You think there is any way to resurrect a volt battery after it's gone through the wash? I'm about to find out. :p

Don't put it in the microwave. :)

Maybe try the bowl of rice thing. Or find some of those silicone packets that come in leather goods. Just don't try to use it or it will short.

Do the "bowl of rice" thing with it for 24 hours before trying to use or charge it. There's definitely a good chance it'll work provided that the agitation didn't break anything. I've intentionally soaked part of a battery before to spin nicquid out of it and it's still working.

Thanks Star, I forgot I was saving those silicone packets for just this occasion. I'll give it a try, maybe tuck THEM in a bowl of rice with the battery.

I have one of those top load HE models that creates next to no agitation, so fingers crossed. Thanks!

Holy Cow!!! I just got a call from Smokeless Image telling me that they are out of the blanks, and would I like to cancel the order or wait until Wednesday for them to ship! MY GOD, they even CALL YOU on a SATURDAY. What won't they do in the name of good customer service?!?

wow....just, wow! My grandma always told me that if something seems too good to be true, it probably is. But we may have found the exception!

That IS amazing customer service!!

MustangSallie - One thing I always used to do if I got fluid in an auto batt is to twist the corner of a paper towel and gently poke it in there to soak up as much as possible. I've even left them overnight with the paper towel corner in there and the battery propped up to let gravity give a hand. Speeds up the drying a bit.

but...but...I'm used to vendors that don't TELL YOU they're out of stock until they've already shipped your order....or who don't even answer their phones during the week during working hours.....
and you guys actually called a customer on a Saturday to work it out????? My whole concept of reality is shifting....I'm getting a little light-headed....oops maybe uncrossing my toes will help that

Try putting it in whit rice....has saved my cell phone and camera before. Currently trying it on some cartos!

Just be sure it is not instant, and you should use the long grain white rice.....usually found in with the asian foods....you don't want the rice dust or small particles of the rice to get down into the batt;)
