V19 is absolutely terrific. No issues whatsoever and some nice new functions, such as manual control over settings and a light when your battery is charging, which goes off when your battery is charged.

I updated to 19 and like the new features.
About the "network connection error" and maybe other errors when trying to update the firmware:
While experimenting with the firmware I saw the "Radius Programmer Software" establishes a secure connection to www . provapetools . com, (like when you access a secure web page: "https"), it implies the reception of a digital certificate, that in simple words, is used to encrypt the data between the server (provapetools) and the client (Radius Programmer).
Once the secure connection is established, the "Radius Programmer" software sign in the server with a user and password and reads the available firmware updates, etc. etc.
If there is "something" analyzing the connection, or between the two, as for example, a proxy server, there could be errors (as validation of the digital certificate) that would prevent the secure connection between the Radius Programmer and the Provape server (provapetools), ending with a "network connection" error.
As already was suggested, things you can try:
Try the update in another network, for example, at home, or on a public network.
Some companies implement what is known as "Transparent Proxy" (to save bandwidth), or other kind of network data analysis services (to prevent virues on the data transferred, for example), thant could cause problems when validating secure connections / digital certificates.
Ensure there is not a windows firewall rule that prevents the "Radius Programmer" software to connect to the Propave server (you can disable temporarily the windows firewall).
Ensure that your antivirus is not blocking the connection, some antivirus include sort of Internet security protection, you can disable temporarily the antivirus.
Use the supplied USB cable.

Random question to hijack this thread once again........Has anyone thought/came up with a custom/hacked firmware update?
I really doubt it and I also doubt that in a thread about the Radius, hosted by Provape anyone would admit they had even if they did. It would also be a sure way to void one's warranty on the Radius.
Fine, I'll bite. I know better than to start this, but I'll give it one reply.
Not sure I quite get what you're saying here. Sounds like you're saying people said ProVape would never go over 20W with the P3. That would be correct, because it could accept all 3 battery sizes, and more than 20W is not safe on an 18350. Now that they've made the Radius an 18650-only device, they can bump up the power. But, since it also has a user-serviceable battery, they have to limit the power for whatever battery the user might install. They've CYA'd by shipping the Radius with an appropriate battery.
Unless you've measured the output voltage, I highly doubt you're getting anywhere near a true 80W. My sxMini can be set as high as 75W with the latest firmware, but on a full charge, the diagonal line runs through the battery icon, letting me know it's limiting power due to the huge voltage drop. If your mod isn't protecting you from undervoltage/overcurrent, it's a disaster waiting to happen.
Assuming you're ONLY getting a 1V voltage drop, a battery with an idle voltage of 3.5V is dipping to 2.5V under load. Assuming a 96% device efficiency (which may be assuming too much for the mod you're using), you're actually drawing 33A from the battery. I would guess at 80W you're getting about a 1.2V drop, in which case you're now pulling 36A from your 30A battery, not to mention you're trusting it really can handle 30A because the wrapper says it can (unless you have reputable test results). Then you have to consider manufacturing tolerances, and whether the battery is a re-wrap, so the next one is a completely different battery with the same shrinkwrap.
Most people don't realize that in electronics design, you NEVER push any component anywhere near 100% of its rating, let alone beyond 100%. ProVape is using a safe, conservative 50% rating. Also, you have to take into consideration that as the battery ages, it's not capable of its full rating anymore.

Yeah, I'm sure it would void the warranty. Just curious if anyone has tried.
Sounds to me like the actual updates are stored server side at provape... But not sure about that at all since I haven't done an update yet to see.
Does anyone know if they are single updates or if they are cumulative? I.e. 19 includes 18,17,16, etc?
