This journey is different for everyone. I know some people just have to have that 1 smoke first thing in the morning, then rest of the day they vape. But even that is wonderful, 1 smoke a day isn't gonna kill anyone. And if that's the mindgame they need to play to succeed at vaping, then who are we to say it's wrong? If you give yourself permission, then there's no guilt and maybe some days you won't even need the 'allowed' ones.
I have been doing this for just a year, and even as recently as a month ago I just had to have a cigarette. It tasted terrible, but I don't regret doing it because it was a good reminder of how much better vaping is. Oddly I have never craved a smoke while around other smokers - been perfectly content with my Volt.

Just figure out the pattern that will work for you this week, then next month, etc. There is no right or wrong way to do this :)

I have 2 questions
How do I use my volt points, or is that feature not added yet?

Do you ever plan on setting a reference reward program? IE; you reference one friend, they use your personal code when submitting their order. You will then earn (X)-volt points per first time customer you bring to smokeless image. I've already got 2 of my friends smoking volts with me, and now getting a buddy I work with to also.

Anyways cheers, love my volt, and love desert joe!!

Hello, Zmerc. Glad you are here. Voltarians/Volteurs are really nice people.

OH
Thanks for the advice, Starsong! I'm waffling between 24 mg and 18 mg; I may even try mixing the two, but right now I'm experimenting with different flavors, just as you suggested.

I feel guilty because it has been beaten into my head that anything less than total abstinence from any nicotine product is failure. I'm so not used to hearing the kind of advice you just gave me.:)
I just want to let you know that you are doing GREAT! No need to feel guilty about still using nicotine, if you truly want to be nicotine free you will get there eventually but it is not a necessity. When you start feeling down about your progress think about how far you have come!
This is truly a great group of people and we all understand the frustration of trying to get away from the analogs we have all been there at one time or another.

I also wanted to say it's so nice to see so many new faces along with all the regulars! I may not post much but I do read this thread daily and it always lifts my spirits, I feel truly blessed to have meet such a wonderful group of people!

Yes you're right but being a noob I wanted white, now I have got over that, the white is quite boring and I did order a red and blue in the sale so I will probably just keep the white ones at home or maybe get some wraps.

I do hope you know I was joking about getting white . . .

It is a personal thing for me, while I like white "stuff", I know ME - I can Never Ever keep anything White clean enough . . .

AND - I know it is fraustrating right from the start, because No Matter what I do - use all the Bleach and Cleaners and Scubbers - there are the STAINS ! ! !

So unless there is absolutely NO OTHER CHOICE, I will atay away from White

Most of those were done in a program called Painter (corel), works just like real paint, but on the computer (no mess lol), and a Wacom tablet. The sea lions were originally done w/colored pencil but I re-did it in painter some years back.

As far as I am concerned - Painting using a computer program is not easy at all . . . And the work you showed us is quite interesting . . . I really like the Horses and especially the "Horse with the Sun rise/set back ground" and the Graphical work . . . Do you do anymore Art by hand without the computer - I'd really like to see that too if you do . . . Some really GOOD Pieces - Please keep it up :)

Wow! Great stuff! Now I'm green with envy. You certainly know better than me how to get those highlights and shadows just right. And I guess you must be another horse fan, right? I really like the Lipizzan. I like the ear of corn, Santeria, too. Certainly I can't offer any advice on how to improve, since mine's not as good, and you have already figured out stuff I'm still working through. What medium did you use?

I see you answered the medium question already. Drawing with my computer is way beyond me. How does that differ from drawing the old-fashioned way?

Once again - If I maybe be so bold to say - You have nothing to be "envious" about . . .

These are 2 different mediums and You Both are 2 Different Artist . . .

AND - They will differ in many ways, because of the medium and your abilities . . .

Both of you do very Good Art Pieces and neither should be evious of the other either . . .

Now just as a side note and an FYI:

I no longer do any painting or drawing (or crafts either) like I use to (was an Art Major in High School), however I have many friends that are Artist (many of them well known too) and I can tell You, from my perspective and experience, I know that the BEAUTY of Any Art Work - is not only in the EYE of the Beholder - it Comes Actually from the Heart and Soul of the Artist . . .

So while, I prefer most abstract art, I can and do appreciate many different Types of ART Work and actually have many original pieces in "My" home that were given to me by some very special people and very close friends. AND, Guess what - they are not all abstracts paintings either, each and everyone one of them I appreciate looking at every single day, because it came from THEM (and their inner beauty was brought to the piece). Matter of fact, I would rather get a piece of Art Work that I liked form an Artist - because they loved doing it and put their Heart & Soul into their work - then a piece of Art Work from an Artist that didn't care and just produce something because they were famous (Just like Picasso did in his later years - IMO).

Now of course this is just how I feel about it, you know - My opinion and :2c: . . .

I've been hanging around here off and on for the past four months now, but I haven't really said very much, and today I felt some thanks were in order. I haven't posted much for several reasons. Vaping was a big experiment for me, and I really didn't know where it would lead. I still have no idea what I'll be doing a year from now, but at least I feel comfortable with the vaping experience now.

Another reason I have been reticent to post is because I have had some negative experiences on other boards, and I didn't want to expose myself to any risk while I was still trying to figure out where my head was at. I have to say that I have pleasantly surprised by the cordiality and helpfulness of everyone here.

I have been trying to stop smoking analogs for years, but without much success. I have had some periods of months without smoking, but I always missed it and ended up going back to it each time. That's where I was at four months ago, so I decided I had nothing to lose by trying vaping. What's a few bucks, eh?

Well, for four months now I have been vaping, as well as smoking one or two analogs a day. I've found that I really enjoy vaping, although it doesn't completely replace my desire for an analog. Then again, vaping doesn't make me cough and wheeze like analogs, either, so that is a big plus. A couple weeks ago I decided to try vaping alone, so I haven't had an analog since then. I still have cravings for an analog, and I don't know if I can do without them completely. That is what I am struggling with right now. I still have feelings of guilt vaping, and smoking would just add to the guilt. Any thoughts on the subject would really be appreciated!

Anyway, I wanted to thank everyone here for being so friendly, and I want to thank SI for making such a wonderful product. Unlike most of you, I don't have much experience with other products, and it sounds like I have been most fortunate to have stumbled onto the Volt as my first PV.

Happy vaping!:)

First - "Welcome" to the "World of VOLT" . . .

AND if you be Sir or MS . . . If you only knew - then again you would have to go all the way back to the beginning of the thread like I did), but let me just tell you that you came to the right place . . .

But I hear you LOUD & CLEAR . . . Now just for a little support from someone that also knows what YOU are going though . . Hey - don't get "hung-up" about not totally quitting analogs yet - YOU WILL . . . Just like I know I WILL . . . I'm not there yet either and NO ONE and I MEAN NO ONE has come down on me at all for not reaching that goal . . .

Everyone here in this thread (even those that get frustrated with "Me' at times) are always supportive and are there for me (and everyone else too), especially when I need some encouragement (and not just about Vaping) . . . I know that although I am not "vaping" full-time, I will eventually I will get to where I NEED to be . . .

Now if I had some of My "Fluff" ready at hand, I would even emphasize the ease at which everyone will eventually Welcome YOU with open arms as they did me . . . :D

So pull up to Your Computer, Open ECF and the SI Thread and get ready for some FUN ! ! ! ;)

I thought you said the soft rubber drip type tips were in Imagine. Either I can't find them (highly possible) or I misunderstood. (Also highly possible. Not ageing gracefully.)

OH - No truer words were ever spoken about ageing ;)

LOLOL.... I laugh because I understand that!

So did - I . . . :D
