But would you think something like a low resistance cartomizer would allow you to take SHORTER vapes to get that same amount of vapor?
Really, it's kind of a balancing act. You want the coil to get hot enough to make vapor, and to get there quickly if possible. Higher voltage/lower resistance can do that, BUT at the risk of getting the coil
too hot, which can in the near term affect the taste and in the long term can result in either burning the filler or wick and/or in more "gunk" from burned juice on the coil itself, which affects taste and performance... To top it off, different mixes of PG/VG, flavors, and the quality and content of the base and flavors all factor in the end result, too.
It is beneficial to realize early on that given the completely different nature of the process, there is
currently no eCig/PV technology that is an
exact match to burning tobacco in a paper tube. What one must get used to when starting out is that, much as there are different techniques and results involved in smoking a cigarette vs. a cigar vs. a pipe, there is a different technique and result involved in vaping - and even that can change a bit between different types of atomizers, cartridges, tanks, cartomizers, e-liquids, etc.
So... yeah, it's different. But, ultimately better in more ways than one, so it really is worth getting used to and finding the right mix of gear and technique that works to keep you off the real cigs.
One of the great benefits for me is that I now get to find out what this Irish Cream e-liquid vapes like. So if you'll excuse me for a moment. ...
