Those are labels that I did myself (I'm a CAD Designer, but only working a couple days a week now). I peeled the label off of a bottle of Volt RY4 to swipe the logo, used PhotoShop to cut and clean a bit, inverted, and printed the labels on a Brother label maker. It just seemed a shame to cover the Volt logo on the battery with the vinyl when I'd like to promote the company - so I put the logo on the carto!
Looks very sleek and classy. Great job!

Playing with a new avatar . . . any good? Better or worse than my other? :)

edit: notice my green volt!
tee hee, this one looks like the senior citizen version of your last one (retired in Florida, next to GA)! The Aloha shirt! Classic! (*only seeing the current one - I think I missed the second one)

Sorry - you MUST back-read. We had an awful lot of fun!! Welcome home!

I had a package too, and finally got to do this to the two chrome batteries that I was waiting for (a whole two day wait - lol):

Sorry, you'll have to click on it for a close-up. If you decide to skin a battery with automotive vinyl I recommend that you only do it on a chrome or a battery stripped of any finish or covering. Otherwise, the added thickness might make it impossible to charge in a PCC or standard charger.

Looks fantastic:drool:
What drip tips are those? Aluminum? They appear to slide into the carto rather than others that just slip over the outside... Are they a pretty solid fit?

*raises hand to all above mentioned clumsiness. My dd newest fun thing to tell people is not to worry about mama, she drops, trips, runs into things "all the time, she's ok"...hmmm maybe that explains the weird looks?

Jill - WHERE'S KITTY??? I SAW A NEW ONE FOR A MILLISECOND? I do however like pretty new avi.
Bill, I'm w/cindycated...lizard looks like my neighbors...<<<<yes, florida. :p

Another way to get a VOLT logo: download the Volt user manual (orange gradient logo on first page) or Volt PCC manual (black on white logo on first page) and use Adobe Reader to select the logo and copy it to the clipboard for insertion into your favorite photo/paint program.

BTW, I believe the VOLT logo was based on the "Serpentine Bold-Oblique" font, with a custom styling for the 'O'. Attached is an example (with the standard 'O').

i noticed that when I'm charging my batteries the light doesn't go out. ill start to realize this when its been like two hours of charging off my volt usb. now if i unplug them and then replug them in the light goes out and stays out.

should i just leave them plug in and the ucig led will eventually turn off?
am i not fully charging because i disconnect and reconnect to find a off led?
do you guys think i have a defective charger?

btw this is the case when using my mac or car adapter

These are from:
Colored 510/901 Drip Tips
Thanks!! The drip tips are plastic, and snuggly fit in the end of the carto. The one in front is Chocolate Marble and the other is just black. Bit pricey ...

Cool! Never thought of that. Well, it was only a five minute task, so I don't feel too much like a doofus.

thank you  ...talking about a non-perfect world...got a call from a telemarketer yesterday....I had answered during a family dinner... I WAS actually interested in what they were selling...but this is how the conversation went...

I always answer the phone and don't say anything, waiting for the other person to initiate conversation.
If it's a telemarketer they interpret the silence as an answering machine or computer/fax and hang up and remove the number from their call database.
In the past it has worked every single time. And yes, my VOIP numbers are all in the national do not call registry but it seems the DNC registry is nothing more than a phone number database for politicians to use while campaigning. But guess what? Even the pols use the same marketing companies the telemarketers use which use the same equipment, so the silence trick works for them too.

Yes, I think they stay on for about 10min after they are fully charged.

The rules are, if you have a 'relationship' with the company, they are allowed to call. So you get calls from banks & credit card companies & places you ordered things from that have your number (like Omaha Steaks). Also, charities & political groups are allowed to call. But other than those, being on the DNC list has completely stopped all other telemarketing calls. I used to get 3-8 every day. And for the steak place, I just told them to put me on their DNC list then those stopped too.

So did you email it to The View? I think they actually do check those. Maybe she'll put you on the show! :)

Thanks, no, I didn't think of that. Will give it a shot. Am hearing from a lot of folks that they are posting the video to their Facebook pages, hoping to get it to Whoopi. Who knows, fingers crossed.
