She may still be at work. She'll respond to this thread as soon as she can or you can PM her.I appreciate the referral. Wouldn't mind finding a used one just to give a try. New Fed laws thinking it may be nice to have a rta in my arsenal just in case.
HeyaAnyone here using a SQuapeR on their radius? Have a pic? How does if vape and what is the set up? I am thinking about getting one but they look pretty big.
I second this! The Rs can't be beat with the w deck! The R is a little tall, but functions just the same. Depends on how important juice amount matters to you.Heya
I have the SQuape R(s) - the R's little brother - and it vapes fantastic. There is a very good clone by SXK if you want to give it a try before shelling out for an authentic. The new SQuape X I haven't used and find mixed feeling about it.
I love the "w" deck. Easy to build as the coil and wick lay in a groove and the liquid goes up the juice channels.
Pm incoming with a link![]()

Thanks for posting this. You saved me some $$$.The Squape X has been a horrible single-coil MTL tank for me. They apparently tried to make the X version service both cloud chasers and the MTL folk. As one would expect it, it went poorly for the MTL crowd. Turns out the deck in single coil mode and with the air flow restricted to MTL levels causes the the incoming air to hit the coil at the side. This has resulted in a very harsh vape for me (so harsh in fact I shelved the tank) . Additionally, had some flooding problems which I'm told is the result of having to ratchet the air flow down so far it's pulling in way to much juice.
I had a back and forth with Squape customer service and to paraphrase them they said "No worries! We have a new deck coming out in June that we will allow you to buy from us! It will make it the perfect MTL tank then!"
I was not amused.
And did I mention it doubles as a mace?

My first wick was on a Kanger Mini. I used the pre-installed coil. Wicked it. Lot of popping, but smooth vape. Maybe not enough wick? For a lot of reasons I never built coils. But with the FDA's freakshow I figured I needed to future proof as much as I could. After getting advice from Keith at Creme de Vapes, I bought a Kayfun Mini V3 and was blown away with how good it was. That's even after I wimped out and used prewound coils in it.
My first wick was on a Kanger Mini. I used the pre-installed coil. Wicked it. Lot of popping, but smooth vape. Maybe not enough wick?
Second try was the Svoe Mini 3. Wrapped my first coil using Steam Engine for reference. First round was bad, as I had not figured out the juice control. Re-wicked and found the sweet spot. I am on day three and quite happy.
28 ga Kanthal. 3 mm wrap. 7 wraps for a 1.5 coil. Two tries on the wicking, as I neglected to open up the juice holes on the Mini V3 the first time.In one of the few times in my life I got lucky as I got a great vape on the first try. Of course, I had watched a couple of videos so the wicking I did worked. What's really fun is the possibility that since I'm an absolute rookie so I may be able to improve in time. It's already right there with a Kabuki and maybe even a bit better. That's something that surprised me a lot.
Just curious as I am finally going to try my hand, but what was the combination you ended up with? I know the coil has to be really small but at this point I couldn't begin to say what wire, diameter, gauge, wraps, etc. I'd need. Once I get my feet wet I will definitely rely on Steam Engine.
Squape X is not good, from what they are saying. I can tell you that the squape R and Rs both vape well for mtl type vaping. So, for MTL to get a flavorful and not harsh vape: Squape is bad, but Mini 3 sounds good, right?
I've been content with my Kabuki's, but as with many folks, want to have a rebuildable just in case.
I got a Svoe 5 a few days ago, and so far it's harsh. I'll keep playing with the build, but not a winner yet.
Any other rebuildable, non-sub-ohm tanks anybody really happy with?
BTW: I also use Sophia's and think they're really nice. But, there is the issue of the nr-r-nr wire configuration, meaning buy a Zapper or a bunch of premade wires to rebuild the Sophia.
I just received a Squap Rs with a X on the way. Fastech clones. When I work my way through all the other RTA's I have bought in the last two weeks I will give a review. I am new to the genre. I love my Kabukis and have a good stash of Nuti coils, but I decided to branch out. So far I have built a Kanger Sub-Mini and an authentic Svoe Mini V3. Digging both of them. Many more in the drawer and so little time...Squape X is not good, from what they are saying. I can tell you that the squape R and Rs both vape well for mtl type vaping.
