I tried it with a current generation horizontal coil and didn't really have any luck... I didn't spend a ton of time fighting with it but good luck. Let us know how it works for you.

Not sure what you did/how you did it, but it works just fine for me. Work it just like the vertical coils.....take a straight pin/safety pin/needle and work around the air tube to gently separate the filler. Then take tweezers and gently pull out the filler. You will be left with the air tube and wicking material that surrounds it. Drip a couple of drops down the side of the carto and vape;) One thing with doing it this way, there is a bit of a learning curve with atties to prevent those horrid harsh burning dry hits. I have never experienced that kind of hit using a carto for dripping. Now, I have no idea how long one of these cartos will work for this purpose (days, weeks), but it is definitely a way to get a little more mileage outta a carto that seems spent or has a funny taste....remove the filler and get a bit more life outta it:laugh:

somebody on ecf did a video review on this method, he said it has the same life span as a reg. atty

I may have remove the wicking material along with the filler. Didn't realize that needed to stay...although duh, seems kinda obvious thinking about it now :p I'll have to take another look at it this weekend.

excited to say yes :p we are still in the design phase though.....once we have the specs and 3d images of exactly what we want...they will then create a sample ...which we will test...once approved we will start production.....will probably be about 2 months min... before we are selling it

I was going to mention that ...thought about it as I was laying in bed last night....if you removed the filler...the silica fiber would still be press fit around the coil....so that would remain...and still absorb the juice...but would be much easier to clean and faster to dry :) good for flavor testing

I am curious, and will have to try it in a little bit....with the vertical coil cartos, you can take out the filler and use it like an atty for dripping....I will (unless someone else knows for sure) try this with the Volt horizontal coil cartos and see if it works.

And they are cheaper than an atty. Personally I don't care for regular atties on 808's....especially since the best dripping atty, imho, is the 306 (or now there are atties specifically designed for dripping that are awesome) and you need a 510 connection or adapter....even then, it would be hard on the batt. And again, the downside for using an atty is the learning curve. It can be a miserable experience or a pleasant one...my hubby for one just cannot get atty dripping down.

I have vaped in the past and am ready to purchase another PV, I have also convinced my friend to start vaping. After reviewing the Volt on youtube and other forums I'm happy with the product. Only problem is the samplers are out of stock!! I am wondering if you have a date when those samplers will be back in stock for him and I to order with our starter kits?? Also do you have plans on releasing a green battery with some color LED??

Thanks!!!

Now my question - can build up around the threads of the battery create a harder draw than normal? If so then I guess it's time for Vapian's or was it Steeljans?? video on cleaning the batts............no where did that go???

dip a qtip in rubbing alcohol and rub the batt threads, being careful to not get liquid in it if it's an auto. also take a sewing needle and poke the little airholes by the batt threads. wipe it off with the alcohol qtip again and you're good to go

checked the mail box....................
got my order YES!!!!!!!!!!!

classic grape = great. imo better then new grape- more of a candy/sweat taste minus the smokey under tone.

i also received the purple batt/purple led and pink/white led (whit led is really cool looking) for my mothers b-day present- i think with tools like this she will be able to kick the habit and start a new voltier one.
i give them to her early probably tomorrow or the next day--

not a bad setup imo

Starsong, thank you for the link. I watched the video and it was very helpful.

Keelagirl, a big thank you to you too, I removed the fluffy white filling and left the wick - it works! I dripped 3 drops of my 100% VG (with some flavouring) and it's great. How do I clean between different liquids? Do I just run some hot water through it maybe? I can't wait to try out different combos of DIY juice.

Thank you both again.

I just got an order of 7 different flavors today and was just dying to try them. I was not really keen on using up that many of my newly cleaned and dried cartos and was resolved to trying only one at a time over the next several days. Then I found these posts!! Thank you thank you thank you thank you!!!!!

Of course I have OD'd a little on nic, but I'm sure I'll be able to sleep much better tonight knowing how all my lovely new juices taste. :p

Thanks again!!
