This has probably been asked 1000 times already, but I'm not going to read 178 pages to try and find the answer, lol. On the smokeless image website you can get a discount for buying 10 packs of cartos, but why don't they let you mix and match? It seems you have to buy 10 of the same thing or you don't get the discount. Is that a site glitch, or do I need to buy 10 of each flavors and nic strengths? It's irritating me because I'm ordering for myself and my husband, but we don't vape the same thing

Hi Katie,

It is a limitation of our website software...if you call us we can give you the discount on a phone order....

Here, there, everywhere!
Well still loving my 808's and wanting to order some RY4, a yellow bat, a turquoise bat but really don't NEED any of it right now and I am wanting to wait and see what this new and only supplier carrying thing is so I can order all at once. But I don't NEED ANYTHING right - I really don't. RIGHT??

SandySu, if you are filling your own cartos, you should blow on them to get the excess juice out before you screw them onto an auto battery. That way no juice will get into the opening in the top of the battery. If you have a manual, it's not as important, but you might get extra gurgling while that extra drop of juice burns off.

I blow through the mouth side first over a paper towel until no more juice drips out, then wipe the bottom of the battery side then blow on the battery side in case there is a tiny drop left there. I'll also place a piece of paper towel over the battery end and screw it onto my battery to get all the excess juice out of the threads both on the carto and the battery, then unscrew, remove the paper towel and screw the carto back on the battery.

But if you didn't overfill the carto, this isn't a problem. I don't get hissing when I overfill, I get gurgling and little or no vapor.

Thanks for the explanation. I have the small batteries and prefilled cartos. It's a hiss like there's an air leak, as if the connection isn't tight. It happens w/ both batteries. I guess I should try a different carto and see if it's the carto, huh? Anyone else have this happen?

There is a hiss when you suck on them.......you need the airflow to get the vapor production;)....the other hiss you will hear is from the atty...basically cookin the joose;) it's more of a sizzle like when you drop water onto a hot stove or grill:laugh:

OK, as long as it's normal. I was confused because the disposables I bought before the Volt didn't hiss like that.

I first bought my Volt with the 5-Volt Passthrough they originally sold. Keep in mind I've been using V4L's 5-Volt Passthrough with their ClearCarts for over a year. In the meantime, I've been keeping an eye on Bloog. I even started an order to try some of their cartos. When I got to the point of the ordering process and found out how much the shipping was, I thought - Now, that's just crazy! So I didn't finish putting an order through. I even wrote to them and told them what I thought about their shipping costs. I was polite, but I never heard back from them.

Then I started seeing Volt ads. So I bought some Volt supplies. Since the Volt cartos are so different from V4L's, the hit was just way too hard at 5 volts. I couldn't even taste the flavor. I talked to Rob about my problem and next thing you know, they have a very well made 3.6 volt Passthrough that works perfectly with the Volt cartos!

I exchanged the 5 volt Passthrough for the 3.6 volt one and have been giving it a good workout for over 5 days now. I probably refilled the same carto about 40 times too. I just now noticed it wasn't giving very good flavor anymore and it was time to open a new one, but it seems to work just fine otherwise. Maybe I'll even try washing it, in the name of science, but don't hold your breath. :p I hate cleaning just about anything. I do clean my batteries and passthroughs once in a while though.

I have been "vaping" for over three years and I still have not been convinced enough to buy a Mod. I really don't see what the big deal is about high voltage batts - especially since we now have lower ohm cartos. I really can't tell the difference between a high resistance carto at 5 volts and a low resistance carto at 3.4 - 4 volts. I am one of the few "oldies" who don't drip, but prefer cartomizers. When I'm at home, I almost always use a Passthrough - like a pacifier. I don't plug it into my computer though. I don't want to chance frying my laptop. I use a USB wall plug, rated at 5 Volts, 2000 mA.

So, I feel very confident in recommending Volt to any smoker or vaper. And I'm especially happy with the Passthrough!

I really like to have a backup at all times, so I'm patiently waiting for the blank cartos to arrive so I can order another Passthrough along with them. As far as I know, Volt is the only company who makes a very well-made 3.6ish Passthrough without messing around with an inline battery. I am most impressed!

Thank you Volt!

I'm gearing up to to a video review of the new Volt 3.6V passthrough. I find it hotter than the batteries, making my Volt cartos taste a bit scorched. Not sure what's happening that it's doing that yet, need to collect more data to find out.

Won't be for a few days though, having some minor surgery today, will be out of commission for a couple of days. Taking my 78mm red battery and an Ice Menthol cart with me into surgery prep.... til they make me put it away, LOL!!! Send me some good vaping vibes please. :)

Like said earlier, when that happens with mine, I unscrew the cartomizer, wipe the threads of it and the battery with a tissue and screw it back on. If it's still doing it, I take the carto back off again and hold my battery under a light, and look at the outside of the threads at the tiny air holes on each side, near the bottom of the threads. I've got a toothpick whittled down way tiny enough to go into those air holes, so I stick that in and twirl it on each hole, to make sure they're good and clean.

I'm finding that after a few weeks, grunge sort of partially clogs those air holes, changing the draw or making it sound whooshy. I ought to make a video on this, caring for Volt batteries.... putting it on my To Do list right now.
