I dragged this from another thread to the appropriate one....

I'm not sure I get what HB's a'referring too, but I do think your mod holder is really nice!

Speaking of holders, in the non silicone sense, I gave my current rig the absolute Beat Down test from Hades this weekend. The Parts involved were a Stealth Radius, Stealth Kabuki, GMZ tube on said Kabuki, and a Kydex holster from our own Coffeebum. I spent 4 solid days of raging drunken debauchery at the Stagecoach Country Music Festival, often face first in a puddle of my own drool, and found my rig outperformed ME. I charged it once (using a 3k mah 18650) and that is IT. If that is not a testament to the durability of the Radius and Kabuki combo I don't know what is!

Me too. I've only broken one and I fault myself completely. I learned from that experience that there must be a top and bottom on your Kabuki and you remove the top piece of the Kabuki first with the bottom piece attached. This stops the glass from flexing.
I can't do this. My top won't budge.

I had to use a rubber jar opener thingy. Make sure the bottom piece is securely attached and with the rubber jar thingy grasp firmly and unscrew counter clock wise a little at a time.
This was the first way I attempted to take it apart. Gave up cause I didn't want to risk breaking the glass.

If you were near me, I'd come help you. It isn't easy to do that's for sure. But I did it to three of my Kabuki's this weekend to change out the o-rings for the new OMG Silicone ones.

I was only trying to remove it based on a post I read about getting more of the wick holes on the coil exposed. My chimney practically covers them giving me an extremely tight vape.

Do you have the 510 or P3 version? I've never seen a 510 one up close, but on the P3 version, the coil holes should look like this:

I took both my Juul and my normal Radius rig on the first day to the security booth. I told them their restrictions were vague at best. I showed them my Radius/Kabuki and said this is obviously a "Medium" style e-cig when compared to my Juul. Since I had a metal tube on I told them there is obviously no e-juice apparatus involved per their restrictions. The guy just looked at me like I had three heads and said, "Uh, okay, looks fine to me". Obviously they had no clue what they were talking about when they wrote the rules on the website. Worked out great for me but I wonder how many vaper types didn't even bring their stuff because of the stupidity of the promoter. I spoke at length with the promoter prior to coming out and he was insistent that I could not bring any "APV", "Mod", or similar device inside the venue. I walked up with my Radius day after day and just said, "Medium, no juice" and they waved me in each time. I was told by some security staff at the end of the event it was because of cloud chasers in the Coachella Event the week prior that had caused the restrictions. It turns out it was not from complaints from people attending but from staff that had difficulty video recording through the smog.

And since you have taken a personal interest in the event, here is the pasted rules from the site.

Can I bring E-Cigs?

Single use Mini’s (aka Cig-a-likes) are OK.

Mid sized e-cigs & vape pens are OK, however NO liquid refills will be allowed into the venue.

APV’s or Mods are NOT allowed in the venue.
(They are ok in RV RESORT)

Feel free to read the rules in their entirety at:

 Why would I have a personal interest in the event? I simply recall how irked you were about the new rule & how much you hated cloud chasers because of it.
Since you had already posted a few times that you couldn't take your Radius & Kabuki in the venue & bought a Juul because of it, my only interest was how you got it inside.

I remember reading where others with the 510 version had the same comment about the air holes being mostly covered by the chimney. Some said it didn't make a difference, others said it made the draw tighter like you're experiencing. What I don't know is if there is a simple remedy. Maybe start a conversation with Zen and ask him?

I have one of each type, 510 & P3. There is certainly more showing of the wicking holes on the P3 as compared to the 510 when all is cinched down and ready to go. That said I honestly don't notice any difference in the vape between the two. The only difference is that the coils get "stuck" in the chimney when I go to refill the 510 rig. Not really a big deal to me, more of a slight annoyance as it makes it a little slower to get back to sealed up as it feels as if I could easily cross thread in that situation. I am happy with both but if I add a 3rd to the stable it will be a P3 for sure.

DAGNABBIT!!!!!

I got a little freaked out yesterday after reading the Deeming Regs and had a small bout of Shinyitis. Among grabbing another liter or two of 100mg nic base for the freezer, I got me a Black/Sliver Radius and SS P3 Kabuki! I have been eyeballing one since they came out and figured I better grab one up for the coming "End". I wish I had known this code was coming out, I could have saved a few bucks!

Even though I didn't save a few bucks, I'm glad I can finally join in on the Radius/Kabuki conversation!

Welcome to the Provarinati ckquatt! I'm sure you're going to love love love your Radius Kabuki combo. I own two Radius and 4 Kabuki's!

I don't think we need to go panic shopping just yet, but we do need to start thinking what we'll need to have in our vaping drawers long term. Most of what we buy today is going to still be available for at least a year or more.
