Years ago, I remember someone from one of the big shipping companies (was it FedEx?) telling me that everything they get goes through someplace like Tennessee. It sounds crazy, but apparently sending everything to a central location to be sorted, then sending it to the addressee, makes sense. I can't see how that's more efficient, but then, this is the Modern Age, and lots of ways things are done don't make sense to me.

Yeah, FedEx routes everything through Tennessee regardless of where it is heading. I asked them why that had to be the case since they had to fly their plane right over my house to a location on the other side of the country, just to send it on a plane back to my side. Told me it was her guess that it was more cost-effective to have one giant sorting bin to send things to smaller sorting bins before sending it out in even smaller sorting bins (trucks) for delivery. I couldn't understand the logic at the time simply because I wanted it NOW! Blah! Just drop it off via parachute and I'll go get in my car and GPS it's landing zone. Hah.

As far as recommending juices go: SI offers two Sampler packs that have very popular flavors. One thing I really like about SI eliquids are that they don't skimp on the flavor. I heartily recommend the grape, the watermelon, and the RY4. Since I DIY most of my eliquids, it's difficult to convert me to a flavor that I have to buy, but these three have me hooked! :p

Oh - and congrats on your batt surviving the bath. Very nice!

Yeah, I already went through the process with them on one of my autos - it had a 2 second cutoff time, and the light would NOT stop blinking/flickering while vaping, or charging, or whatever. They had me handled in 10 minutes time. My anxiety comes from the fact that this is my second batt that appears defective, and I don't want them to think I'm sort of problem child. Eh, I'll get over it.

As far as liquids, that's the advice I gave since I got the sweet sampler with my starter pack. Everything but the vanilla was delicious. Only problem is that I'm vaping on a limited budget, so I need to find (hopefully) quality liquids in large quantities that are more cost effective. So I'll save that talk for a more appropriate thread. But I do have to finish by adding that the menthol burst I got in addition to the sampler was the best tasting menthol I've ever had the pleasure of waking up to. So Volt has me covered when I feel like splurging on that when my paychecks arrive. (Though I'm going to be more thoughtful when tasting the sampler I just ordered, just so I know which of their juices I feel are worth investing in.)

Thanks for the welcoming! Love the avatar - "Guy in tree." It makes me laugh for some reason.

yea, but with USPS, it varies with every shipment it seams....my first order with Volt didn't go to PA...straight here....I had a package from New York Travel to Texas before coming to me (all others from them went to PA first which is understandable)....and someone else had a package go to Puerto Rico before. It's just insane!

I am trying to remember who I order from that it goes to Cleveland for sorting....at least that is in the same state:laugh: So it's just the inconsistency that is what makes it so idiotic

I thought I was the only goofy person who couldn't stay out of the tub with my e-reader lol! ^This^ makes me happy, especially since it started working again :)

Now I'm scared I'm gonna drop my Volt in there one day. A book and a vape (used to be a cig) in a bubble bath are my heaven on earth. I just ordered some chocolate malt e-liquid to try-all that together at the same time and I may die of sheer happiness.
I would be happy to just take a bath alone without all 3 cats and the dog coming to visit and my husband or child hollering for the current location of some item or other - it's the cats' fault the damn thing fell in the tub in the first place!
I'd try rubbing at the rust with a piece of onion (although it will need cleaning again, I can't imagine vaping that flavor lol) or a tiny piece of balled up aluminum foil

does onion remove rust? I've never heard that before, would have been a handy piece of information to have before I gave up and moved to the desert!

I call my fiance a "guy," so it just is part of my vernacular that "guy"="person." But, haha, sorry for any confusion/offense! I have to explain that one to every single miss that doesn't understand my sloppy slang. It's time for me to just drop the term entirely, it seems, ha.

Again, apologies.

I used to belong to an organization that made you put a quarter in the jar every time you addressed the ladies as "guys", I had to quit before I went broke!

The cats are there to ensure that you don't go down the drain, or fall into the toilet. It's their job; it's in their contracts. :D "Own a cat, never pee alone."

The dog, hubby and kids I can't help you with, except to remind you that "the womb is a location device." :D

(Maybe the dog just comes in because the cats are there -- you know, peer pressure . . . :p)

Is your Nook touch screen? If not I put my kindle in a big ziploc for the beach and tub..just an idea.
So glad it resurrected!
Btw..chocolate malt? Yum.

I asked because, I noticed that on my 78 ones that they take twice the amount of time (sometimes longer) to charge then my 65.
The batteries led stays on an additional 10min after its charged. The only two times mine have behaved in the way you described is if I pulled them off the charger when they had a full charge but before that 10 min is up.
And the other is when I use them on a old style charging case.

How long is the charge lasting?

charge is lasting a long time at least 3 + hours on the 65.
but the charging is taking a while.
this afternoon i put the 65 on the charger after only using it for about an hour. it wasn't dead but i wanted to top off the charge before going out. after about an 1.5 hours of charging the led was still lit on the ecig. i un plugged and re pulged and the light didn't go back on.

maybe my timing is bad but to me it seems like the led never goes out while charging. tonight i will do a test to see if it ever goes out
ill plug it in before bed and leave it all night. i guess we will see if my timing is bad or if i just need to be more patient.

is there any harm in leaving it on the charger to long?

no i mean they stay on indefinitely until i unplug them

Hi, Chris-
Are you using SI's USB charger dongle thingie? I don't have my Volt stuff yet (aargh, USPS misrouted my stuff), but I do have a batt from EVW with the same specs. Tried charging it with my V2 charger and the same thing happened to me - overnight, and the light never went out. Switched to the EVW charger (which looks exactly the same as SI's) and it charged within 2 hours. I don't think the V2 charger juiced it up at all.

I think there might be something about this new design of batts that doesn't like some of the old-school KR808 chargers...

I am an insomniac anyway or I'd have the same problem. I take my "me" time after the zoo I'm running over here is all asleep lol.

And yep-onion has a chemical in it called sulphanilic acid...which reacts chemically with the hydrogen ions that rust is made of and breaks them down.

Achtungbaby-now why haven't I thought of a ziploc bag? #facepalm#

I'll give the onion and/or aluminum foil trick a try -- I have never heard of that before. (Hmm, how many onions are needed for a car bumper?...)

To all those who said they let their cartos dry battery side *down*: I did it battery *up* thinking the water would drain off into the paper towel. Maybe it did but that damp section of towel stayed in contact with the carto wall and caused the rust where I found it along the inner lip of the carto.

"Battery side down" would leave the insides open to the air which would probably help. However, if rust did occur, it's going to be hidden below the filler and near the atty, which is not good...:(

For the next cleaning batch, I'll work on drying them out faster.

Maybe it also has something to do with "First Class" vs "Priority Mail?"
