It looks like they might come out a tad small. On another note i got an early surprise in the mail, two weeks early!! whooo hoo the new automatic batt, i got it in black with green led.. SUper awesome.

Great shots. I see you used your "horse" as I did mine, which you said you were going to do. I was waiting to see the shots.

Sorry all, know youre probably tired of my (getting longer) music posts - but you have to ignore one more :D hehehe

I like to think I'm still growing, so I want to keep liking new music. But I must say that I can't wrap my mind around rap/hip hop. I managed punk, and that seems to be as far as I can go. I think it's regrettable. I wish I could learn to like new music. I bet I could, if someone exposed me to a lot of it, and it was the best of what's out there. I think we don't stagnate about music as much as we don't get so exposed to the new stuff.

BTW, even though exposed to an appropriate extent, I never really liked Seattle grunge. It sounds depressing, like they are on ....... Something that turned me off to the Velvet underground, too, for the most part. There's something dreary sounding about it.

I think Raps (which is largely dead itself now :( ) importance came in a couple things. First, it revived Funk (which had been nearly completely killed off by Disco) and that meant some new-found interest in music complexity. (Which is ironic really, seeing as they were merely using the old records on turn tables themselves) Second, it was a huge revival of pure Story Telling - an art which was nearly lost in most everything outside of maybe Country. And it was ultimately a modern day interpretation of the one-on-one, anyone can do it style which in a way harkened way back to good'ol days of backwoods Blues, Folk and Bluegrass bands. It was a style in which so many could see themselves participating in in some way - putting music back on the streets and local house parties in a much larger size then it had been during the days of glam and stylized pop.

The Seattle scene and Alt-Rockers did this on their side as well, making the idea of a true garage band a popular reality once more; while many of them also focused heavily on storytelling. The best thing about both comes in the fact that they stressed music didnt need to be "polished" anymore though - it just needed to be expressed! It was kind of like the attitude of punk exploding in two styles which could revive their respective music roots (Rock and R&B had both all but died, giving way nearly completely to varying forms of watered down pop.)

Oh, and not all grunge had that feel you disliked - but the vast majority of it did because, well, it was part of the music style itself. Its the disillusionment and angst of a lost generation put off by the vanity and shallowness of the world they were brought into. But a few songs, like this one, are just straight gorgeous and fairly profound: Pearl Jam - Elderly Woman Behind The Counter In A Small Town - YouTube

What about this, which has a rap sound? Faith No More - Epic - [Official video] - YouTube where does it fit in? I've always liked it, in spite of not liking rap or hip-hop in general.

That brings back some memories right there! There were a couple bands like that bridging the gap between the two up and coming genres from a more rock background - with the Chilli Peppers probably being one of the more memorable.

And okay everyone - I'll shut up about music now :D

Nice photos! :) I like the second and the third one the best.

Glad you got your order earlier than expected. I agree, the black batt with the green LED is cool.

A friend uses an ammo case to hold his cartos. Works with the condoms on or off. It's so organized! Knows which carts are cleaned, which need to be cleaned and which are his filled carts and when he filled them.

Dang! I want one!

Y'know, I was thinking recently how cartridge belts, or something similar, might hold cartos. This seems to be along that line.
