If any of you don't want to spend $100-200 for a quality RTA that is stupidly easy to build on, look at the steam crave Aromamizer.

It is a great tank that IMO is as well made as my Kayfuns. They can be found on sale for $20-25. I love mine. The Velocity deck is by far the easiest to build on out of the 20+ RDA/RDAs I own.

Note: The Aromamizer is really meant for Subohming. I guess you could run it at 12-15w, but I find it is great at 30-40w with a 0.5-0.6ohm dual coil.

Something to think about for those of you wanting to stock up.:)

It sounds great.
But surely, surely, there must be an RTA that doesn't require a mortgage that works for higher ohm builds.
I'm looking but keep coming up empty handed. Either big bucks or subohm. Got a Kayfun 5, but it's not doing it for me. Gonna post it perhaps. Back to the Kabuki and Sophia.

The $69 KFL+ from Dash Vapes is very hard to beat.

That's Canadian, so $54USD.

That's what I will be stocking up on.

+1 on the KFL. Also a big fan of the 4 (which they are discontinuing) and the Mini V3. A week and a half in on the 5 and not loving it yet. It's gotten better for me, but it's running in last place for my Kayfun race.

This is the 2nd post I've read from someone saying they aren't liking the K5. What are the issues with it?

What don't you like about it?

This is the 2nd post I've read from someone saying they aren't liking the K5. What are the issues with it?

It's too airy. Certainly a subjective matter. There are folks saving that the first (most restrictive) setting is like a KFL, second setting like a 4S, and so on. I disagree. I find the KFL much tighter and the 4, and V3M, perfect with their adjustability. Word is that Svoemesto is coming out with a fix for those that aren't pleased. So after spending $100+ quid on this rig I will have to spend more in hopes that it will be more Kayfun like to me. Again, this is just my opinion and is certainly subjective as stated. I will hold on to it, begrudgingly purchase the "fix", and go from there. My hope was that it would just be a bigger version if the V3M. While there are some similarities as far as features it is very different. The V3M is my favorite Kayfun. While I would not try to dissuade folks from buying a 5 I would caution you that if you prefer a tight MYL draw that you may not be entirely happy.

I am sure that @qorax will be coming out with a very detailed review/video. The gentleman is certainly more eloquent than I. I would suggest keeping an eye out for that. Not to put him on the spot or anything...

I spent a good bit of time comparing the K5 to the KFL+.

My intial impression was that the K5 was indeed airier than a wide open screw-in KFL+. That was until I removed the drip tips.

They really are comparable when you tail-pipe them, and are affected by different drip tip diameters.

In any case, the SM MTL fix is eagerly awaited by many of us. It will make an already versatile RTA even more so.

An airy Kayfun would be right up my alley. Buuuuut being that every aspect of vaping is subjective, I don't quite understand SV coming out with a "fix".... That's like saying something is wrong with the K5 by design when there are a lot of people who much prefer an airier draw over a tight one.

Would they also come out with a fix for the K4 for those who don't like the restricted too tight draw?

They did... It was called the S Kit.

Of which they sold, according to rumor, 50% of V4 tanks produced. Thus the airier V5.

I agree on the airiness. Keeping in mind that my preferred set ups are Kabuki's and byLeo Sophia's, (and a Spheroid) not sub-ohming heavy hitting: I'm finding the 5 fairly harsh in the lungs and not any better in flavor than what I'm accustomed to. That said, I'm not done playing with it, but if I can't get it going better than this, it's going up for sale. Not going to wait and pay for any kit.

I am pretty sure them SM wanted to get this atty onto the market by a certain date. I think various impending regulations in different places across the globe forced their hand to a degree. That said, I also believe that they deliberately changed their target market with this atty "as is". My take is that they rushed the atty and knew they could drop a kit post release. We'll see what happens. I'll give it a bid and if no good up for sale it goes.

I run Boost at 1 and really have not noticed any significant impact to battery life. Otoh Im only running at 8 watts so battery life is never really an issue. I'll run my Kabuki out of juice before my LG 3k gets below 75%.
I havent used boost but I put a new battery (I forget which one but it was something members here recommended) and my battery life has been awesome at 9watts with my Kabuki. Lasts me pretty much all day.

My only wish is to have a top fill Kabuki

Solid build. Beautiful design. Feels perfect in the hand. Subtle and sophisticated. Perfect for a night on the town or an evening in your favorite chair on a Netflix binge. I have a pair. A menage a trois may be in the future. Always have backup...
I have black and ghost white Radius. Love them both. Thats actually what I do at night is grab one of them and fill up my Kabuki and relax to Netflix. This week its Star Trek DS9. I almost ordered a new DNA200 box but decided against it because it would end up collecting dust after about a week.
