Too kind - I wanna go out, have a beer, watch some football, have conversation, right now!!!! :) Maybe I change back :)

I like this one, but I really liked your other one VABill, he looked like a guy I would want to hang out with, maybe have a beer and talk about politics or football or something, ya know?

Oooh, very nice! I love the logo graphics treatment you did on the cartos too! (or do they come like that? Don't have my stuff yet.)
Those are labels that I did myself (I'm a CAD Designer, but only working a couple days a week now). I peeled the label off of a bottle of Volt RY4 to swipe the logo, used PhotoShop to cut and clean a bit, inverted, and printed the labels on a Brother label maker. It just seemed a shame to cover the Volt logo on the battery with the vinyl when I'd like to promote the company - so I put the logo on the carto!

sounds like we will, in fact, have some football to watch this year, the greedy b**tards came to a decision that they can all sleep at night with. I can't decide whether to be excited to have a season or just mad because of all the avarice in the face of so much unemployment.

How about this one? :)
I vote for the second one - change is good!

ps I was fooling around with my nook today (the one I dropped in the tub months ago) and it's miraculously returned from the dead! A quick update and my library loaded and I'm back in the game!! Yay for solving problems by totally ignoring them and hoping they will go away!

I just got a couple of Volt batteries, and would just like to say that I'm a fan already. I just have a couple of questions, sorry if they've already been asked but it's a looong thread!
1st: Is there any way to tell if a Volt batt is done charging on a standard 808 charger? and
2nd: What is the resistance of the Volt cartos?
Thanks in advance for any help!

Are you related to my stepdaughter???? Are you? LOL

I am a spiritual sister to all who fall down in public and in private, who drop everything they pick up on odd-numbered days, who run into walls they were just leaning against,..... you get the picture.

my family doesn't even bother to check and see if I'm ok before they fall out laughing anymore.

Welcome mle!!

1) yes our VOLT batt LED's light up when charging and go out when fully charged :)
2) about 2.6 ohms

Hey there mle!

Welcome to the thread, I might be able to point you in the right direction on one of your questions: Steeljan makes an AWESOME series of videos about the Volt, and you'll definitely wanna check them out. In this video: ‪steeljan's Channel‬‏ - YouTube she hooks up a bunch of the Volt cartos to a multimeter (I think that's what that is!) and they measure from about 2.3-2.7 with a bit of variation. Definitely give that video a look if you want to know tons about your Volt.

I'm not sure on your 808 charger--I've noticed on the three ways I have for charging--90% of the time the LED lights up and when it goes off they're charged, 5% of the time the LED goes off but another of my charging methods seems to charge it a little bit more. And then another 5% of the time the LED doesn't light up but the charger still says it's charging (actually this one only happens on one of my chargers, but if I take it off when the light goes out it's still charged up almost fully).

I was just thinking about how between my laptops, cell phones, eBook readers and now e-cigs I spend a pretty good amount of time every day wondering how much my various things are charged. Life in 2011.

So your mileage may vary depending on your charger.

EDIT: whoops I got scooped by Imagine, who I am happy to be scooped by!

better dropped than just gone - my son has lost 3 phones, one disappeared at disneyland last year and I was convinced it was on the tracks in the Indiana Jones ride and was going to kill dozens of innocent children if not found - it showed up in the mail on precisely the day we replaced it.
