. Every once in a while I'll indulge my sweet tooth and get a bottle of Fluffy Cake, but not too often because it's so rich and decadent.

I ordered the regular black/ss but that was one of the custom designs I thought about getting sans purple switch. It does look killer in photo. I second what Jim said. Anything to keep from smoking.
