what do you all use to sample flavors? I am tired of filling my carts with flavors I don't like. Is that what drip tips are for? If yes, is there a good place to get them for my Volt?
That's what I keep old dying cartos for, that I can't revive anymore (I do a separate cleaning for those). Then they get tossed after that, guilt-free...SteelJan mentioned too, a while back, that you can drop a couple of drops directly into the post hole, swish it around, and try it that way. I think that was a way to test the carto, but it would probably work for tasting juice too.

Or - you can easily remove the filler material and drip down the sides of the carto. I have one carto set aside just for testing juices. It's easy enough to blow out anything that doesn't tickle your fancy. I'm thinking that most folks here that use the drip tips on the cartos do so because it feels more comfortable. You wouldn't actually want to drip down the hole or it would probably go into the center tube. You want to avoid that when putting eliquid into a carto.

Ooh, yeah - that sounds a lot simpler! What can I say...learn something new EVERY DAY! Thanks, Rave!

I bought a Volt kit last week and have to say that I'm really enjoying it. Compared to the Volcano, the Volt has a much smoother vape and I don't have to suck nearly as hard to get a solid "hit". The chocolate and cherry cartos are my favorite so far. When those died, I experimented by filling them with the juices I have from Volcano. They're a cinch to fill, and I get tons of vapor and good flavor. Thank you, Steeljan for the video tutorial! :)

The only disappointments I've had so far is with the PPC and the manual battery. With the PPC, I held the button down for the required 4 seconds, but it doesn't seem to charge after 4+ hours of being hooked up to my computer. I'll have to have my husband take a look at it and point out what I'm doing wrong.

As for the manual battery, it worked for a total of two puffs before it gave up the ghost. I recharged it, but it still won't work. Now, I'm trying to decide if it's worth the hassle of returning it.

Overall, I'm very happy with my decision to try the Volt and plan to use the summerend discount for my next order.

I had a similar incident happen with my first manual. It's really not a hassle (not for me it wasn't ). Let them know what happened, either by calling them or creating a ticket on the site.

Ditto . . . I know personally that whether or not there is a malfunction, if you are not happy with how it is functioning and it is within the warranty period . . . They will send you out a replacement and a return envelope so you can send the other one back . . .

And all done at - "NO CHARGE" - to you . . . View attachment 52322View attachment 52322View attachment 52322View attachment 52322View attachment 52322View attachment 52322

Someone else already posted my method of tasting e-liquids with cartomizers but I'll write it myself again, lol. I turn over the cartomizer and put just a couple of drops down through the threaded end. Then I blow a gentle puff of air down it to make sure the e-liquid has gotten onto the coil. Then I turn it over, screw it on the battery and try it. If I like what I taste, I go ahead and fill it up. If not, well, there's only e-liquid straight down the center, so most likely I'd take the cartomizer off of the battery, cover the threaded end with a tissue, and blow out the e-liquid, most all of it will come out. If not, maybe have to rinse it with some water and let it sit until dry.

Hi and thanks, DM! :) Chimney55, thanks for telling me about your CS experience. I'm glad to hear that you had a good experience with their CS department. :) I'll submit a ticket.

There's no CS like SI's CS. Welcome, DebW; I adore the puddy-tat in your avi! Is s/he yours?

In other news, today I received the new green batts and other goodies I ordered right after the sale code was posted. This color is just awesomely beautiful!! :hubba: :hubba: Thanks, SI!

I would like to know the "in" Imagine and SI have with the post office. I never get packages early. My Volt came a day early. I'm in a rural area - this never happens! I have so much news. I punched out all the Smooth Sampler cartos and proceeded to try each one. My two favs are Freedom and Desert Joe, in that order. I could vape any of the others but I wouldn't go out of my way for 555. I really like the nutty exhale on the Freedom - who knew?!

The surprising part. I sat down and sampled with hubby and friend. Friend is still interested but hesitating. *sigh* The big surprise was hubby who asked me to save one for him in the evenings! He has supported my vaping and even tried some fun flavors but had no desire to advance further. This is a huge first step! (Neither of them like my fat batts. lol)

Now the hard part. Which color batts will I choose - no, I can't get them all (at this point) - and what flavor will hubby settle on?! wooohoooo!!! :D :vapor: <---- hubby :D

Awee blush Sir uncle...nice to read such a lovely post.... & im impressed by the amount of aussie words you have aquired, if i didnt know any better i could pass you off as one of the locals :) :). Im the one on the right, the crusty clown hair do LOL Its a good thing it was contained that day, if i let it out i may have scared someone... Some people already call me the peters icecream girl, cos i have this condition that when i get hot or sweat or play lots of sports the left side of my body only sweats and i have a distinct line that runs from the middle of my face all the way down to my chin. The left side is bright red and the right side is normal colour. My left hand sweats and my right hand is dry as a lake bed. Hmmmm just a little bit of quirky info about me for the day. :)
