from what i understand ...tastebuds take a while to heal...6 months to a year,,,even longer depending how damaged they were. I noticed that one day everything tasted just fine and then the next day it either tasted like crap or i couldnt taste anything.....i believe it is due to our taste buds healing.
I still go through times of ucky tastes and non taste from vaping,,,even menthol!!!!!!!! when we smoked we did a lot of damage to not only our body but our mouth.
so happy vapin,,,,and when you get to those days when nothing taste right, have some ejuice you do not vape much handy so you dont waste your good stuff

Well, I can't say that I've had that happen since I've started vaping. Maybe had an odd day here or there when only one thing tasted really good, but not one where everything tasted burned. But I did have something similar happen once, probably not related to what's happening to you now but just so you know I can feel where you're coming from.
Several years ago I was making mashed potatoes and managed to burn them... badly, smokin' and everything. Now, we all agreed that it was a pretty awful smell at the time, but everyone else in the house was over it when the house aired out. Me? I smelled and tasted those dang-blasted burned potatoes for weeks. Never could explain why, but it was awful.
That said... I think I have had some weird changes in taste since I quit smoking. After the first couple of weeks I began to notice this new taste in my mouth. Turns out it was my mouth... my taste was so far off I didn't know what my own mouth was supposed to taste like anymore!
All of us relatively new to vaping (less than six months to a year) are likely to have taste affected and tastes change for the first few months. Our tongue is healing, gums are healing, mouth is healing, nose is healing... and it really does not strike me as strange that depending on how each of us heals the actual effects we notice will be different.
The only thing that I can think of to recommend is to drink LOTS of water - more than usual if you already drink a lot. Assuming that you don't actually have a drawer full of bad cartos, that coughing makes me think that maybe you might need some good ol' fashioned hydration to help your body flush out something it's trying to get rid of.
Regardless, I hope you find that you get over it soon, whether you find a solution or it just goes away on its own. Good luck!

OMG.....now I REALLY need grape juice! My bottle malfunctioned...I screwed the top off to top off my carto...when I pulled the cap off I didn't realize the little dripper came off with it, unfortunately I didn't catch it in time so I then turned the bottle over and dumped 3/4 of the bottle into the carto. ...!!! This STINKS hardcore! about 6mls of juice wasted for NOTHIN!
Been there, done that, bought the t-shirt, solid it on e-Bay.
Did that once with a whole bottle of my favorite cinnamon bun nicquid. At work. On my laptop.Live and learn... that won't happen to us again, eh? Hope you have something to get you by until the replacement arrives!
