From time to time, some factories put a model # on the blade. it is very common in pocket knives for instance. But an actual ssn, is usually a contract # from the Gov.So with out the serial numbers, that means that it is a non military issue?
Thanks

Were not marriedAnd she already sold the Radius. She wasn't happy with it because it takes too long to fully charge a battery and she hated the thumb screws.

In later years, long after these were made, it became popular to issue # sets for collectors. It was mostly a gimmick to make what was not collectable, now collectable. Case started the gimmick, and many other factories followed suite.
It's not rare at all to have a patron at a show, really get upset to find that his "Manufactured Collectible" Knife, is virtually worthless. LOL
Takes a little more than a number to make a Knife Collectable.
A good example of "Manufactured to be Collectable", is the knives advertised in Mag's as being "highly collectable" are the Franklin Mint Knives. They are virtually less than worthless. Nothing
more than a sales gimmick. The most valuable Knives, or most of anything else, were never made, nor sold as Collectable. They became so due to some merit of quality, desirability, rarity, (but still rrequires one or all of the others), or a place in history.
In Military knives, particularly ones that saw service during a major way, it add provenance, and traceability to an extent. Such possibly as to when it was made, issued, where served, and so forth.

Its for 2 of them. I know, because I lost one. It continues to back itself out, however. At least I have 1 more spare. If I lose another one, provape will hear from me. That is a weak point as far as I'm concerned. I don't change batteries, so this shouldn't be a problem.Yes. Provape has them for sale. 7.95 if I remember right. And it almost looked like that was EACH!

Thanks NY!!!Really nice work HB!
That's one of the reasons I won't be getting a Radius but will still be getting Jackie one for her Birthday and maybe another P3 for meWere not marriedAnd she already sold the Radius. She wasn't happy with it because it takes too long to fully charge a battery and she hated the thumb screws.
That's how you do it Zee... well done!seriously now, Lem ... there never was a girl with a Radius, now was there?![]()
Because I am a dumb@$$ is likely the answer to that. ;-) just where I keep my battery charger. Near the bathroom sink.
If the screws didn't come out of the base fully, it would be perfect IMO. I love the Radius, but that is the only design flaw IMO. Nitpicking, but these things ain't cheap!
Just to lighten the mood. Do I have the best hubby ever or WHAT?!![]()
What do they call the ones that take the bait?
Collateral damage![]()

Edit: this an obvious observation from the high road, please don't accost me.![]()
If this was a gathering IRL, Lem would just be "poking fun". On the internet he's a troll. Kinda funny when you think about it.
Yeah, or goes to a KISS Konvention or on a KISS Kruise wearing a Culture Club t-shirt and tells the KISS Army, "KISS sucks!"Lemmywinks is the guy who pulls up to a Subaru meet in a Mitsubishi and tells the whole congregation their cars suck.
