Good morning all
I have read through many of the 1659 pages but not all of them. It seems like most people start with their pv and totally give up smoking on day 1. Is this correct?
I smoked for 45 plus years, at least a PAD it more like 25 a day and even though I am loving the Volt I still feel the need for 2-3 smokes a day. I have been using the Volt since January 13thnand still can't say "I quit smoking" and it's very frustrating. Did anyone else slowly wean off this way or am I the only oddball in the mix?
Appreciate opinions and suggestions, I am using 24mg..I have some 18mg but they are not cutting it accept for the menthol burst on occasion.
Thanks for your help
Overwhelmed
Meant to reply to this earlier but had been away from the thread a few days and some of these important ones get lost in the shuffle.
Also, the many fab pple here give..and already gave such great advice!
My

...I'm still smoking, prolly around 35 years now...and I KNOW (currently) it's largely because I can Currently do so in a nice warm house. I was better at vaping when I was living in my car and had to go inside various places ( library, movie theaters, friends houses, etc) to get out of the weather. Or staying w/family over the holidays.
My reason for going digital was I hated going outside to smoke...hated the pple who made me do so and hated the prejudice around smoking in general...(I'm VERY stubborn).
Although I found ECF, it DID take me awhile to find this thread...and the sheer number of posts was daunting! I did manage to read all of it though, some knowledge retained, some lost in the shuffle, but found the pple here to be incredibly supportive and knowledgeable.
Not to mention, the SI Equipment is absolutely fabulous!
There IS an element of willpower to switching from analog to digital, though sometimes other things factor in. I'd mainly been doing 18 to 26 nic..higher in the AM, lower (18mg) as the day went on (or if I'd had a glass of wine or 2). Recently I ordered a 30mg and a couple 32 to switch in (though the 32s are "Extracted, or Macerated" blends). Hoping the extra nic will give me that extra boost.
I used to, and still do smoke American Spirit Yellow (lite) which come in at 12 mg. But after much research on e-cig, found out that you get less nic from e-cig than you do from smoking analogs.
Hit me like a fist at first! When I first tried digital, I had ordered the Blu Kit at 12 mg nic (WAY more expensive than a similar volt BTW)...soon as I got it and took a hit, I wanted to run outside and get a "Real Cig" LOL!.
I Immediately ordered the higher nic carts and started researching...
I went from 1 and 1/2 packs a day of Amer Spirit (30 Cigs), to maybe 4 to 5 a day.
Then I found a place to live that allowed smoking. Hmm. Been smoking analogs more.
Hence, the willpower thing
