I just ordered some silicone rings (and stuff) from HoH. I'd looked at the rings on HoH before, but had thought silicone rings are what came on the Kabuki but I can't find a specification descriptor ... could be buna instead of silicone I guess.
Buna is standard with the tanks and the OMG rings are silicone IIRC....

I can't wait for my KF5 to show up this week and place it a top my Radius. Actually thinking I may need a second Radius...

I got a KF Mini V3 last week and had the same feeling as I did the first time I tried a Kabuki. It has outstanding flavor.

Since I'm very much a rookie builder, I was looking really close at the new KF5 since it has a lot more room to work in. But almost everything I've read mentioned that the increased airflow with this version was probably too much for a MTL vaper such as myself. I was just about to click the buy button when I decided to hold off until I see more reports.

I found a long time ago that just because a tank could be turned down to MTL airflow didn't mean it would produce a quality vape.

I'd be interested after you receive it for your opinion on it vs. a Kabuki.

I just had an email telling me that my Calix V2 (by Leo) with the P3 base has reached the US from Greece and is on its way to its new home, probably on one of my Radii as an alternative to my Kabukis - given the news, I wanted a quality rebuildable with good MTL characteristics and the Calix (I think) will give me what I want.

I have a Radius, Procyon and a P3 (currently at the mothership for software update) ... two P3 Kabuki's and a P3 Nautilus.

I can swap any given tank around the three Provari mods I have and the Radius will run that tank the best. I don't know why. Maybe it's all in my head, but there it is. The Radius is the better of the mods IMHO. I'm beginning to think that at the same wattage, the Radius has the better battery life of the three too, albeit slightly better.

Calix V2 received, cleaned and 28 gauge x 9 turns 1.7 Ohm open coil installed, and fitted with Japanese Cotton, filled with Provari FUEL Goldrush Tobacco, and vapes like a champion on my Radius at 10 Watts.

Weird thing is that it won't physically screw onto either of my P3 2.5s but works perfectly on either Radius.
The 2.5s are perfectly happy with Kabukis, so there may be some variation in the P3 specs as used by By Leo for the Calix, or between the 2.5 P3 modified top caps.

Anyone seen anything similar?

Try to loosen the build cup and then fit the base, and then fit the build cup. I have a P3 and a Radius but the center pins are a little different in heights, this works for me.

Here's a weird one....

I was using a Velocity dripper on my Snow Wolf at 35W and the batteries died. Figured I'd slap the Velocity on my Radius for S&G.

Wow. What a great vape at 35W. Actually MUCH more consistent than the Snow Wolf.

Weird?

not weird ... just normal

The base on one of my Kabuki's is a bit difficult to remove ... or at least get started to come off. I've always had to resort to the allen wrench on the set screw or in the air hole, to get the base started to come off.

TODAY, I realized I could use one of those rubber ring thingies that some folks use around glass tanks to help protect the glass. I don't use them but had one laying around that was tossed in vape mail as a freebie. The rubber ring thingie around the base works as a gripper !!! Cool

Wish the Kabuki base had knurled or ridged features though.
I have that problem with my Gus Phenomenon, some of the parts are just really hard to get unscrewed. Found these on Ebay and several places for about $5 and they work fantastic in getting a grip. Vape Tweezers:

I just got back from NYC on business and over beers last night with 2 of my System Engineers, I pulled out my stealth Radius/Black Kabuki.

They were both amazed at the mods and tank. Neither vape but have seen the Kangers, iSticks, eGos, etc. They both thought it was an amazingly well designed mod as well as the tank.

Thought it was funny as I have never had someone inspect my vape rig from an engineering perspective. :)

Edit: The Fairfield Marriott Penn Station hotel had no problem with me vaping in their lobby with a few folks while having drinks. Very vape friendly in my limited two day experience. :)

Hello,

I will be purchasing Jackie a Radius next month and am going to put a USB wall adapter out in the Jeep for when we are out of town. I already have a car lighter adapter out there for some reason.

Anyway, my question is: Is there a recommended amp output, i.e. 1 amp for those adapters or should any 'ol gas station adapter work?

Also, is there anywhere on the Radius I should apply NO-OX?

Thank you and have a great weekend. Please remember our fallen soldiers, it's not their fault our government sucks. We just need to make sure their sacrifices weren't in vain...
