I've been to several of these things and I can't say they're good PR for the image of vaping. The atmosphere inside is so dense with vapor it's hard to see from one end of the rooms to the other, evoking smoke-choked bar interiors of old, and the average inhabitant has more tattoos and body-piercings than they have years of age. It's always disheartening to see the crowds that erupt into elbow-flying riots when free juice samples and t-shirts are thrown into the air, then vanish when CASAA takes the stage to implore them to get involved in resisting anti-vaping legislation

That's a sad commentary.

Thanks.. It's everything I expected and more.. Without a doubt a very high quality and well made device!

Very happy with the purchase and it makes me wonder what some of those so called 'expert' reviewers were thinking when they gave it poor reviews... It also makes me wonder how they ever became so called 'experts'.. LOL

The problem I saw in most of the reviews is they put the unit down for 5 things and they were and are clueless on all 5:

1. No temp control -- Odd considering the majority of vapers I know in real life don't use it or care about it.

2. 40W max -- Again odd.. Of the people I know personally who vape, most don't go over 40W. Some do sure and if they do then this is not a device for them.

3. Using the polycarb on the body -- I like it! Makes the device lightweight and it has good grip..

4. Price -- I am of the impression that you get what you pay for. Yes I can buy 5 Chinese crap made mods for the price of the Radius but my question is why would anyone want to?

5. Battery door -- They missed the whole point of it in my opinion. They praise mods that use lipo's which are non user removable or user replaceable yet they slam the Raduis.. CLUELESS! I think of the battery in the Radius as a lipo. Don't ever touch it for daily use. Instead of slamming the battery door configuration they should be praising it! Treat it as a non removable lipo but one that can be user replaced IF needed down the line. With a lipo you have send it to the manufacturer, pay some $$$ and wait.. With the Radius, I spend a whopping minute of time, replace the 18650 and then treat it as non removable...

I watched a lot of the YT reviews and just about everyone of them was negative for those reasons.

According to these so called 'experts' even though I don't care about temp control or going over 40W I should buy a cheap Chinese made DNA 200.. What the........F??????

The only decent review I saw was from pbusardo..

I've been wanting a carrier I can clip to my belt for my Radius. I have one from VapinArt for my P3 and really like it, so I just ordered this from them. They were at the Tampa Vape Convention last year, which is happening again next weekend, but they won't be here. PBusardo is coming. They've been touting that like he's the leader of the Vaping Universe. If I go, maybe I'll get a chance to meet him.

I sent my spare Radius out to Coffeebum this week so he could construct a base mold for the Kydex vape holsters he makes. Once that's done you can purchase one of the highest quality custom mod holders on the planet. He has space here on ECF with pics and pricing. They are amazing.

Not familiar with his products. Is there a website one can visit? I suspect for $19.95, the VapinArt holster will do what I need, but it's always nice to know about other options.

My biggest gripe about the gripes is the battery door. The Radius is a brilliant design for an integral battery mod. People gripe because it takes 20 seconds longer than non-integral designs so they complain. It's like complaining it takes two hours longer to drop an engine from a Boeing 777 than a Toro pushmower.

Both of my Radius have had the battery door off once, when new to put in a better AW 18650 3000 mAh battery and should'na need the door opened again for a loooong time.

Same with my Stealth. Switched the battery once and likely won't open the battery compartment again until the current battery needs to be replaced at the end of its lifespan. Emergency maybe as well.

My SX Mini is no different with regard to switching batteries. The SX and the Radius are by far the best 2 mods I own and I have no problems charging either of them via USB.

Is anyone using the LG 18650HG2 (3000 mAh) batteries with their Radius? Just curious if they provide a significant improvement in use time between charges, compared to the Samsung 25r.

I was wondering the same.. I might order one and try it out if no one has the answer..
