Kinda Bummed...

Stalking the mailman paid off a little. LOL The same day I ordered my Volt Kit I also ordered drip tips/mouth pieces from Good prophets and 6 flavors from ECBlends. I received the liquids and tips today. I was so excited. I went to check my volt and it is still "processing". *sigh* Oh well, I guess I will be testing filling methods and tastes on my Cig2O tonight. lol I guess that is even possible...?? hmmm Dang.... wish I was at home now.)

Hey guys! I haven't tried any SI flavors yet so I'm going to take the plunge and buy one of each of the three pre-filled cartomizer packs today! I have a question! Which nicotine level do you guys think I should buy? I vape 15 and 12 is too low, and 18 is too high! Also, do you have to let the cartos sit for a while and "steep" or do you vape them right away? Any advice is appreciated! :D

Wow. When did you order? If more than a couple of days I think I'd be on the phone to them.

I'd go to high rather than too low. You can always cut back on vaping if you feel you're getting too much. None of SI's juices or cartos need steeping. Enjoy right outa the mailbox. The only time I would let them set is if you filled new empties. Then only about an hour.

A few pages back somebody posted about not opening their packages when they first get them??? That's sure more willpower than I've got. I usually leave the wrapping at the Post Office and have been known to vape my newies on the way home lol.

Thank you for the advice! I agree to go higher rather than too low in the sample packs because if it's too low I may not even enjoy the carto and wouldn't be giving the flavor a true try! And you're right I can always cut back on the vaping if I feel it's giving me too much nicotine. That's so great that the cartos and juices don't need steeping! Some juices absolutely need steeping to taste good! I may wait on the cartos because I already bought a month's worth of blank cartos from SI but I'm still undecided! We'll see!!! That is so funny that you usually leave the the wrapping at the post office and may vape your new stuff on the way home!!!

Just a quick question, does anyone know if a full carto will last as long as a short battery? I always keep my cartos topped up throughout the day but I was wondering if I take a fully charged battery and a full volt carto to work would it be ok to vape the same carto until the battery runs out or will it damage the carto doing it this way? If it will last then I could just top up the carto and charge the battery when I get home instead of having to take extra cartos out with me.
I wouldn't want to do this if it will shorten the life of my cartos though.

I watched the 9/11 attack live on tv, have read articles, watched videos and looked at pictures, but this is the first time I saw anything about the boatlift. Thanks so much for sharing this. It was moving and uplifting. I was so proud of those men who went where they were needed and did what had to be done, without knowing if they were putting themselves in danger. I bookmarked it to watch again and to share with others.

No kidding, Marlou!!! That's almost EXACTLY what I was thinking... "How, in all the stuff I've watched, listened to and read, have I NEVER heard about this incredible story???" I was so moved by the video, Proudlion. Thank you for sharing the word of these unsung heroes. I will follow your lead.

Hey ya'll!! I've got LOTS of catch-up to do, but thought I'd give you a Rob update, while I'm going through the pages and pages of posts I've missed. :)

Can I just tell you... My husband is SO odd. In trying to open him up to the idea of "other" flavors, he was pretty steadfast. He's been a menthol smoker since the dawn of time, he wanted menthol vape. OK, so I hunted for the right menthol vape. He didn't like any of the ones he tried prior to the Volt purchase. Finally found Ice Menthol - which he's been vaping since - He likes it, but turned his nose up at Menthol Burst. Whatever - to each his own. I told him all the advice that friends here on ECF have given me about not closing his mind to all the cool (non-cig) flavors, but he wouldn't budge. Then, my niece, who had been inspired by our vapor journey, gave him a coffee carto to try. He loved it!! That opened his eyes to the idea of finding a "Grampa's pipe" tobacco juice. You will remember my dutiful search from a couple of weeks ago... In the meantime, I got a bunch of juices in sample sizes for him to try - but I stayed away from the dreaded sweet stuff (especially FRUIT! Eeeeeeek!), which he swore would be a waste of funds. When I realized I had to steep all the juice samples for a month, I quick like a bunny ordered a bunch of SI cartos and some Ice Menthol liquid to stave him off until he could start taste testing. I also, on a whim, ordered a set of Sweet Sampler prefilled cartos from SI, knowing he would make faces and refuse to even try them. Lonnnnng story short, guess what I'm ordering, as soon as possible????

VANILLA - "OMG, this tastes GREAT, what IS it???" later... "I could vape this vanilla all day, every day."
CHOCOLATE - "OK, YUM. I like this a bunch, order more."
CHERRY - ::: puff, bigger puff, really long pull ::: "I can't believe I'm saying this, but I really like the cherry, order more of these three."

Of the Grape and the Watermelon, he said "Doesn't do a thing for me," but three out of five ain't bad!!! Yay! This discovery will get him totally off analogs, I KNOW IT!!! Wooooooooooo Hoooooooooooooooooooo!!!

:vapor::toast::D:p:laugh::vapor::toast::D:p:laugh:

Barb - This is so exciting to me! I'm so glad that things are progressing so well and that he's seeing that there are so many other flavors that taste good to him. Please keep the updates coming!

Have been ghosting this thread since I signed up here...still building up my anticipation until I can finally place my order - which should hopefully be tonight.

As someone coming directly from analogs (unfortunately hit a proverbial bump in the road lately and had to buy a pack :( I feel so dirty)...any specific flavors and/or sampler packs you guys would recommend to me?

I know flavors are totally by preference, but just wondering what would be the best move for someone of such a high n00b level.

I'm with Laura on this: Try one of each of the sampler packs. In my entire life I've never like anything watermelon flavored until I tried SI's Watermelon. Also - The RY4 is one that I never liked from any other company. Truth be told, I didn't like it much from SI's until after a dozen puffs or so. Now I wouldn't want to ever be without it. Both of the grapes surprised me as well because I'd never liked anyone else's grape (and I'm a HUGE grape fan!). You just never know what's gonna trip your trigger.

Definitely worth a try, I am going to order the smooth sampler for my husband soon, he is trying to quit cigs but he's having trouble finding a flavour he likes. He wants it to taste as similar to the real thing as possible.

Hi Holly - I am sooooooooo glad he's trying to quit! Yipee!! I am currently going through this exact thing with my hubby. It seems to me, that if they are constantly comparing the taste to cigs, they will probably ALWAYS come up short. Juice can never really ever taste like cigs, because there's nothing burning! Ya know?? LOL :D

I think a few folks have found a semi-close substitute, but many seem to fall flat until they realize that what they probably need is a flavor that they love that is nothing like cigs, so they are not comparing. I guess everyone has to make their own way, one way or the other, but my hubby is even starting to like flavors that he swore he would hate before actually trying them. Go figure... Just my .02 cents... :2c:
