Gosh, I was away from the computer all day yesterday and now it's a nightmare trying to catch up with the SI thread.

There's probably 50 messages I want to comment on but I'll just choose a few:
Having a problem with my Volt batts. Seems from what I've read, most people are getting 3 to 4 hours out of a 78mm. I'm getting maybe 2 hours at the most. A 65mm is giving me about 1 hour. Been using the charger from my Echo pv, which appears to be working correctly ... takes about 3 hours to charge until the led extinguishes. Anyone think the charger is the culprit? Maybe it's cutting off before full charge? If that's the case, would the batt's led extinguish without a full charge?
It's that Echo charger most likely because I think it's the same as the Ego charger. And if so, I experimented using my Ego charger and it would not charge the Volt batteries up fully. Look at its fine print on it, does it output a real USB's charging voltage of 5V? If not, that's the problem. Get a good charger, like from SI.
....
And I have another couple of questions . . . I tried to look for this answer to no avail and can't find it anywhere . . . Does it matter if you leave the battery/ies connected to the PCC or should they be disconnected? Will leaving them connected harm the PCC? And I don't know if anyone would know this yet - However, I do know I have no problem having an "e-Cig" in my carry-on bags - but what about a PCC?
You can leave the batteries connected to the PCC without hurting anything. Once the LED at the end of the battery goes out, no more current is traveling in either direction.
Well, I'm waiting to see if SteelJan's results match up. The last time I brought up what I thought was a technical observation her results had me buying a new set of meter probes.
LOL!!! Yes, your observations of the mega-PCC are pretty much the same as mine. But you concluded that its shortcomings are good enough for you. Eh, I want a charger to fully charge my batteries because I am not happy when I've packed my guesstimated necessities and they don't perform to my expectations. The mega-PCC does not deserve a Volt logo IMHO.

BTW, love the Cartomizer Fillanator!! Thanks!
Hmm...
I got the new mega PCC and I am not sure what to think so far. I placed a dead 65mm battery in it last night before I went to bed (with the PCC plugged into my laptop to charge as well) and let it do its thing all night. When I woke up, the light on the battery and the charging light was off, but just for good measure I took the battery and put it in the regular PCC to see if it was charged. Nope! It charged for almost a half hour in the reg PCC before the light shut off. Hmm...
Anyone else have this problem with the new mega PCC's? Also, someone please tell me, when the mega PCC is charging how do you know when it is fully charged? Lol! I noticed that two blue lights have stayed on almost exclusively with the third blue light blinking. When it is dead, will the two blue lights not light up? Confused haha.
The mega-PCC is fully charged when all 4 blue LED's are lit and on a true 5V USB port used for charging, it takes 5-6 hours to fully charge it. Funny thing though, when the mega-PCC won't charge my Volt batteries to any acceptable level anymore, which is typically after charging one 65mm shorty battery, it still shows 2 blue LEDs. I agree with Vapian that the mega-PCC just does not put out enough charging current, even when fully charged.
I haven't done the experiment where I stick my batts in a USB charger after I charge them using the mega pcc yet, but I'll give it a shot. I will say that the two batts I have charged in the mega PCC work perfectly fine and so far have certainly given me what seems to be totally normal usage times. I have to say though that I'm the kind of person that sticks my batts back in the charger before they're completely dead and switches to a new batt just because I think all vaping batts perform better the sooner they were charged. And with the PCC or mega PCC why not throw them in before they're dead?
Birdbrain, absolutely LOVED your video. Right on man! However, back on topic, I tried putting in a 78mm battery after I'd vaped it only about an hour and still the mega-pcc did not fully charge it. So at least in my experience, the mega-PCC is not good for even topping off 78mm batteries.
Also, someone asked if you can recharge the mega-PCC with a car cigarette lighter adaptor. Yes you can, as long as it's putting out the standard USB which is 5V and at least 500ma.
Love this thread. The Volt is the way to go. Vape it til ya make it!!!!!!!!
