Hi everyone - looooong time reader and pretty much still at noob poster. I've been waiting a full year for the mini-super mini PVs to get better, and after reading a couple hundred posts and watching a lot of videos (looking at you, S.Jan), I've decided to give the Volt a try. I was using the V4Life Vapor King with their cartos during Summer 2010, and I found those units to be about 50% of the way to the goal when it comes to finding a real substitute for analogs that look and feel like a real cigarette and do not require much work (modding, filling, etc.). I have a couple of questions that I haven't seen answers to after browsing for a little bit and I think all you Volt experts can help me with answers.

First of all, how many equivalent analog cigarettes would you say are actually in one volt carto? I know they are always advertised as one carto equals one pack of analogs, but I never found that to be anywhere near true. I take about 15 drags on an analog and smoke it for 5-7 mins before it is kicked. For budgetary reasons, I would really like to know how much vaping I can expect. I know this is a subjective topic, but if someone has a good idea of the 'average' number of drags or equivalent number of analogs are in one carto, I think that would guide me in the right direction.

Also, how would you say the Volt works in a relative comparison to the V4Life Vapor King -the V.King model from one year ago? I found the throat hit was a little too heavy (especially for my girlfriend), vapor production was pretty not so good, and the batteries were a bit unreliable and would drain quickly. If the V4Life units were 50% on the way to being able to quit analogs for me, would you say the Volt is 80-90% there? If so, I'm ordering ASAP. TIA

Welcome! Feel free to step outta the shadows, no need to lurk here.

I was a half to 3/4 pack a day smoker of American Spirits which was generally a longer smoking cig, maybe 10 minutes. When I first started a single carto would get me through a day. Now I have so many different flavors going at once I think I've actually increased my intake but stopped keeping track, I fill when necessary.

I cant speak of V4L, never used them, but from everything I've read the current gen. 2 kr808 stuff blows away the product from a year ago. I'm sure folks with first-hand experience will jump in with their opinions.

Best of luck with your search, I'm confident saying give the Volt a try and you won't be disappointed.

this is such a hard question to answer, I drip a few drops in every hour or so and I would say I vape anyhwere from 4-8 mls a day, depending on how much interaction I've had with my boss in that amount of time....

Yea, vaping when the boss around can be tricky. I vape at work, but nobody knows I'm doing it. I wrap my fist around the ecig, covering the LED light with my pinky finger; then, when I take a drag, I hold it in my lungs so that when I exhale there is no vapor to be seen. Have you ever tried that? Works like a charm for me.

I can't say for sure how long a carto lasts me because I have so many flavors going at once. What I can say is that I have used many other KR-808's and will never purchase them again because of battery contact difficulties, charging issues, and disappointing battery life span. The Volt has a regulated battery and horizontal coil cartos which are the best I've ever tried! And now - They will be releasing the first ever sealed auto batteries to begin appearing on the site. Add to that: Customer Service which is top notch. The Volt is a winner all the way around.

Yep - I stealth vaped for three weeks in front of all hospital personnel when my husband was in ICU. It got me through a very difficult time.

I read about the sealed batteries, and, I even spoke with someone at SI today who was telling me that people around the office were loving the sealed batteries and their performance is top notch.

Does anyone know how these things will work? I mean, w/o a hole in the battery, how does the switch know when you're sucking on it? I presume to think that the center-most part of the battery lifts out slightly during suction, triggering a switch, which thereby turns the unit on. Yummy. Can't wait.

One of your questions I can answer. If the throat hit is too much, lower the nic level. I just tried a higher nic level, and taking a full drag on it makes me cough. I'm going to have to learn to cut back on the power/length of a drag on the higher-nic ones.

I know there is the Affiliate Program and all but would it be posible to get a discount/coupon code or credit for refering people to purchasing SI products? I know it might sound wierd to some but I dont really care much for payout in cash. I would rather get a discount on juice or more batteries or cartos ect..

Imagine - I know that you've stated in the past that you expect SI will focus mostly on hardware as opposed to flavors because hardware is your claim to fame. But, I tell you what: Almost every time I try a new SI flavor, I find that it's a "must have". And I DIY !! - literally for years because I couldn't find flavors that blew my skirt up. A lot of us here have stated that we prefer your RY4 to all other's RY4's. The Grapes (both of 'em) are the best grapes I've ever tried. As is the Watermelon. The Cappucino and Chocolate and Mint are awesome as well. I don't mess with the all-tobacco flavors. After more than two years of being a non-smoker, I'm so over tobacco. Perhaps SI is underestimating their abilities? My point is: I think that it would be a mistake to put up a white flag in the flavor department when you have a proven track record of having great nicquids.

So!! Y'all need to add (at the very least):
Lemon-Lime
Strawberry
Blueberry
Waffle
Root Beer and
Orange

Consider this to be an official request from your number one fan! :p

I would like to add to Rave's list: :)

Coconut
Chocolate Mint
White Chocolate
Butterrum (like the LifeSavers)
Peach
Raspberry

Nice! :) But - Just so ya know, If you add their existing Chocolate & Mint together it tastes like Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream. Nom nom nom ...
