Hi Knife,

I want to clear up your post because a lot of mis information was put out there in regards to how our product is built.

This supposed gas escape hole is not a gas hole at all and the hole is ok if it's filled with solder.

No drilling or modifications should be done to this part and it's certainly not someone getting lazy on the job or rushing, that's how the part is supposed to be made.

It's not a vent hole and it's not dangerous as you suggest.

Hopefully that helps clear up this post. :)

Hummmm--Well, mine isn't filled, nor are any of the many pic's I've seen of others. Nor is there any acid caused discoloration in any I've had the privilege to see.
If it is the way it is supposed to be, shouldn't there be more like it? Like in ALL of them? Just say'n. ;)

Knife

I corrected some info in my previous post...
  • The photo is actually from "Mud Day" 2011 in Nankin Mills Park, Westland Michigan
  • The girl in the photo is 11 years old; her name is Sydney Truba

Thanks for the research John. I didn'a know where the pic was from or who she is. I just uh, borrowed her from the interweb thingy!

yikes ... I've been of the 'net' for a week with being really-really sick. Took all day yesterday and this morning to catch up. I took delivery of a new Midnight Radius on Friday but haven't opened it yet. I waiting for this dang sickness to pass then I plan to open it and enjoy it.

But now ... I'm wondering if I order too soon ... what oh what could the new surprise be? Will it offset the joy of getting the Midnight?

I'll guess a new integrated 510/ring so atty's no longer get 'stuck in the mud' occasionally.

I'm sorry to hear you've been sick, but do hope you're feeling much better now!
