I'm disappointed that sides seem to have been chosen in an otherwise coherent little corner of the web.

I didn't comment throughout, but I suppose pehaps now is the time to offer an opinion coming from outside the core group.

I'm pretty new to this forum since I only recently became interested in (and bought a) Radius. But I'm not new to online discourse, having participated long before there was an internet as we know it today.

I understand the complaint and I also understand those who feel it was harmless fun. I was a bit taken aback at the pages and pages of nothingness, to be honest. I expect the Provari Chat forum to be full of fluff and comraderie and haven't been there more than once or twice. I should also note that I've seen AOL chat rooms, MySpace, and Facebook groups with much the same content that this thread seemed to turn to - and honestly, it's just not for me.

So, as others suggested, I simply sat back and watched the thread take its tangent. Honestly, when I'd go through three or four pages of stuff without finding any real content (even something as minor as a user's opinion) it was getting pretty tiresome. But I refuse to NOT read a Radius thread sponsored by its maker. There's just too much good information that could be missed.

So for me, the signal to noise ratio got totally out of hand. While the "teenage bunking party" comment was pretty brutal I can easily see where it came from.

I think the whole problem could have been avoided had the guessing game been in its own thread. But from what I've seen, I think the game was introduced in at least one other thread - and again, I think it diluted what the thread was ostensibly based on.

I've found that online friendships can become very real and very strong. But there's a significant possibility of the posters morphing into Our Group. Sometimes inside jokes are traded, outsiders don't feel part of the gang, and constructive criticism can be viewed as an attack on those close to you.

Neither party was wrong. Neither party should be attacked.

With the exception of ProVape and the mods, no one gets to mold the forum in just the way they want it. We all enjoy a particular product, and we should find a way to make sure that all different viewpoints get their chance.

So, coming from someone who's been readily accepted but isn't part of The Gang, please take my viewpoint in the spirit in which it was offered. I enjoy a lot of the back-and-forth among people who seem to know each other well, but I came here looking for more than just virtual bonding.

I have no idea why I felt compelled to type this much. And, again, I'm pretty new here so if I've totally misunderstood the chat room aspect I apologize in advance.

Dan
GG, Provape has in the past done product debuts where a teaser is posted, see here :Official ProVari Radius Thread
and even further back for the P3, see here: Official ProVari 3 Thread - P3, guessing games, teasers and tangents go way back even to the very first ProVari thread, in which the V1 ProVari variable voltage mod was realeased, talked about, even beta testers were chosen from thread participants. Nothing new here to this sub-forum. Reading through the original ProVari thread, the mood did seem a little more relaxed back then, except for the anticipation level of the folks eager to snap up their new shinies:lol: sun comes up, sun goes down, on and on and on....

So the game is over huh? well my next guess was going to be a real collaboration, between Zen (HOH) and provape, designing a mod. Sorry but I got nothing from the clues, but I thought it was entertaining.:|

Just to throw in a couple more pennies, some of the complaint may be less with the game itself, and more with the nature of the game. The thing about guessing games is, when someone makes a correct guess, they win and the game ends. With this one, the only answer anybody ever got was "I'm not tellin." That is incredibly frustrating, especially since you have no idea if anybody else is even remotely on the right track, or if everybody is wildly off base. It's a bit like playing 20 Questions with a 2 year old, and only getting "I dunno" for an answer. After two or three tries, you're not going to want to play anymore, and the game itself is going to become an irritant.

Just another perspective. Let's all have a nice, refreshing vape, shall we?

I hate to break it to you, but I think you'll find a "Part of The Gang" tattoo on your backside, if you check a mirror. It happened when you were drunk, y'see...

Never get drunk with the 'nati-folk when you're teetering the line of "acceptance".

Too late (unless you want a get a skin graft).

IMHO ... I don't think the person who was looking for a totally on topic thread here should be criticized...

IMHO, the poster of whom you speak could easily have conducted himself and stated his case without characterizing the room and all of its inhabitants as "unprofessional and childish...teenagers and retirees" (as opposed to busy, no-nonsense types such as himself that must "...attend to actual work" and "...actually have a life beyond vaping").

But no real harm done. We all have thick skins, and an Information-Only, Antisocial Room was even established to serve his specific needs.

How's that for customer service?

Yep ... I do agree w/ what you said ... his comments didn't have to go 'there'.

Well my first crack at a radius holster is done. It out of scrap leather and a prototype so I didn't bother trying to match thread or lacing color too much.

I have a few tweaks to make to the pattern to get it to fit just a bit better on the height but it's pretty much set. It's also gave me some inspiration for a sleeve and a holster for my P3 and even a combo p3/radius or radius/juice bottle design.

Any comments or ideas are welcome.

Wow really like that. Just my two cents but I like belt hooks that I don't have to take the belt off to get the holster off. Like the ones they put on the otter box. But I still love this and definitely could work with it.

The hooks are a good idea and I have a alteration in the design to use them but I can't get them locally. The back strap on this one uses snaps so you can put it on or take it off easily and has a high and low hang position options to choose from.

All I know is that I have a strange urge for pancakes which sucks as I am trying to stay off the carbs....
All I know is that I have a not so strange urge for mud wrestling gals which sucks as I am trying to stay clean.
And, Sir Rod, you did well. I do have it figured out, but now won't say.
