That is exactly what I've been thinking/hoping . . .
That has been my experience with them exactly. It was neat being able to see the level inside, but I went through a ton of fluid for some reason. Also - It began to look a little drug-devicey to me with those black wires, so I tried G4's. Again: Went through waaay too much fluid and couldn't get but a few to work just right.
