Here's a very nice selection of the marbled/twisted/swirly types in acrylic. Very polished and comfortable. I have more of them than I am willing to admit.
Twisted Long 510/901 Drip Tips

What a great selection! I like the cobalt blue one. I really love cobalt blue. Do those fit the Volt cartos? It says 510/901, so I wondered.

WE PETITION THE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION TO:

Recognize electronic cigarettes as an effective alternative to smoking and support job creation in this new industry.
Electronic cigarettes have just begun to capture the attention of the American public, 24% of whom are regular cigarette smokers. This new technology has shown promise in reducing the adverse health effects associated with smoking, while delivering an experience that can satisfy the cravings which make quitting so difficult. It's no secret that smoking accounts for nearly $100 billion dollars in healthcare costs annually- not to mention the productivity lost when smokers fall ill or pass away due to smoking related diseases. The administration's support for this emerging technology would pave the way for reducing the societal costs of smoking, while creating jobs in a new sector which has grown significantly in the past two years. Support job creation and deficit reduction by signing now!

You know that no.9 would look great on my raspberry batt..... lol. i hear good things about altsmoke ;)

Meh - I have the No. 9, and it's more of a deep red, which to my eye, doesn't look great with the raspberry batt (which I also have - of course - lol). It does look fantastic on the red battery though. On my raspberry I have one that's on Altsmoke's Site. It's the No. 8 Metal Drip Tip. Perfect match.

I use these. They fit my Volt cartos beautifully. Once I started using them, I never stopped and don't intend to.

I'm no expert here so I won't give you anything but my opinion, but after having read about it and tried it - the drip tip is comfortable to use, but mostly easy to take off and on so you can "drip" down into your carto to top off without having to fool with the rubber gibbie they come with. Personally, I think they add a little "hit" to the draw, (concentrate it?), and I like that.

Anyone else experienced that they add a little hit to the draw? I was thinking that might up the hit from the lower nic cartos to make them more like the higher nic ones I just got. Then I could only use one vaping technique, which might be easier.

Hmm - not so much of a higher "hit", just more of a concentrated vape. Tough to evaluate ...

By the way - good call on the cobalt blue. It's even purtier in person. I have it too.

Yep - me too. We need A LOT more signatures, and we're running out of time. There's a deadline of the 27th. :(

I also voted at POPVOX.com on S.1403, which includes taxes on ecigs. You can vote for or against and also send a personal email to your Senators. My email included the advice that they check out ecig forums to educate themselves about how ecigs are helping smokers.

Oh no! So know they know where to find all the companies they feel they are not taxing enough since they are not subject to all the massive CigTaxes 8-o

Now I just hope your congressman is from the GOP; if he/she's a Dem this place might be gone by the end of the week...

If they wanted to check out e-cig forums and companies, they could find them without help. I did, after all. I Googled e-cigarettes and finally found ECF, and from there, Volts.

It would be super nice if I could drop all my other accounts and use SI as my go-to... one-stop-shop... But as I've mentioned before... It's better to pick one thing and be the BEST at it, than to be a jack of all trades and a master of none.
Interesting to contemplate what SI will come up with next. I wonder if they are going to sell drip tips or if that's pretty much covered by other vendors and they are focusing on something unique.

Very true - its just Washington is generally a bit slow in recognizing the world around them

Me, too. Six months ago, I didn't even know e-cigs existed. A coworker told me about them. Her son smokes them. She warned me to "get the good kind" but didn't know the brand name of "the good kind," so I proceeded to find out which were "the good kind."

@ Darkstar - The government is well aware of e-cigs, where we hang out, and where we get our supplies from. We went through a long, drawn-out court battle with the FDA over these things. I'm quite certain that, at least at that time, they were monitoring this forum as well. We all had to be quite careful of what we said for awhile.

There will eventually be taxes levied on our nicquid sooner or later because it has been classified as a tobacco product. They're just trying to figure out how to go about it, I suspect. This was a better resolution than being classified as a drug because then, we would have been banned outright until clinical trials could be completed. That could have taken decades and a ton of cash. Enjoy it now while it is affordable. Learn DIY to defray the upcoming costs of nicquid (and possibly even equipment), although it is likely that the liquid nicotine will be taxed as well and may be affected by the PACT Act. BTW - There were opposers and defenders on both sides of the political arena. Of course, Big Pharma and Big Tobacco and those in bed with them were, and still are, our worst enemies right along with the general public's preconceived ideas.

Welcome JP Guinness!

....First of all, how many equivalent analog cigarettes would you say are actually in one volt carto?....

Also, how would you say the Volt works in a relative comparison to the V4Life Vapor King -the V.King model from one year ago? ...

How many equivalent analog cigs is in a cartomizer is way subjective. One big reason is I don't vape like I smoked. When I smoked, I smoked a cig, took about 7 minutes, then it might be an hour before I lit up another. But vaping, I tend to vape pretty steadily while doing certain things, like watching a movie, I'll vape the whole 2 hours and hold it, play with it in my hands pretty much the whole time. Don't think I've ever just vaped for 7 min, put it down, and come back to it in an hour, lol. But a cartomizer lasts me about 5 hours if I'm vaping it steadily like this. That would be 2 1/2 movies, so how many cigarettes would I smoke if I watched 2 1/2 movies? 5? 10? Depends. But if I'm out and about, meeting up with friends, having lunch, running errands, going to physical therapy, one cartomizer lasts the whole day. That's without topping it off.

However, I don't typically vape a cartomizer dry and toss it. I vape it until it tastes like it could use a little more eliquid and then I take it off the battery and top it off, oh, about 10 drops down into the side of the filler, turning the cartomizer while I'm doing it. You can see that video on the SI website under their Eliquid category. Doing it this way, a cartomizer lasts me 3 days to a week before it would need cleaning, which would make it last longer, but by then I feel I've gotten my money's worth and toss it nowadays.

As for the Vaporking from a year ago, I wasn't vaping those a year ago, I was into Egos, big battery mods, making my own mods, plus all sorts of atomizers, cartomizers, clearomizers, and making my own atties. But I did try some penstyle 510 units to help friends find cheaper vapes, and those batteries lasted only about an hour, with the best vape being at the beginning and then it tapered off. Volt batteries last me, if vaping like while watching a movie, 65mm maybe the whole 2 hour movie, 78mm will last the whole movie and an hour or so after that. But the good part about the Volt batteries is that they vape good the whole time until just before the blinking LED to recharge it happens.

It's the balanced system that make Volts so good. The resistance of the cartomizers is paired nicely with the power from the batteries to make a warm, vaporous, flavorful vape. And you get a lot of vaping out of just that small amount, 1ml or so, of eliquid, saving a lot of money and mess right there.

Happy vaping, and again, welcome to the SI bunch!
