Hi guys :)

I was saving this till we were restocked, but it was shared earlier (and the spelling was not 100% correct)...and a few of you have used/tried to use it.... so I figured I would post this here...it is active but will not be advertised on the forum until we are fully stocked :)

When you get those new colors in, I will be ordering! If I get a starter kit, I hope I can get options like some of the new colors and maybe one automatic and one pushbutton battery so I can try both and see which I like best. And I want a recharging carrying case, too. I think the middle-priced kit is what I've set my heart on. I know I want one battery to be black with a blue light/tip. I think that's the coolest look. Perhaps a blue one, too? I'm still mulling over my 2nd choice. I can't wait till you get all the new stuff so I can order! I have yet to even try an e-cigarette, and I'm getting more curious about it by the moment as I keep reading.

we weren't planning on it... and here was our reasoning...

* in the past manuals out performed autos on fast draw... this is no longer the case with the VOLT....the auto is almost instant....the only thing manuals are really needed for are dripping...and dripping is not really going to be needed on the 65mm because 1 carto fill will outlast the 65mm charge... hope that makes sense...

Most Vets are really resistant to autos ...because of past experience....but I promise our autos are a great surprise!! or your money back!! ;)

My first instinct was to go with an automatic, and yours sure sound like they'll do the job. But I was hoping to try a manual, too, just to see what i like best. Also, at some point, I may want to make my own juice, and that means dripping, right? So I'd need a manual? I wanted to see if I could learn to deal with a manual. So that's a reason to include one of each in a starter kit, I think. Just a newbie's way of thinking, and maybe the more experienced folks here know better than I do what I should start with. I wanted it simple to get started, then maybe up the ante a bit if I felt ready for more e-cig adventures. So maybe starting with the 2 autos would be best, and then get a manual later?

The manuals in the length they come in will be fine....they are not much longer than a 100's ciggie. Most shorty lovers prefer automatics for that length batt, so I can completely understand their reasoning for not having the shorty manuals....not to mention it's kinda a comfort factor as well.....the shorties really are a little short to include a button;)

I'm waiting for the manuals, here's why :) 1. I like to fill my own cartos and am afraid of liquid getting down into the batt and frying it on an auto 2. I like the control of a manual batt. I push a button and decide when 2 let off of it. 3. Manual batts are sealed so no worries about liquid getting inside 4. Control :vapor:

I'm all with you on this....I do usually prefer manuals, just not on the short batts......;)

One day they will figure out how to do an auto with a sealed batt.....have the breather holes somewhere else or what not;)

I'm only into this less than 2 weeks, but my approach is to by some empty cartos and sample juices from other vendors. I think there is a whole world of vendor's flavors to sample before I get to the DIY phase (if ever). I don't think "dripping" with a manual batt is absolutely required to try other juices. (IMHO, YMMV, and other TLA's...)

Hi SandySu and welcome! I just wanted to say that I just started vaping with my Volt on June 1st (I'm part of the reason the 65mm batteries are sold out) and the liquid thing was really easy. I bought a starter kit and a lot of blank cartos, they are even less expensive in quantity, and a bunch of samplers from different places with good reputations and just got started. It was easy with very little learning curve.

I think that's where I'll probably go, just like you. And, just like you, I want those black batteries, so I'll probably wait to order my starter kit. Meanwhile, I already ordered a few disposable 510s from another company, just to sample e-cigs before investing a lot of money, and I'm waiting for those to come. Never fear, I don't expect the quality I'll get from the Volt, but I think I'll be able to get the idea anyway, know whether vaping is for me or not. I bet it will be. Since I ordered those disposables, I decided the Volt is the best choice, and I go to the site periodically to try to decide what to buy, etc. Now I'm just waiting till the new shipment comes in so I have more choices! I wonder if I'll hold out or if I'll order from the existing stock sooner, just to get started. We shall see ...

I agree with everything jb said.
The biggest difference between other cartos and these is the design. V4L's are vertical and these are horizontal. To me, they taste just fine but don't vape as well -- feels airy or something. Those also have a better chance of burning because of the design, where these don't.
However, if there's a flavor you like there that isn't offered here you might try getting the juice instead and putting that into the Volt blank or used up prefilled carto.

I've tried lots of flavors and always come back to the tobacco ones. I like to eat a mango, I don't want to smoke one. :)

I'm not sure what I'll like, so I'll start with a Volt sampler of flavors prepackaged. I have a feeling i'll probably be mixing my own before long, but I'm not sure yet what the learning curve is. So, like SteelJan said, I should start simple. It's just that reading about all the options while waiting for my first puff is getting me all psyched up to try everything. I need to rein myself in for a bit, I think.

The one thing I haven't gotten an interest in yet is those giant e-cigs that someone somewhere said looked like pipe bombs. I chuckled at that. I knew just what he meant. If I want to use an e-cig in public, I want something discreet like the Volt.

Yay, the contest thread finally reached 500 posts :)

Star, that was ridiculous. I missed your posts but after all you've contributed over there it seems pretty uncalled for!

Yay! Congrats to whoever wins (hope it's me, hope it's me)

And thanks Beach :) I'll just bless SI with my awesome contributions instead.

Sandy, if you are thinking of someday making your own juice, it isn't so much just a manual that you want, but something that doesn't use a cartomizer. If you are mixing and tasting and mixing and tasting, you'd want to drip, but dripping is done onto the atomizer directly. As someone mentioned, you'd need to gut a carto to do that, or get a 3-piece setup.
However I think that's looking a bit too far ahead. If you are just now getting started, you might want to just go slow and simple. Start with an auto and a sampler pack of cartos and see what you like. Then get a manual and juice once you know the flavors that float your boat. And if you still want the fuss and muss of mixing and dripping, at least you wouldn't have spent too much experimenting and will be better prepared.
Just my humble opinion... :)

Iridescent would be really cool! I'd want that color, too. I wonder if it's even possible. I guess not with the rubber type of finish; it'd have to be shiny.

I dunno... my red one kinda has a glow to it and it's got the rubbery finish. I think it could be done. But I'll be patient. My birthday is in November, does that give you enough time to get those made? :)
