Here, there, everywhere!
Okay..I obviously need some help as I just make one )(*)( of a mess filling carts. I was filling new blank carts. I used a syringe 1ml and with all of the carts it was too much - blew on the carts to get juice out of the center. I put the syringe all the way down between side and fill - but didn't work well. Guess in the future I will just drip as I've never had a problem with that..unless someone has an ancient chinese secret that I missed:)

So now I've blown on all of the carts, wiped them off and will let them set overnight. As long as i blow on them again before using I should be okay shouldn't I? Don't want to hurt any of my beautiful Volt batteries.........

Yeah - you should be.

I always just fill from the bottle and I put it right in the center (for me it seems the center post holds an air bubble and pushes it to the sides to the filler). Seem to hardly ever have any juice come out when I blow them out before putting them on the battery.

I do an assembly line and put 10 drops in each one as I go down the line and then go back down it with 5 and so on and so forth.

Works for me anyway.

Iowa...2 things....1) did you plug the bottom before filling? and 2) The fill in these (especially the blanks) is very different than what we are used to....if it is a blank carto, and I am syringe filling, I go very very slow....it takes a bit of time for it to absorb all the way through. After that initial fill, it is much much easier and absorbs quicker. Even doing the drip and spin, I have to spin more often on a brand new carto than one that has been either prefilled, or a blank that has been used (washed out or not).

Keela - yeah I used the plug....I just have to get used to these carts I guess.... Again.... using the drip and spin I haven't had any issues so that may be the safer way to go. I was just probably trying to get things done too fast...then ended up taking longer with my lovely mess.. Oh well... I will be sure to blow them out again...and wipe them down good before using.

In regards to the Orange - I have no input - it's not my color:)

I kinda figured you did hon. These do take a bit of getting used to...especially when we've been using the others for so long;) It is a stiffer filling and I think that is where the difference in the rate of absorption comes into play with the syringe fill (especially on the blank cartos). Mostly, I drip and spin...unless I have a lot to do at one time. I have been pretty good at just topping off whatever I am using at the time instead of tossing into the fill jar and grabbing one already filled.

That looks like a dull red to me. I'd rather see brighter colors. Are you lighting the photos well enough to show the true colors? When I think of red or orange, I think of the colors Crayola crayons are. You know, fire engine red, orange the color of the skin on an orange or maybe just a tad darker.

Well they were supposed to get out May 26th but due to snow days it was June 1

They start the 17th which is about a week earlier than normal. I am not sure what the reasoning is. Not that are school district has much reasoning to anything they do:)
