Decided to take the plunge and give the VOLT a try...
I went ahead and ordered 2 black batteries,a usb charger, a 5 pack of Ice Menthol 6mg, the Sweet Sampler 6mg, and 5 blanks.

I received the order today. Once one battery was charged I went ahead and gave the ice menthol a try... can I just say WOW! The flavor is amazing!! I can't wait to try the sample pack. These cartos are top-notch in design as well as performance. They are quiet and deliver a nice amount of vapor. I like them a lot better than my crackly, occasionally burnt tasting 510 cartos.

I am impressed with the auto battery as well. It doesn't take much of a pull to activate it and the draw is just right, not too airy and not too tight. It actually reminds me of the draw I used to get from analogs. I love the soft-touch finish on the black battery as well, feels very nice in the hand.

My eGo-Ts and Echo-Es now officially have some competition. The VOLT has definitely exceeded my expectations, and will be my preferred "grab-and-go" PVs. SI definitely has a winner with the VOLT!

Can anyone who has used a BOGE cartomizer tell me how the volt's cartos compare?

My Boge ohms at 3.0, my Volts close to 2.5. The filler in the Boges is thicker, Volts is thinner. Boges vertical coils, Volt horizontal.
Volts don't burn easily, refill easy, wick faster, and get a warmer vape.... all MHO.
Hope this helps :)

@natalia: Thank you! What are the disadvantages of having a vertical coil like the boge cartos?
I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the advantage of the horizontal coil is that the filler does not come into contact with it, preventing the filler from burning.

I agree, though I have to admit, I can burn them, but I can burn any carto if I chain vape. Volts take me much longer....LOL.
They also clean easier because of the looser filler.

+1

I've burned about half a dozen out of the maybe 50 that I've gone through, but the metal on my cartos are normally smoking hot from my chain vaping. I've also been able to burn the "supposedly" un-burnable gogo cartos as well.

Have either of you taken apart one of the cartos you thought was burnt to confirm? I'm curious. If they are, in fact, burning, I'd like to know exactly what is burning.

How does the VOLT compare to the Go-Go?

The Go-Go carts are huge, hold 3ml of juice, are the packed filler with vertical coil stuck inside, and have a proprietary thread design meaning you can't use them on anything else without an adaptor. The only adaptor they sell so far is Go-Go to 808 and they want $7 for it. The Go-Go's mouthpiece opening is large, for me it is uncomfortable to put that in my mouth, like the end of a magic marker.

Vaping a Go-Go is a very very airy draw, it actually produces an air-swishing sound when you vape. It produces a hefty amount of cool vapor and flavor, about like a LR Dual-coil cartomizer but cooler and is a bit wierd with that airy draw. You can fiddle with blocking the the air holes and regulate the draw a bit.

I did a review of it on my youtube channel if you'd like to take a look.

The Volt on the other hand is a standard sized KR808D carto but has the horizontal coil with a silica tube press-fit over it, this is why these carts aren't burny. The vertical silica tube then is wound with a loose sheet of porous material that feeds liquid through the tube and down to the coil. The draw on the Volt cartomizer is warm, not too stiff and not too loose, lots of vapor and flavor, about the same as a 510 tank mod.

I also did a review of the Go Go on my youtube channel as well if you'd like to see that.

I prefer the Volt over the Go Go.

I didn't take it apart, but if I am recalling correctly I did remove the filler and that was burnt on the bottom. I'm sure it's going to happen again, when it does I'll take it apart and post an update if anyone hasn't done so already.

ETA: and if it is only the bottom of the filler that is burning then it's a simple matter of trim and re-stuff in order to fix the problem.

I would agree with that. I switched from a Bloog to the Go Go, mostly because I was a newbie and couldn't figure out how to get a good drawl on the Bloog. About two weeks into the Go Go, I was back to the Bloog and now to the Volt. The Go Go is okay as a backup if all my other batts are dead, but it's not my go to. I might be an odd duck, but I hate the larger carto, I even have an adapter that will let me use the Go Go cartos on an 808 batt. The Go Go is also horizontal coil, and the larger mouthpiece doesn't bother me all that much, but I'd rather keep refilling my volt cartos. As I said before I hate dripping, so testing flavors in a 3ml carto is a HUGE pain. I'd rather keep a flavor around for mixing with something else if I don't like it on it's own and wasting 3ml seems a waste to figure that out. I've also filled a 3ml carto, only to burn it out, or find out it didn't work new out of the box, and now I'm out 3ml of juice I like instead of only 1ml of juice.
