I will probably do it - one for each of them. Three little ones, and times are tight. The only thing holding me back is they have no regular internet connection, so ordering supplies would be tricky for them. All it would take is a call to me, though.

Yes, SI should make a way for those w/o the Internet to be able to order. Couldn't they phone in an order and use a credit card? But how would they know what's available? A print catalog? Availability of the merchandise changes so often, and there are always so many new things, that a printed catalog would be outdated as soon as it came off the presses.

Nice Laura! I'd love to see SI come up with a multi charger for KR808 connections like those commonly available for the 510's. I had to buy a bunch of adapters to use mine for the Volts.

Hello, Everybody! :)

My husband texted me to say that a full moon rose over our east foothills and how cool it looked. It made me wish that I was with him, not clacking away at the keyboard. I'm writing up a detailed review of the Volt and plan to see it published and Twittered by Monday or Tuesday. Have to spread the word. ;) That's what I'm doing tonight before The Office comes on.

DM: Hope your remodeling and spring cleaning goes smoothly, quickly and cheaply. It's funny how once you make improvements to one room, the rest of the house looks like it could use a lot of work.

SamuraiiJill: Yes, we do need our own subforum . . . ASAP.

Nicnac: Welcome! :) I've been using the Volt going on four months and am still very happy with it.

Rave: I would love to see those gadgets moving about the house . . . especially if I had cats. :D

CarrieD: Those deguses are sooo cute!!!

Laura: Your USB port is one more thing to add to our SI wishlist. :2cool: Very nice!

Are those chinchillas? Those are cool super soft.

Thanks - they're degus, brought here from Chile originally for diabetes research. Not as big as a chinchilla - think giant gerbil. They'll get about the size of a large male rat when they're grown, and more the mannerisms of a ground squirrel. They really are super soft - sweet, curious, and very vocal, too. Sometimes they sound so much like my finches the birds sing back.

My excuse for being afk was my wonderful DL got a new old car and guess who got to do the repairs.....

That doesn't sound like much fun. My husband is in that same predicament, being the only mechanic in our immediate family. He spent a good 8 weeks rebuilding the engine for my son's new old car. It was a tough project for him.

Yay! It's so good to see some of the absentees!!

Our fall turned to white stuff for the first time this season. Either that or it was an unprecedented infestation of fluffy white bugs. Didn't much care for it either way. Suddenly - It's COLD.

I spent the day playing with my new bot Sylvester. Mittens (my old Scooba - a mopping bot) has apparently suffered from an electrical surge and refuses to be resuscitated. To replace poor ole zapped Mittens I got a Mint Plus for swiffering and mopping. The original Mint has a lot of faults, so I waited until they made a new, improved version - the Mint Plus. It was worth the wait. It's wonderful having robotic slaves to take care of work that is very difficult for me. And it makes me giggle.

Welcome Nicnac71 !! The Volt is my favorite of all the PV's I've tried too - and there have been a BUNCH of 'em.

Adorable degus CarrieD. They look so snuggly. :)

Thanks, Rave - they are sweethearts - I'm over the moon. :)

Sounds like you have your own new bonding going on? :D So cool that you can get the help you need - and a good giggle, too.

Imagine said they could phone in an order - and I think you're right about a catalog being outdated almost immediately. They do borrow a neighbor's laptop from time to time, and I can help with that as well.

Neat! I like the way they stand up, too, instead of laying flat. Frees up desk space I really need for all my other junk! :D
