OK, I don't believe anyone has asked this yet: What's your color-coding system for the new colored tips and flavors? I've still got some white tips I've saved, so along with the clear tip stash that's seven colors. I'm thinking:

Red: tobacco (or related)
Blue: Berries (duh)
Yellow: Other Fruity
Orange: Sodas (drink flavors in general)
Clear: Sweets (desserts)
Green: Lime
White: Coconut

How about the rest of you?

"The Condom Method" is really only a safe, effective way for manual battery users. Even if you take all precautions by blowing the excess out, clearing the carto hole, etc. - There are still unforseen circumstances that can kill an auto battery that is over-filled by using the condom method. I lost an auto batt one time by dropping the PV. The shock of the drop sent excess into the batt. Even the extreme heat of a summer day can change the viscosity of e-liquid and make it leak into the battery. I've learned to play it safe by vaping for awhile - adding a few drops - vape - add. I never take it to maximum capacity when filling a carto that it to be used on an auto battery.

Hey - No Problem at all . . As they say here on ECF - "What works for one - may not work for another" . . .

AND, even as a "newbie," I definitely have no issue with your choice of Method to Filling a Cartomizer - nor would I ever have the audacity to infer any misgivings to Your expertise . . . More Importantly, would I ever want to start any type or form of a "War" of words what is better or not . . .

However, I have just filled 10 New Cartomizers in less than 10 mins - with virtually no loss of "juice" (unless you think less than a drop per "carto" is losing "Juice") . . . And, I now have them sitting in a tray - ready and waiting to be used . . .

TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE!!!! Sorry...I know it is easy, but it is also very dangerous for your auto batts.....no prob for his OMEGA as it doesn't have an air hole in the batt for the juice to leak into. I have done this method early in my vaping cartos...and it does actually waste some juice....there is a little left in the condom, and he failed to mention that you have to wipe the connection end of the carto...there is juice there too....and in the airhole in the carto.....safest way to refill is with a syringe...next to that is to just drip into the top avoiding the center airhole......many who condom fill blow out the carto to clear the air hole....well, there is even more wasted juice.....Just my :2c:.....I cringe when I see peeps using this method ESPECIALLY when they use auto batts.

edit....here is a link to some great 808 vids....now granted, these are different vendors products, but the cleaning, maintaining, and filling are universal to the kr808 world;)

Oh Uncle...I meant no offense.....and as Rave pointed out, it is just very dangerous for auto batts......and as for the loss of juice...it is all relative really.....if you think about a 30 ml bottle.....each carto holds approx 1ml of juice...which is approx 20-30 drops depending on the dropper....so if using a method with no waste you would get about 30 cartos filled outta a bottle of juice...now if losing 1 drop per fill.....you would be losing 1 carto full of juice per 30ml bottle.

As I said....I meant no offense, but it is only fair to throw out all the negatives associated.....and I would hate for someone to use this method and get all bent outta shape over losing a batt without realizing the probable cause.....I have seen it happen where that method was suggested, batt was lost, and that person directly blamed the one who suggested that fill method....fair?...nope, but we all know how some people can be;)

Well - I use drip tips as color markers although I don't drip into cartos on auto batts.

Purple - Grape!
Red - Strawberry
Copper - Sweet Carolina
Yellow - Vanilla Custard
Green - Lemon/Lime
Blue - Blueberry
Gold Metallic - Pear
Black - Honeydew
Brown Marble - Coffee or Chocolate or Cola
Silver Metallic - Watermelon

BTW, I do let mine sit for awhile - that is after a take a very smaill piece of paper towel/ q-tip to run around the inside of the connector (the part that attaches to the battery on before I use them on either the Manual & Auto) - that is mentioned in the instruction and as i've read and seen in videos too . . . Also, there is a "spinning" method (I forget what it is called right now) to help with filling the "cartos" this way and so you do not over fill (BTW, it is mentioned in the "lolady" thread) . . .

Anyway, all I was trying to do was provide some information that I thought/believed others may find interesting or want to try . . .

Okay, i'm done  . . .

Just a thought, my opinion, and my :2c: . . .

Manual batteries RULE!!! :headbang:
...but don't get complacent with those. You can wreck them too.
I use the condom/top-fill method, but I use the condom with the .... plug in it, to minimize filling in the center stem...and I never fill to max...then I put the cap and a buttplug condom on the battery end, taryn spin a bit, blow out gently, then wipe down the post...And this, my friends, is why I only fill at home!

...scared of needles. So much so that I dropped out of nursing school. I don't care how blunt the needles are. Can't even look at them.

By our very own....VAPIAN

While I don't think this will be for me for filling cartos - it will be for me to clean my cartos, instead of juice - HOT water:) Thanks Vapian - now anyone have a luere lock syringe or know where I can get one:)

First - No Offense Taken - AND More Importantly - HUGH BIG HUGS BACK AT YA ! ! ! !

(Wish I knew how to actually get those dam big "emoticons" to work here)

AND - You're right and make some fine points . . .More Importantly - being informed about all the possibilties is much better than not being informed at all . . . The Good and The Bad . . . And someone could mess-up, especially if they didn't follow the directions . . .

Matter of fact, I would even "HATE" losing any of my "Juice" - especially since they cost to much when you're on a very strict and limited budget . . . However, and this is not to belabor the point, when using the "Condom Method" I only see that the "carto" is wet - there is not any "Juice" left over . . . And when I blow it out nothing comes out of the hole . . . Maybe, that's because I don't fill the "Condom" all the way - only half full then repeat the process after I take it on a "spin" . . . I Don't Know - it's just been working for me . . .

HEY - WE'RE still "Vapors" . . . Sharing information and "Our" Own "Humble" Opinions - AND Having FUN! ! ! ! :D

Rave....are you familiar with the little beads that craft stores sell for jewelry and such? Well, some (from Darice I believe) come in plastic tubes with a threaded cap....the cap also has a hanger of sorts that a string or lanyard can be attached too....anyway, that is what I use to taryn spin....drop the carto in the plastic tube...screw on the cap, and your good to go with no fly away cartos:laugh:

okay....for the condom fill method....Leaford changed how he did his condom fills....instead of putting the connector end into the carto, he takes the cap off and pushes that end and when he sees juice just start to bubble outta the batt connector end, he pulls it out.....at least that way there is no cleaning the connector and trying to get into the little nooks there.

cindycated....many have your affliction towards syringes;) I tend to use them to fill when I have a lot of carts to be filled cause I hate having to rinse them between flavors.....typically I am doing a top off of the carto I am using so I use the drip and spin. My hubby was the same way with needles for a long time till he HAD to overcome it...we have a cat that is diabetic...needs a shot twice a day.

that was my thought too with that one....the flushing will be much easier with this than the turkey baster;) Oh...you can get lure lock syringes from either a pharmacy, or any farm and fleet type of store. I think (not positive on this) there are Tractor Supply Company's (TSC) in Missouri...that is where I get mine.

Uncle...the big smilies....they are found online....some are saved into photobucket (or some other online photo storage) and some can be saved into your comp....if you are wanting some particular ones that you see, you can right click them and "save as" and save them to a folder on your computer....when you want to use them, you will need to select the "go advanced" option at the bottom of your post box....it will pop open and you will see all kinds of icons in your taskbar at the top of your message....the paperclip is the one you would select to use one of your saved smilies....unless it is an online photo smily....then you would select the icon that looks like a picture;)

Easiest way to get the juice out of the batt end of a carto is to put a paper towel over the top of the battery and screw the carto on keeping the paper towel on top of the battery while you're doing it. Unscrew and do it again until the paper towel is clean. It also has the added benefit of cleaning the threads of the batt. I do that every time I fill a carto or top one off.

YEP - Me too . . . :thumb:
(That's for both the "Condom Method" and "Needles")

(P.S. Thanks for putting a name to the "spin" I forgot it myself . . . Blame it on old age ;) . . .)

Twilight Zone
I use one of those bulb syringes from the infant dept of WallyWorld for cleaning. I cut the tip until it fits in the carto and powerflush back and forth with warm water. Used to clean my Ego attys and b Boge cartos with it, pump it about 100 times with air to dry it and then fill them. I botom filled them for the manual batts but nearly always had a little gurgling and some flooding. Guess I never perfected it. I'm afraid to try it with the auto batts so I drip into the Volt cartos and count drops. They look about the same size as the Boge but seem to hold about half again as much juice. Really nice filler in there. I can visually see a difference.
