What is everyone's thoughts on a clear color cover like on the mega? choice of grey/blue and purple? instead of it being all black like the current slider ? (as we had to loose the light up logo to make room for more battery power).... looks kinda boring all black now...

I can of course only speak for myself, but one of the reasons I went with what is refereed to as the "Mega PCC" (in blue) because it not only allowed me to carry Cartos but also see them easily through the light colored cover.

So while I have no idea what the new one looks like (have preview pics gone up somewhere that I missed?), I personally would order something which easily displays what I have in it and probably stay away from something I have to open or strain to inventory. From your statement, it sounds as this might be a fairly solid black box which might need be opened to see, and not likely something I would prefer

I have the blue mega. The design is good. My only qualm is that I wish the color wasn't so see through, but that's my preference.

But if I did I would love it to charge/hold more then one batt, not be transparent and fit in my pocket nice and slim.
Been looking but have yet to find the sleekness I want. The Brits have a nice 808 one but I'm not straying from my volts.....

@DebW - glad you like Peter Green's FM! One of those bands that unfortunately didn't get the status it maybe should have, and is now largely ignored because of fame the post-makeover group achieved.

And yeah, it really is sad about Barrett (love the early Floyd! Such a talent) But at the same time, if it hadn't happened, we wouldn't have Gilmour's PF either! (Ie, no DSotM, Animals or worse, Wish You Were Here - which is basically a tribute to Syd) Guess we need to chalk it up to destiny and the fact we are not aware of everyone's personally needed path.

How about having two options: one all black and the other a see-through. The grey/blue would be more suitable for everyone. Or if it's still cost effective, 3 options: all black and the two see-throughs that are available on the mega.

Ok so I am making a request. No one has asked me to make this request but I feel I must make it.

I love love love that everyone is participating in the volt pictures...and I will get one up for you guys soon as well (it's just been really busy here as we will be closed this weekend) so soon I promise. I encourage everyone to participate, but I ask that no one else encourage others to join in.... (good intentions or not ...it may feel like peer pressure) ... I know everyone here has nothing but the best intentions, but some people I am sure who participate in the thread may just like their anonymity and privacy the way it is.... and may feel bad or obligated that they did not join in... and I just don't want anyone to fell that way.

I like the black slider that I have (really classy-looking) - but I want to see what's in that puppy without having to open it - so I guess my vote goes to transparent.

I don't have one, but I've always drooled over them - so...
I think the black slider covers, with the peekaboo window, looks classier and more substantial, especially when they light up - a little James Bondish, like some smartphones. The clear covers kinda look like all the other stuff we get from China, when we need something cheap that would do the job. Side by side, just visually and without knowing how they work, the black slider look would appear to be giving me more for my money...but that's just me.

Oh, hehehe. Yeah, those are all 80-90s groups ranging from Rap/Rap-rock (RunDMC & BeastieBoys) to Alternative Rock/Grunge-Metal (Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, Tool & Nirvana).

I do have to say I am a tad surprised if you don't at least know something about the Beastie Boys and Nirvana though - both generally land on the "Top 100 Bands" lists when released by organizations like Rolling Stone. The two are heralded as having changed music forever, with the Beasties ushering in the "White guy Rap scene", Rap-Rock and a lot of Hip-Hops mainstream popularity in general, where Nirvana (and its lead singer, Kurt Cobain) basically brought about the "Seattle / Grunge" & mainstream Alternitive-Rock scenes overnight with the release of "Smells Like Teen Spirit"

Here are the songs (Anthems, really) which put the two groups on the world-wide super-star maps if you do have any interest what so ever on catching up on some stuff you apparently missed

- although Sabotage is a later-release that is really more in the style the Beasties are known for (and even if you dont like the song, its one fantastic video if you've ever loved watching 70s cop-dramas...)

Probably not be your thing, but it's also sometimes nice to hear what is widely recognized as ground breaking...

Falling in the gen x line (just barely) I tend to love it all. today's, The stuff I grew up on, and the better stuff Ie older.
Just as long as it's not country or rap, im good.
Truth be known the best music came before the 80's me thinks. Somewhere in there music lost the "art". IMO
