OK Let me address the PCC by Vogue you guys have been discussing. We have already seen it and ordered samples to test out. I have spoken personally with the factory on this... (I first saw this weeks ago....lol already on it!!)

1) The specs are 900 mah (non replaceable battery 300 charging cycles and the PCC will need to be replaced) battery charging times are longer then our slider 3-4 hours for shorties batts (their specs say 2.5-3 ..but like the mega this PCC is designed to charge 150-220 mah batts...and as you know ours are 220-320 mah)

2) the factory told me the way it is set up to hold different sizes ...are actually locked in...they are meant to charge 69mm batts or 89mm batts (those are what are pictured) so they would have to be mod'ed a bit in order to correctly charge our batts. I will confirm this when we receive the samples.

3) We do however really like the design. We are in the process now of designing a version of it married to the design of our current slider exclusive to Smokeless Image and our batteries with a replaceable 1000mah + pcc battery ...like our slider.

When will it be available ....not sure...will let you know when we have finalized a design with the engineer :p

The battery needs to be bigger than 1000mAh if you want it to charge more than 2-3 times on a 65mm battery and more than 1-2 times for 78mm batteries. It needs to be about 2000 - 3000mAh. This shouldn't be as big of a change as what you're already asking. If they are currently using non-user-friendly non-replaceable lithium polymer batteries and you are asking for user-friendly replaceable lithium ion instead, that's going to be a redesign of the charging circuitry and perhaps adding protection circuitry onto the main circuit board.

If instead you wanted to leave it non-replaceable lithium polymer, then bumping it up to a 2000-3000mAh battery is most likely a simple change in the battery they solder in, with no modifications to the circuitry. This would provide more Volt battery charging capability and at the same time, less stress on the pcc's battery, so it would last longer. It might last long enough so that a user would have broken the plastic case and need a replacement anyway.

It's at least something you might want to toss out to discuss.

This sounds just like what everyone will want! Now I'm sort of sorry I got the small PCC. This sounds like it does the same but holds a bit more -- another carto, at least. Oh well, until the PCC I now own gives out, I'm sticking with it. I really do like it. The design is sleek and feels good in my hand. I was very impressed with it when it arrived.

I know I said was gonna place order on the 3rd because of dang goverment but couldn't wait. Did it by phone so I could get the tester tips and got 'em!!! Thanks imagine!

You must be very busy because it took me 3 or 4 calls to get it done but the guy who took my order was VERY nice and helpful. I am hard of hearing and he did not get impatient with me when I had to ask him to repeat himself.

Got instant e-mail conformation of my order and there was a small mistake (charged 9.99 for carts instead of 8.95). Not such a big deal but... Called CS and they apologized for it and fixed it immediatly!! Now THAT is customer service!!

This is my first order with SI and am VERY pleased and I haven't even got my order yet!

I'm sure you know better from a design standpoint, but I like the idea of a replaceable battery. I plan to treat my PCC gently, not break the case, and I think it looks sturdy enough that it may still be going strong when the battery isn't. I have a theoretical objection to so many things being disposable. I grow fond of things like a PCC and want to keep them. It's probably better for the environment, too, to have a reusable PCC. I suggest, Image, that you discuss making it sturdy enough to withstand repeated use, have a replaceable battery, and charge more for it than flimsier disposables, which you might also want to make available for those who want brand-new things all the time.

What do you call super quick about replacing the defective battery?

I think it was about 3 days and i had a replacement and sent them my defective battery. And to me that is very quick as they do not give you a runaround like some company's do or slow to ship. everything Si has shipped to me i have got in 2-3 days

Thanks Jan!! we will be working with the engineer ...things might have to be sacrificed due to getting the size of the PCC right or controlling the cost to the customer... but we will make it the best we can!!! to date the other PCC's we have carried have been stock factory items...this new PCC will be our exclusive design...

Remember everyone...this is still a twinkle in our eye...it will be sometime before if would be manufactured and available for sale.

Got my raspberry battery today, it sure is pretty!
The hubby got a blue one, I'm sure he'll like it, but hes at work still.

I didn't get any business cards though :( I even requested some in the comments. lol thinking I should just order a bunch from one of those cheap sites. Dh is in and out of customer homes during the day. And people always think it is neat.

Stalking the site for cowboy cartos today. lol
Wasn't the refil liquid also supposed to be getting her soon?

That is quick. They gave me a RMA# and told me to send mine in and when they get it and see that it's defective then they'll mail me another. I sent it Saturday. Since my problem is intermittent I don't even know if they'll find the defect.

I'd say SI ships quickly! I just ordered some bedsheets, and they will take 5 to 7 business days to get to me. Meanwhile, I have no sheet that fits my fat mattress. I'll just have to try to stretch my smaller fitted sheets over the mattress. Why did they decide to make the newer mattresses fatter? Now I have lots of fitted sheets that don't fit the bed.

Oh, I wasn't meaning people really should throw it away. I'd simply make a video showing them how they can change it out anyway. Every battery is replaceable once someone figures out how to do it. :)
