There is a BIG difference - USB Charger takes longer then a "Wall Wart"and can hurt your computer from what I hear . . . If you can aford it get at least one "Wall Wart" Charger too . . . AND a couple of extra batteries just in case you & the wife vape more than you thought you might . . . BTW, also IMO - you will find that buying the same items seperatly will come to the same amount as a Kit - which is just put together for you so you don't have to order everything individually . . . Just my:2c: and suggestion . . . and don't forgot the Code
By the way the code is summerend
I prefer not to use my computer USB port as sometimes there can be issues with electrical spikes etc. (although I personally have not seen this happen to a computer in a very very long time)

Ahhh, didn't realize it could hurt our computers. Hmm, gonna have to reconfigure everything then. Thank you for that info. Just trying to make the best package I can for the cheapest I can and get enough cartomizers to get us by a couple weeks. Well, I have to ask, if you might know, does it matter that all our computers have 750 watt true watt 80 amp single rail power supplies? Or is it something related to the USB itself that ends up causing damage? Thanks again.

Apparently they are out of wall adapters so that wont matter right now anyway. Ok, here is a question that could help me a lot, does anyone know if other USB wall adapters would work? I have several from other devices, is it a specific voltage or something? Or is it pretty much standard if it is USB? Sorry for all the questions but thanks for all the help.

It has more to do with the pull of power from the USB port and not so much to do with the power supply. Most likely if you cant get the wall adapter right away you will be fine. Many of the newer computers (those built in the last 3 yrs or so) don't seem to have as many issues with the devices pulling too much power from the USB port.

This one I will leave to our more experienced and tech people - "SteelJan or "Vapian" to answer for you or someone else who might want to jump in to answer you . . .

As for other Vendors that may have them - I am using one from someone else that has one that will work, However it is usually suggested & better to get the same one from the SI (however, I will Pm you where mine came from), but if you check around you might be able to find another also . . . and might be less expensive then where I got mine too.

Ok, now that is ridiculously fast answers lol. My wife is getting more and more anxious so I HAVE to order some for her tomorrow. I am on the site now trying to configure what I am going to get her, I see today you guys went out of the standard starter kit though so I am rebuilding the standard kit with the basic kit basically minus the wall adapter and trying to see how cheap I can do it. I was wondering though, is the wall adapter that big of a deal? I mean, you still get the USB charger so isnt that the same thing really? And, I was planning on putting my order in around 11 AM or so, so hopefully the new Cartos will be on the site by then, I am excited about trying watermelon for sure, I love the classic grape.

Beyond the questions I just asked right now I am just trying to put together the best poor man package on the site right now lol. Amazing product, I really am loving it.

Firstly, WELCOME :toast:
Second, I regularly use my iPad or HTC smartphone wall warts for the USB charger. I don't believe there is any real fear of damaging a recent model computer but it is REALLY slow in comparison, I never charge off my computer. I actually don't even own a SI wall charger, shh...don't tell Imagine ;) I just have so many other USB wall warts available and just picked up one of these, PowerSource PS-302, my store carries the brand so I'm testing one out. I got it specifically for traveling since most hotels don't exactly cater to techy people that need 4 or more outlets to plug everything in at night
Hope that helps :)

EDIT: Or just pick up a USB hub with external power, they are available that don't even need to be attached to the computer.

It doesn't matter which wall adapter you use so much as the USB dongle. I use a power strip that has 2 USB connections and have had no probs at all. Any wall adapter from anyone will work fine.

I also use my PC USB to charge my batts. It DOES take longer to charge that way. The problems with using PCs I have heard about, is with the pass-through on notebooks, not with charging the batteries.

The code for 21% off is SUMMEREND, all caps. You really need at least 2 batts and should get at least one manual. Best to try out cartos you have refilled on them first because if carto is damp on end can blow out an automatic. But should be no prob if you are careful to make sure refilled cartos are dry before using. You MAY find you like the manuals. I do. More control and uses less juice. :)

Hope all this info isn't confusing you!

To piggy-back on what "Imagine" just said - is there any "tobacco" flavoring in the "Menthol Burst" too ?

And if not - while I know already that it is purely subjective to the individual . . . Okay enough - just plain and simple . . .
Can anyone tell me anything more specific about the SI "tobacco" flavors so I could possible mix the 2 to try and get what I am looking for - Thanks ! ! !

P.S. No smilies - serious question here . . . Well - just ONE then -View attachment 54383 View attachment 54384

(Okay, i know that's actually 2, but I couldn't wait any longer to use the 2nd one ;) - so Kill Me :D )

I'm searching for the same tastes: I smoked Newport Lights for many years. I bought some "USA Green Mix" (supposed to be like Marlboro Menthol but I couldn't taste any menthol) and some "Menthol" (no tobacco flavoring) from the same vendor. I ended up dumping a lot of the "Menthol" into the other to get something that actually says to me "I smoking a cigarette".

The problem with regularly charging on the USB port of a computer is that it may not put out consistent, reliable power (it's not your computer - that's just the nature of these ports). It's this flaky inconsistency that can harm your battery. If you must, try to use the USB port on the computer that's more reliable: on a desktop, it would be the ones on the back; on a laptop, the one on the left (usually, the more convenient ones were made for low-power stuff where it wouldn't matter, like a mouse). Or better yet, try one of the wall adapters you already have - USBs are usually 5V standard - as long as you use SI's dongle. If I were you, I would make do with what I already have and save up for a powered USB hub, so you can charge more than one battery at a time (just get more dongles). On your first time charging, while you're mindlessly staring at the charger and frantically waiting for that LED indicator to turn, you'll understand why (takes about 3 hours for the 78mm). Here's the one I have:
8VglthdJPQQAdJ29ynxIaf-F_dz6bvc-jGuo1FImOSHgADdATtKTAIZ--5jCVrac5cFgu0nclIAqU-sjZADKdaLYhIMYDI4-Kdl08bHGtEzERqssxK2mkfynLfPZqOPT

Digital Innovations 7-Port Connect + Charge
Power Supply: 5V 2.5A (included wall adapter; no computer connection needed)
They also make a cheaper, smaller version with 4 ports instead of 7.

There are a lot of different kinds out there. Just make sure it has a decent power supply (I'd say at least 2A for a 7-port, just to be safe and reliable) and the ports are spaced out enough to accommodate the dongles, which are larger than the usual USB connector that these things were designed for. The wall adapter that I got with my first starter kit is just sitting in a drawer now. I use up 4 batteries a day. Now, I just screw them all in to charge before bed, and I'm good to go for the next day. SI's dongles have an IC chip that cuts the power when they're fully charged (or is it in the battery? not sure), so there's no harm...but I still remove them as soon as I get up, just to be safe! :)
I don't own/need a PCC, but you can charge those on this thing too.

Good idea . . . However, the only problem with fruit is - I LOVE ALL Fruit, use to eat it all the time & everyday - and that is one of the reasons I'm now a diabetic and my doctor doesn't want me to even think of having any . . . Most all of it is off my diet . . . Although, I am allowed to have a small apple/pear every so often and sometime I sneak a piece of cantaloupe or watermelon - but absolutely NO Grape/Raisins or Bananas or Plums or Peaches or Nectarines or Cherries and absolutely no PINEAPPLE or Oranges either . . . Get the idea . . . NO FRUIT for Me . . . AND Just the thought makes my mouth water so much and I want to go raid the produce section of the Green Grocer's or Supermarket right now . . . ;)

DAMN - and as for Blueberries - Muffins/Waffles/Banana bread/Date-nut Bread/Figs/ Fruit filled Danish/ etc etc etc . . . What can I say - Makes me want everything that I am not allowed to eat. . . I have to consider SO MUCH . . . More importantly, my taste buds still work . . . SO food is not a problem . . .

YOU Know - WTH ! ! ! MENTHOL - I can have . . . but I cannot taste any only sweet undertones of mint/peppermint/toothpaste when I "Vape" . . . unless I use the menthol crystals . . .

So hopefully, you can understand WHY this is so difficult for Me . . .
Ya know, Uncle, I QUIT eating desserts when I started vaping them, and lost a ton of weight! :)

Seriously, you're the perfect candidate. If you're not averse to Sucralose, vaping sweets may be a way for you to still enjoy them. You just have to trick your brain and get into the mindset of saying "aaah, blueberry muffin," instead of saying "damn, now I want a blueberry muffin." (Kinda like the "glass is half-empty/half-full" thing) It's easy, and the more you experiment, the easier it gets - especially when vaping all that yummy goodness doesn't make you sick. You can try that too: "yum, I'm having blueberry muffin and it won't make me sick!" I have the craaaaziest sweet tooth and I indulge myself like a spoiled child, so if it can work for me, it can work for ANYBODY! Especially you! :)

Morning all,
i couldn'nt help myself but YAY YAY carto's are in and the new mint.
Awesomeness Imagine!!!! Couldn'nt believe how much i saved with the coupon. Your the best. Thanks for extending it till the new stock came in, i've never come across any other vendor who has done that. It covered my postage and a 30ml of grape!!! So excited. I've been SI obsessed all week, somebody slap me...
Uncle i have your frustrations except with fruit flavours, not menthol. I gave up on all fruit flavours a while ago, they didn'nt have to taste like "real" fruit to me just a nice tasting flavour would have been good. There was always something odd going on. Thumbs up for the SI classic grape, that is good. If you dont mind waiting for snail mail, i can send u some of COV's menthol and smooth. Just pm me your addy if you want.
Just spent the last 1/2 hour going back through my friend contacts and sending out volt praise, they all asked for opinions and usually it takes two weeks for a pv to make or break my listing. Hehe okay i will sit here quietly now, im sure you are all sick of me and my love of volt. So how's everyones morning going. Oh before i forget, does anyone know if there is much of a flavour change difference between 12mg & 18mg. I usually use 18mg and the last lot got all 12mg, but now ordered then all in 18mg... Just curious.

Welcome to the thread. Almost any 5volt 500mah/.5amp usb wall charger or a usb car charger. WalMart, Radio Shack etc.. I got my car charger at Wally's and it works fine. A lot of phone type chargers meet this spec. The SUMMEREND discount sure helps getting started.

I had this same experience! I easily pass up sweets these days - except chocolate. But I attribute that to not being able to find a chocolate nicquid I like. Now if I could just find a stuffed bake potato and cheese enchilada flavor.....

Hi Arkennon, welcome to the forum. It's just been about one month since I found this forum and got my first Volt. I had been struggling with another type PV and find this one simply amazing. And I find that the juices that were already in my "good" stash taste even better in SI's cartomizers. Their battery and carto combo can't be beat!

No, I haven't - Although, I've registered for their site and sent an email requesting Info about their juice - I never got a response, so I passed them by . . . Nor has anyone suggest them to Me or that Menthol. . . So, Thanks for the suggestion . . . Can I also ask you - What was your analog ? That would give me an idea of what PureCig Menthol is like . . .

Uncle, they were at Vapefest Las Vegas so it may be a day or two but David will get back to you.

Thank you for the information . . . AND OH - Do I have a number of suggestions for you . . . Among many suggestions for Nic-juice people have mentioned to me are those about how close the taste is to a "Nurport" (which without-a-doubt is not what I'm looking for at all - Nuport/Salem not for Me at all). . . Although many people believe Nurport/Kool menthol are the same or similar - IMO, they are not . . . To ME - Nurports are more minty/sweet tasting, while Kool is more of a "eucalyptus" taste . . . I will PM you later to give you the list of some of the suggestions . . . Hopefully, you will find that one if not more might work for You ! ! ! :)

Do SI cartos have sucralose in them? I don't usually like artificial sweeteners, and I wonder if this is why I'm not too fond of that weird sweet taste in some of the flavors. Imagine, which cartos have some sort of sweetener in them, and which don't? There's some sort of sweet taste in RY4, for instance, and that's why I wondered.

Hmmm ... good question. I'd be interested in knowing that too. BTW - I had the same experience with snacking. I "snack" all day long by vaping on a wide variety of flavors.

Off Topic: This is just so cool I have to share. I'm sitting here at my desk in front of an open window. My vapor is wafting outside in grape-scented clouds. Tom is sitting on the deck railing about 6 feet away giving me the hairy eyeball. Which, when you think about it, what other expressions is a wild turkey capable of? (I know: "Tom" - What an original name for a turkey.)
