Truth be known the best music came before the 80's me thinks. Somewhere in there music lost the "art". IMO

Yep, and its called Disco...

Thats what I actually appricate about both Rap and Grunge though - both were gigantic steps towards the revival of art in music. And then it died once more

so I am holding the sample new PCC in my hands... gotta say its in function as pretty perfect a technology will allow at this point in time ;)

Just wondering about the styling ....

What is everyone's thoughts on a clear color cover like on the mega? choice of grey/blue and purple? instead of it being all black like the current slider ? (as we had to loose the light up logo to make room for more battery power).... looks kinda boring all black now...

First... YAY!!!!!

Second... I'm fine with a clear cover, maybe even prefer a see-thru one (maybe smokey rather than crystal clear tho?) The light up logo was cool, but I'm sure I'll adjust.

The pre-Nicks/pre-Buckingham Fleetwood Mac was "Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac" - someone BB King said (something like) "only guy who gives me cold sweats" about. Awesome guitar! More a Blues-Rock band though, in the style of the earliest of Blues-rock. He came from the John Mayall (and the Bluesbreakers) stable, and I am fairly confident that both McVie and Mic Fleetwood (the two which FM is named from) were there as well, with them all deserting from that band to start their own. (Could be wrong there though...)

Albatross is a really nice song. I liked another song from that era called Oh Well:
I can't help about the shape I'm in
I can't sing, I ain't pretty and my legs are thin
But don't ask me what I think of you
I might not give the answer that you want me to

Oh Well.

Um, yeah, guess it's not my thing. Guess I'm stuck in the 70's. :( I recognize Nirvana as once eminating from behind my daughter's bedroom door, and I liked some of it. Isn't it true that most of us really like what we grew up with the best?

That's a very true statement. My music is late 60s-70s. While I have enjoyed other more recent music along the way, I always end up with Classic Rock stations on the radio. Bands like Nirvana and Rush were my brother's (he is 8 yrs younger) and they never did a thing for me.

IMHO, if you have pink hair, the leopard Volt is the least of your worries.

hello everyone....really nice pics. y'all have put up :)
Got my carts and RY4 juice the begining of this week and have been vaping up a storm! I must say the carts work amazing and the RY4 is the taste I have been looking for since I started vaping, love it :) !!!!!!! Next would be Desert Joe, then 555, then Cowboy but that Freedom taste is just, ummm, blah, least to me :p

Imagine quick question please....is the photo deal open to everyone or only people that have more than a few posts in the Smokeless Image thread? The reason being is I don't want to come along, post a few posts, order some carts and juice and then throw up a pic and get something free, don't want people that have been here awhile to get mad at me :(.....but sure could use a Volt Battery, another piece to getting the full set :)
omg that is so cute, we don't get mad at each other here, and we love love love new Voltians and wish them all Voltastic vaping so welcome and let's see it!!!!

Oh, hehehe. Yeah, those are all 80-90s groups ranging from Rap/Rap-rock (RunDMC & BeastieBoys) to Alternative Rock/Grunge-Metal (Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, Tool & Nirvana).

I do have to say I am a tad surprised if you don't at least know something about the Beastie Boys and Nirvana though - both generally land on the "Top 100 Bands" lists when released by organizations like Rolling Stone. The two are heralded as having changed music forever, with the Beasties ushering in the "White guy Rap scene", Rap-Rock and a lot of Hip-Hops mainstream popularity in general, where Nirvana (and its lead singer, Kurt Cobain) basically brought about the "Seattle / Grunge" & mainstream Alternitive-Rock scenes overnight with the release of "Smells Like Teen Spirit"

Here are the songs (Anthems, really) which put the two groups on the world-wide super-star maps if you do have any interest what so ever on catching up on some stuff you apparently missed :)
Smells Like Teen Spirit
(You Gotta) Fight for your Right (To Party!)
- although Sabotage is a later-release that is really more in the style the Beasties are known for (and even if you dont like the song, its one fantastic video if you've ever loved watching 70s cop-dramas...)

Probably not be your thing, but it's also sometimes nice to hear what is widely recognized as ground breaking...

What about this, which has a rap sound? Faith No More - Epic - [Official video] - YouTube where does it fit in? I've always liked it, in spite of not liking rap or hip-hop in general.

I don't have one, but I've always drooled over them - so...
I think the black slider covers, with the peekaboo window, looks classier and more substantial, especially when they light up - a little James Bondish, like some smartphones. The clear covers kinda look like all the other stuff we get from China, when we need something cheap that would do the job. Side by side, just visually and without knowing how they work, the black slider look would appear to be giving me more for my money...but that's just me.

Y'know, when I demoed my volts to the teenager who took my pictures with Penny, he seemed very impressed when he saw the lights go on when I pressed the button on the slider. Maybe all the lights and bells and whistles are not as practical, but they impress newbies.

I like to think I'm still growing, so I want to keep liking new music. But I must say that I can't wrap my mind around rap/hip hop. I managed punk, and that seems to be as far as I can go. I think it's regrettable. I wish I could learn to like new music. I bet I could, if someone exposed me to a lot of it, and it was the best of what's out there. I think we don't stagnate about music as much as we don't get so exposed to the new stuff.

BTW, even though exposed to an appropriate extent, I never really liked Seattle grunge. It sounds depressing, like they are on ....... Something that turned me off to the Velvet underground, too, for the most part. There's something dreary sounding about it.
