I new to the Provari scene. I bought a 40 watt radius. I like it! I posted a pic in the pic of your setup thread. Someone asked me if it had come upgraded to the TC. I downloaded the Provari update program. It has 2 versions. Which is the latest?

Ver 26 is the latest update, the Coil Control (CC) is an optional item that you can install. I think you can put both on them, but I had problems with the update software and ended up sending my Radii back to Provape for them to do the upgrade. I don't plan to use CC, so I didn't even check to see if they put it on when I updated.

I have a snake skin radius with the black finish that I got as soon as the customized options for the Radius were offered. So far it has held up very well with no chipping, dings, or fading. I'm very pleased with it. Disclaimer: Being retired I've mainly used it while at home, I've only taken it out in the wild 3 or 4 times. Here's a pic taken on one occasion when I took it outa the house.

Looks great Mike, I'm wanting to pull the trigger on a snakeskin/stealth, and stealth kabuki, but the picture on the provari site looks like the snake skin is brownish overall on my monitor, in your picture the snake skin looks more like black and light color which would look much better than the brown, when you look at yours, would you say the light part of the skin is more brown or light?

Okay.

Group think time. Specifically...

Is there any reason, besides More is More!!!, for getting the 60W Radius over the 40W Radius, other than resale value, perhaps?

Do we think it would be more durable, or more reliable, in some way?

Also.

Do we know what the low wattage performance is like? Is it as accurate at lower Watts?

Are there performance specs available on the ProVape site that I may have missed?

I know I don't need, and will never need, 60W. My vape is going backwards, power-wise, in fact.

Just looking for info, opinion, or hearsay.

Thanks.

In my opinion as a tootle puffer...

I bought a 60W and plan to spend my reward points on another 60W even if I don't think I will need it. I already had three 40W, and after they were upgraded to Ver 26, can't tell any difference. I got the 60's just in case my Pico's died, or if I ever wanted to have the option down the road since I also added rebuildable stuff that could go sub-ohm if I wanted to do that. If not for the dooming, I might not have bothered with the extra for 60W, but I'm kind of "vape 'em if ya got 'em."

The Radii work very well for me with my Melo III at 20W/.5 ohm and my Triton Mini's at 8-12W with plus ohm factory coils.

I'm also curious about what benefits 60 watts gives over 40 watts. I'm playing with cc mode, and wonder if I'd get better results with that extra 20 watts. Other than that, I could get away with 20 watts!

I'd say definitely 60 for TC. Those are waaaaay lower resistances you're playing with.

I wonder if the SS builds between .7 and 1.0 ohms might actually work in cc mode with 60 watts--I can't get those to work at all, at any setting. I have a Goblin Mini v2 coming in at .5 that's working fine in cc, but a Clapton build at virtually the same resistance worked for maybe a day, then it just errors out in cc.

I think I'll spring for the extra wattage for the midnight blue in my cart. Good advice, thanks!

With these new laws does this mean if our provaris need repair they can't be sent in? Or can we no longer upgrade our 2.5 to the p3 thread? God I hope not cause I have been too broke to send in mine to update and I have a 2.5 that needs the window replaced.
