ok i think this as close as we are going to get with the ingredients needed to make it rubberized....would you buy it or pass?

I really like that color, I'd call it Tangerine. Yes, I would buy one of those in 78mm. You said it's more shiny but it still has the rubberized coating, yes??

Oh, I can't remember who posted something about the red Volt. I have a red one and it is a deep luscious red. When sunlight or any other bright light hits it, the red is gorgeous, has a rich satiny glow. Love it!

question for some volters and imagine, has any one experienced the with there batt connections,

on the 78 mm the finish on the connection is starting to scrape off. At first i thought it was just some juice that got on there, but no - the metallic finish is kinda coming off.

now the battery performs well, i was just wondering if this cause it to fail.
is this normal way and tear ( still a noob) on a batt.
ever since i noticed it about 1.5 weeks ago i ve been taking care to not overly tighten it,
battery is about a month old

i added a pix cause i know its hard to explain

Thanks,

I've had that happen on other batteries, but not on the Volt. It might be the e-liquid you're using if you're not using Volt e-liquid. I've had shiny parts on other batteries and cartos lose their sheen or even their metal plating using various other e-liquids.

I used a wrap met for being able to be reused but the adhesive dosn't hold up well. I have reused a carto wrap before. Removing it was easy.... keeping it from stretching while removing it was a challenge for me tho. I figure that if you use them on a new carto and you can get up to 20 refills, why not:)
FYI. The wraps are resistant to chemical as well as water and will hold up for a long time. This means you can clean the carto and the wrap should remain in great shape. The only problem I have ever had a failed wrap was when the carto was in a pot of boiling water. They can withstand very hot water no problem but not boiling. The corners kinda peel a bit.

I have noticed that my battery connections gets a little black residue on them every few days. When I see it I rub it off, and someone here suggested occasionally putting a paper towel between the battery and the carto and screwing them together. That usually gets it good enough. Once I dipped a q-tip in alcohol and cleaned them well also. I don't have any corrosion on mine, but I would guess that if I hadn't been cleaning off the gunk it could happen.

Probably the juice. I use mostly 100% VG, and using cartos I am probably in the minority in that respect-so that might have something to do with it? Or maybe whatever is in my all day vape? Dunno, I just clean it and keep right on vapin.

successfully cleaned my volt carts!!!

boiled them for 5 mins, then changed the water, then repeated until the boiled water had no scent.
used a syringe to pump air through until they were fairly dry, let them sit on top of my stove as i cooked in the oven ( the stove top gets warm).
i cleaned them around 8 am, its 3pm now and the are hitting great !!!
whole process took abut 45 mins.

was it worth saving the 8-9 bucks, I'm not sure but at least i feel accomplished. lol

i thought it was juice at first too, but its actually the coating of the battery coming off,

i mostly vape volt juice, but i go have a few 30/70 juices that i vape from time to time,

the weird thing is its only happened 1 out of 3 batteries,
but all in all it still performs well --
just wondering if this happened to any one else - steeljan said some of her batts did this, so i'm feeling better already,

off topic

steeljan i watched your video you made for a contest -- the peewee pv one, very funny !!! i enjoyed it as i do all your reviews,

don't know if i mentioned to before or not but i think i bought the volt based on your review.

Thanks !!!

Thanks ozpkchris. I've not had that experience on my Volt batteries, but on other ecigs I had it happen. Oh, another thing I just thought of, you said you'd vaped other things on your Volt batteries, like those Clearomizers. You might want to look at the bottom of a Clearomizer and see if they might have scraped your batteries. Come to think of it, I'll bet that's what happened with my other-branded old 510's and mods.... I've vaped just about everything, lol.

good thought, this actually started before the clearomizers, -- and i would think it would happen to my other batts as well if it was the case, maybe this att just had a bad paint job so to speak.

Its my one month anniversary today yay me!!! i told myself when i stopped smoking that i would reward my self with an analog when i made it this far, funny thing is i don't have any desire for one. my urge to smoke is completely satisfied by my volt.. thanks SI

Just got my order-placed late Friday night after the 30ml. bottles went up! I didn't order the new tobacco blend, so can't help anyone there. The new 30ml. bottles are nice looking. I should be set now until the Labor Day sale. Excellent service. Ohio is a great state to live in,,,

Excellent review once again for the Volt. Ya know, don't believe I've ever heard of anyone that isn't really impressed with these puppies.

That's my take on it, too. Every reviewer, one after the other, says the same thing: the Volt is great if you want a cigarette-sized vape.

Those drip tips were cool. So well-matched to the batts. Did SI provide them, or did Darcy have them? Not that I need to buy more paraphernalia.

Speaking of which, it has occurred to me that vaping is like those old-time pipe smokers I knew in my childhood: lots of flavors and paraphernalia. It's much more like a hobby than smoking cigarettes.
